Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

I'm surprised you're getting a spinal also. It's very uncommon to have a spinal done when removing a cerclage, but hey they are the doctors right...lol. Maybe your cerclage was placed very high on your cervix. Mine was placed very low because I had already effaced and bag of waters had to be pusshed back up. Anyway GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Hello, I saw your posting on the IC forum. First things first, CONGRATS on beating IC. I had my stitch removed at 35wks, I was 3cm dilated and 50% effaced with my stitch in place. I was scared because I thought it was going to hurt, so wrong. It was like having a pap smear, the doctor just snipped it w/o any pain medication. I made it to 36w 5d and had my baby boy. Good luck

I saw your question on the cerclage page and let me tell you. I had my first cerclage and the doctor acted like I would go into labor about 48 hours after I got it removed. She sent me home 4 centimeters dialated. Well 2 weeks later they induced my labor. Fact is it depends when the baby wants to come out. Sorry if that isn't the answer you were looking for. Hope yours happens quick.

Hello,
I saw your question about how soon after a c-section can you try for another. I had my daughter by c-sec in Jan. (1998) was put on the pill. By April I was preggers again!! Another c-sec. Got the Shot nine months later I was preggers again. Congrats on your pregnancy!

Thanks ayesha. I'm finding there are so many women that have been through this. It's more common than I ever realized. Doesn't make it any easier, though. I'm sorry for your loss too.

dear Ayesha , thanks for your message . My doctor really didnot explain to me anything and just told me it was due to IC , i dont know whther he told this to save himself ..he didnot even tell me what was the exact reason ... i went to see another gyn and he advised me of suture .I really wanted my baby and it is hard for me to accept the fact am no more preg.I will have to have a close monitoring also next time .thanks for your advise dear

I also have IC,and had cerclage at 16wks.I have not been on bedrest at all but the doc. told me not to go back to work. I stand all day also. He said it would put to much presure on my cervix. Everyone is different , just be very careful.
