Approaching wk 21 and i still don't think i've felt the baby move. i dunno, i think i have but then when i try to check again...nothing. i know he's in there and moving...i've seen it on the U/S but i just can't feel it yet. i'm starting to get that nesting feeling. i wasn't sure about a nursery before (lack of space) but i'm starting to think about how we can make space so that our lil one has his own room.

21 weeks. i had the big U/S today. it was about 45 minutes long. probably because the techs were having a hard time getting good shots of my lil one's heart and spine. nothing to worry about or anything. he was just really active and the position he was in wasn't working for them. he was laid back kickin it with his feet crossed at the ankles. it was pretty funny to see him just chillen in my belly. his heart rate is 147 and his lil feet are 3.40cm long. he's so adorable. i think he has his daddy's lips and maybe nose (my bf swears he'll have the signature nose...probably will). i go back in two weeks to try to get the heart and spine shots again. so i get another peek at my lil prince! yayee!

22 weeks. my lil boy begins to start movin whenever i'm online or text messaging his daddy. it's crazy, it's like he knows his daddy is talking to me so he starts gettin excited and moves a lot in my belly. i don't know how much the baby weighs yet. i'm hoping to find out on tuesday at my next appt. he's gotta be big cuz i'm definitley showing a lot. my parents started laughing when they saw me today. they kept callin me their munchkin. i think it was the first time they saw me with a regular shirt on and not any work clothes or maternity shirts. i helped them decorate the tree today. they decided to put one up this year since they have a grandkid on the way. even bought him a lil stocking even though he won't be born until march. they've definitely got the grandparents bug. lol

22 weeks and 6 days. i had my dr appt today. it went pretty well. my lil boy is growing right at the right pace. he's currently 586 grams so that's about 1lb 4ounces. it's good to know since i was worried my weight gain was makin for a chubby lil baby. he's right on schedule with the march 12-14 delivery date. i got to see his lil legs...they're actually kinda long. i think he gets that from his daddy. my weight gain has slowed down a lil bit. last month i had gained 11lbs in one month and this month i've gained 6lbs. so i think i've made progress with controlling my weight. now if i could just solve the sleep deprivation issue, acne on the chest, stretch marks on the boobies, and find a way that my bf can feel the baby's kicks i'll be good to go. lol

it's been a lil while since my last update. i'm currently 25 wks and 4 days. i got married on 19 November to my boyfriend Derrick Mack. I also turned 27 on Thanksgiving. That was the first day my husband felt the baby kick and the first day we saw him move from the outside of my belly. i'm doing good. aside from heartburn and my nightly bathroom trips i'm enjoying my pregnancy. my lil one is just as active as can be. my husband and i nicknamed him "happy feet" because of his lil tap dance sessions he likes to hold in my belly around 11p.m.

we love it. i now have play time with him too. we play the "pokey game" he kicks or punches me and i give him a lil gentle poke back. it's my way of interacting with him. my husband thought i was a lil wierd but then our lil prince kicked him while he had his hand resting on my belly and kept kicking him so he started playin the pokey game too. (^_^)

I have another U/S scheduled Wednesday due to a floating membrane that was visible during my anatomy U/S. it wasn't attached to anything and wasn't obstructing the baby in anyway. They say the anatomy U/S was all good and that the main radiologist just wants to settle his curiosity and piece of mind by taking another look. it's been 2 weeks since the last one so maybe it went away or something. all in all they said there's nothing to worry about. so we'll see what all the fuss is about on wednesday.

Well i'm currently 27...almost 28 weeks. it's crazy how time has flown by. i had that U/S i was talking about. the dr watched my lil one move for 20 minutes to see if he was scared of this membrane or if he got stuck to it but neither happened so, so far so good. turns out this membrane is attached to the walls. hopefully it stays harmless. my lil prince is still active as can be. he loves the pokey game...or at least i like to think so. otherwise he's cursin me out every time we play. lol. it's funny, i was cuddled up to my hubby the other night and he could feel the baby kick him in his back. lol i'm currently 147lbs. yikes! i've gained 27lbs so far and still have some weeks to go. i have my glucose test sunday so i'm trying my best to be good this week and stay away from the sweets (i was so bad last week). let's hope my strategy works. i really don't want to be on a special diet or anything like that. i heard it sucks pretty bad.

i had my 28 wk check up yesterday. everything looks good for my lil one. he's currently head down with his back and lil booty to my right and his legs stretched in front of him to the left of my belly. that explains why i get the strongest kicks to the left. he seems to be quite comfy head down as he's been that way for at least 2wks now. he's measuring at 3.1 lbs. which is a lil big from what i hear. but he gained 1/2 a pound in 2 weeks so i think that's normal. i dunno. i just want my baby to be healthy and not huge. we're gonna try to get a 4d scan today. kinda like an early christmas present to ourselves. i can't wait!

Grrr...can i just say that the marine corps is makin me hate them more and more. i don't mean to offend anyone out there. it's just that more often than not they do things the retarded, makes absoutely no sense, has no common sense, just plain stupid way. i'm 29 wks pregnant and my husband is getting out of the usmc. i'm a civilian (basically got a job on a military base and have base access via ID card) overseas and my husband is here too. well, instead of allowing him to separate from the military overseas they are sending him back to the U.S. to separate. which is dumb because once he gets out, literally the second he's separated from the military he becomes a dependent under me (basically he's able to stay overseas and have base access because of me and my job). so it would make sense to have him separate here right? plus it's extra money for the usmc to send him back and extra money for us to buy a one way ticket back to japan from the U.S. AND i'm pregnant!! (that should be reason enough!) but no, they're being retarded and sending him back. so he leaves saturday and now we gotta figure out when he'll come back (gotta look at airfare prices). i'm just so ready for him to get out of the military and come home!

I had my appt yesterday and everything looks good. Lil man is weighing 4.8 lbs at 33weeks. I'm weighing 158lbs. I gained 4 1/2 lbs in 2 wks. The nurse told me that I could stop trying to gain weight now. She's lucky she' s usually a sweet woman or else I might have had to say something smart. My belly seems to grow by the hour. my lil one is always moving around. he's been in the "ready" position for 2months or so now so hopefully i won't have to worry about the possibility of him becoming breech. Sleep...what's that? it's so hard to sleep longer than an hour. and leg cramps w/swollen feet...i hope i never have to experience those after our son is born. i keep thinking my belly is sitting lower but it could be my imagination since i'm anxious. i just have this feeling the baby is gonna make an early appearence. i'm still trying to plan my maternity leave. i really want to be home with my son for at least 3 months after he's born. and at the same time i need to save up leave to visit my in-law's in june. (sigh)...if only we had awesome maternity leave. oh well, gotta deal with whatcha get right. my girls had a baby shower for me. it was really nice to see everyone. turns out one of my friends is now 3 months preggo and getting married. it feels like we're all growing up. lol i got a lot of stuff i asked for. and my dad's coworker gave me her old baby clothes. i think we've got 0-3 months covered now. my hubby is still in the U.S. he'll be back in a week. i can't wait! Until then though i miss him. he'll be sitting in for me at the baby shower his mom and aunt are throwing us. he's not feelin the whole bunch of women ooing and awwing over lil blue things but he's gonna be a good sport. i'm excited to see what we get from that shower. let's just hope he can fit it all in his suitcase. (^_^) i'm starting to slowly feel prepared for the baby to come. physically though, if contractions hurt worse than leg cramps i'm in for a rough ride.

Well I went for my checkup last night and everything looks good. I'm now 35 wks. The baby measures at 5.6lbs which is right on target. He only gained 1lb in 2wks and amazingly I only gained 1lb in 2 weeks! That was good news. i'm already considered to be on the heavy side for my prepregnancy weight and height. Oh well, i'll just have to work harder to get back to my pre pregnant self. My husband and I attending a baby boot camp that taught basic baby care such as diapering, bathing, etc... My husband was the class star as he knew all the tricks for everything from taking care of his lil sister. I on the otherhand am completely new to all of this so I will be leaning on my husband a lot for help. I posted pics from the class if anyone cares to look. There is a growing possibility i will have my baby early. My doctor already told me that he'll start checking my cervix a week earlier than he normally would. I have to get my strep B test next time too. I'm definitely ready for my lil boy to be here but it's getting the baby out of my belly and into my arms process that i'm not ready for. I'm seriously thinking about going natural for my first child. That's probably why i'm not quite ready for the actual delivery...i'm afraid of the pain! My husband said he didn't quite understand how i could be partially ready and was like "so what" about the pain. I know he doesn't mean anything by it...i need to find something for him to go through that will closely resemble labor and delivery pain. lol it's getting closer and closer to showtime. The weeks have been flying by! I almost forgot to mention...my hubby's family's baby shower was really nice. I wasn't able to attend since it was in the U.S. but from the looks of it we got a lot of stuff for the baby. All of it wouldn't fit in the extra suitcase so we're waiting for packages to arrive with our big items. Now my coworkers are talking about having a shower for me before i go on leave. This baby is not going to need anything extra after everything is said and done. we are truely blessed. (^_^)

i went to the dr's on wednesday and i'm pleased to announce that i'm already 3 cm's dilated at 37wks. (^o^)/ so the doc says i should have the baby any day now. so no march baby for us. that's cool though. i'm excited and nervous. and i'm dying to get rid of the swollen feet-to-ankle-to-calf-to-knee's! they're so swollen now it hurts sometimes! i'm slowly gettin over a cold...gotta get rid of it before the baby gets here. my coworkers threw a shower for me today. it was so nice. we had a ton of good food...deep fried turkey, all the great side dishes, and a ton of desserts! i got a lot of nice gifts for the baby from play gyms, toys, clothes, blankets, lots of gift cards, money, and a ton of wipes! it was a lot of fun and now i'm exhausted...but i still have another hour of work so i gotta tough it out. i might go to my friend's "spice it up"party tonight to check out some "after baby" fun products. (^_^) i just hope i have the energy to go. my hubby is tryin to kick me out the house just so i can be social. lol as long as my water doesn't break at her house i'm good. this week is my last week of full time work. next week i'll be working half days...baby pending. (^_^) oh and we picked the first name. it's cameron! still workin on the middle name though. so far it's cameron mack! i can't wait to meet him!

Well i came back from the dr's and nothing has changed except my cervix has softened. So i'm still 3cm dilated with a now soft cervix. and the dr still says "any day now." i'm kinda disapointed because i was hoping to have dilated a lil more in a week but no luck. he says to walk a lot but how do you walk a lot when your feet and ankles are swollen beyond recognition?! it's uncomfortable just to walk thru a store or to the bathroom let alone going for a walk. grrrr... i'm excited to have the baby but also nervous and anxious. my husband feels the same way. i have to be careful in how i wake him up when it's time for him to drop me off at work. if i wake him up just saying "baby, it's time" he sits up fast and hesitates a minute because he's not sure if i mean it's time to take me to work or time for us to go to the hospital. lol he's too cute. oh, we finalized our son's name. it's cameron takumi mack. (^_^) well my hubby thinks i'll go into labor today, i was bettin on tomorrow...guess we'll wait and see who's right (hopefully one of us is).
