Thursday, 27 Mar You should find out if it's safe to split your iron pills in half. Just ask at any pharmacy and then buy a pill spliter. I have to split my prenatal vitamins because I gag on them. babyboysmama -
Thursday, 27 Mar My doc told me the pills or the liquid would be fine for me. I would just double check w/ your doc, but i'm sure it's fine DanaLee -
Wednesday, 26 Mar hi! my baby was breech at 32 weeks and now at 34 weeks she is head down.. I got on my hands and knees a lot (try for when baby is active & deep breathing while you are in position to relax the muscles around baby) and stayed there for as long as I could every day. Not sure if thats what did it but worth a try.. babyboysmama -
Wednesday, 26 Mar There are levels of being anemic...depending on how low your iron levels are...but it's definetly good that you're on the supplements eitherway. I got put on them a couple of weeks ago...I was wondering why I was feeling sooo tired, and even dizzy for a couple of weeks...That was it though snowwhite5thbabe -
Wednesday, 26 Mar Hi!

Tuesday, 18 Mar Well I can't say its all been healthy food that would be a lie but its a balance I am eating healthy and I eat junk if I want to which is something here or there. I have been eating alot of wheat bread and pasta and that is known to put weight on you so that might have something to do with it too. NJDevChick -
Tuesday, 18 Mar The baby won't drop completely overnight, the process takes a couple of days, I don't think you look skinnier, just a little heavier on the bottom now rather then the top. Niamh-Jo -
Friday, 4 Jan No probs! And thanks for your reply! Well, I like the idea of keeping your protein up, but perhaps with something other than Slim-fast! For all I know the ingredients of 'Slim-Fast' might be all perfectly good, but I'd probably be more inclined to making my own smoothies or something... Since Slim-fast is supposed to be for losing weight I'd probably be inclined not to use it! I'd stick to otherh ways of getting protein into me, like cheese, eggs, meat, yoghurts, lentils, beans etc... you could make your own protein shake out of bananas, yoghurt, nuts and seeds etc... Like you, I think the idea of slim-fast sounds quite bizarre! ... You are due the day after me -- do you know what you're expecting; boy/girl? xxx Megane -
Friday, 4 Jan I had really bad nausia the first trimester. My doctor told me to take 1/2 unisom with 100-200 mg of b6 before bed. It took away the nausia and also helped me sleep better. She said that people have been taking it for years and years and no problems. I took it for 8 weeks and baby boy is very healthy no problems.
My dr. also told me (with all of my pregnancies) that if I have trouble sleeping to take 1/2 a benedryl. She said its totally safe.
GL with your decision.

Friday, 4 Jan like you, I would be very wary of having to take things like that -- I had to take a course of antibiotics a few weeks ago, for one week, and I hated having to do it, but it was for the sake of the babies (twins), but now I would not take anything else except my pregnacare vitamin supplement, because I think you're just better off not taking anything unless it's really necessary. I find sleeping difficult too, and not the most comfortable, but I'd rather stay natural and carry on with what I'm doing. Yes, they are doctors, and they should/do know what they're doing, but docs who prescribed thalidomide years ago also seemed to know what they were doing.. I know I'm sounding dramatic here, and docs know a lot more these days, but they don't know everything so I would stick to the natural ways as much as I can if I were you! good luck xxx MomKatt007 -
Thursday, 3 Jan I had kidney stones and they put me on Dilaudid, heres what they told me... of course it would be better for the pregnancy if i didn't take that, but I have to take care of me first in order to take care of the baby, and I'm sure if your dr prescribed it then its ok... i too have sleeping problems i take 1 tylenol pm at night and it does the trick. Thursday, 3 Jan Unisom is totally safe. I have had hyperemesis this whole pregnancy and have been on a Zofran pump, phenerghan, reglan, b6 and UNISOM. I also have been on home care with 24/7 IV's and then a PICC line. Unisom helps with nausea and also helps you sleep. It's not addicting and it doesn't hurt the baby! :) brandi0881 -
Thursday, 3 Jan If the doc prescribes it, then it is safe for the baby. Not everything you do effects the baby. It has to cross the placenta before it has any effect on the baby. Some medicines never cross the placenta. Those are the safe ones to take. Trust your doc...he is a doctor for a reason. amberd -
Thursday, 3 Jan that sounds just like what my husband would say!! but thanks God I havent had any problems sleeping not even with Cason so I am not sure what to say about that but I have had a cold and my dr told me to take robutussin but a friend of mine here at work says not to so I guess our drs did go to school not being ugly to your family but if you feel comfortable with you ob/gyn then you should trust them but if you have ever had to question them then you might wont to call another dr maybe and just see what they say about it?? amberd -
