Ready for a walk!

6 year old Damian reading to Aaden.

First taste of rice cereal 4 mo 1 week.

First time in crib 3 1/2 mo.

Maddy, Damian, and James in the mountain.

Hiking in the mountains.

Hiking.

Aaden 2 weeks old

I love this outfit from baby Gap.

Aaden

1 week old-Aaden is such a sweet little baby and I am so in love with him. He always wants to eat when he is awake even if has only been an hour since his last feeding, and my nipples are so sore and blistered i'm not so sure he is latching on correctly, but he finally let me sleep almost through the whole night so this is the first day I am not completely sleep deprived.

3 weeks old- Aaden is growing fast, he weighs more than 9 pounds already. He holds his head up real well, and smiled at me for the first time when he saw me coming to pick him up. Aaden still wakes up every 2 hours to eat at night and he won't stay asleep in his bassinet so I have to sleep in the rocking chair with him in my arms. He is also a pretty gassy baby and cries alot after feedings it is difficult but all worth it for him!

Aaden is almost 7 weeks! Why is he growing so fast? Aaden has outgrown all of his cute newborn clothes and most of his newborn traits. He is still waking every 2-3 hours at night and my sleep is suffering but thats okay 'cus I miss him even when i'm sleeping:)

Aaden is already 3 months and he is so big, people say he looks 5 or 6 months! He has the sweetest personality and will smile and tell stories if you'll listen. He knows momma well and perfers I hold him. He is grabbing toys and blankets now and can bring them to his mouth, he also gives me a 5 hour stretch of sleep at night now and is still nursing full-time.

Aaden is 4 1/2 months and so much fun! He can crawl (or scoot) backwards, roll both ways, and sit up on his hands. Lately he is waking 3-4 times a night now and napping 4-5 times a day. He is completely bored of his swing, bouncer, playpen and walker and prefers to be held. He loves to talk and laugh and I just love him to death!

5 months and crawling! I am so shocked, my other 3 kids didn't crawl until 8-10 months. Aaden is into everything, trying to get in the kitchen, getting movies out etc. time to child proof! Aaden is also a very good baby only a little fussing when he is tired. He is now eating rice cereal and homemade baby food, and he likes it so far. Wakes 2-3 times a night, but occasionally wakes only once a night.

6 months- Aaden is crawling and sitting up independently. He also pulled himself up to stand at the couch twice today and likes to climb on his brothers when they are on the floor! He just wants to grow up so fast!

See what I picked!

Helping mom in the garden 6 months.

Cute Face!

Aaden 2 weeks he does a lot of this.

I am 26 years old and have been married for 6 years, Ray and I met when I was 17 and still living at my moms house and he was 25 and living next door as a bachelor. Ray is from Guatemala and so he is a very family oriented, down-to-earth kind of guy and a great father. It is always fun to see him teach the kids spanish and his native language kackchiquel. We are a fun family and spend a lot of time in the mountains camping, fishing and riding our atvs. My husband also has a cute 12 year old boy that is half mexican that lives 2 states away.

me pregnant, and my husband and son at the lake.

I love it when they are little, so innocent.

how exciting that we gave birth on the same day! I really thought I would have given birth on April 2nd, but he took his sweet time to come. I see you have me beat by one child. congrats on the birth of your baby. my hubby and I have known eachother since we were 15 years old.

hey, saw your message about your baby wanting to nurse all the time. I know it's painful, but the baby is building up your supply. don't doubt your supply right now, just trust your body and your baby. as far as the blisters and soreness, do you have access to a lactation consultant or a midwife? it may be that yor positioning or latch is not correct and that's why it hurts. hang in there -- you're doing great! and congratulations on your baby!!

Thanks for your message! I had the NTS test today and she is doing just fine. I hope I will be able to find out more at Thursday's ultra sound. I have faith everything is going to be perfect with both of us ;) Keep me posted on how you are doing!

Hi there,

I just came across your page from the high risk posts. I am curious how they found out about the umbilical artery you were diagnosed with? I am 31 weeks and high risk because of chronic high blood pressure so I have had multiple ultra sounds. Everything was going great and my baby girl was looking perfect until yesterday's ultra sound. They can't tell me what it is or give me any answers other than there is an accumulation of blood where the umbilical cord goes into her belly. There is no other evident problems and she is on track with her weight. I just wish I knew something. They are doing the stress test and ultra sounds starting every week now. The specialist told me to get my pediatrician set up this week. From what I am gathering I am thinking that they may be delivering me early. I asked what the worst case would be and she said something about birth defects which clearly are not evident in the ultra sounds other than this fluid accumulation. I am just baffled because it was never there before and I wish I had some answers. Does this sound like anything you are going through? On the ultrasound I saw a round circle of dark right on our babies belly where the umbilical cord is attached. Although she didn't give me a name like they gave you. They just didn't have an answer. Ugh!

I am glad to hear everything is going good with your pregnancy. You are getting really close :) Thanks for any information you may be able to share!

It's definatley a popular name...and there are soooo many ways to spell it!!! I think Aaron is worried about Aayden not knowing him when he comes home...but we're gonna get web cams so that Aayden can see and hear his daddy almost everyday...but it's good to know that the shyness will not last forever!!!

Sounds like what happened with me but i hadn't dilated. I said to my boyfriend yesterday 'I hope you are ready, what if we are having a baby today.' It is a scary thought that they may decide to come as early as now

yeah the braxton hicks, i finally realised babes not gonna fall out, its been 3 days or so, and they stay the same never get worse, just alot of em. so i have def gotten used to it, it was very weird at first. but 2nd bub, so not too woried cause i think youre right, it gets more noticable with each one. oh i love your new baby's name. that is really beautiful!

Thanks, I'd love to know how everything turns out for you and the baby. I'm sure he will be perfect! I would feel more assured that the docs want to watch you more closely, it just means you are getting great care. You are past the critical point so if you are good so far it's just like the home stretch from here on in.

barbi - Tuesday, 29 Jan
Hi KC, thanks for your message on circumcision. It's a tough one for me. You are also only the second person I found on this site that has a two vessel cord. It sounds like all 3 or our babies are doing ok so far though. I still worry and that darn internet can be the worst thing! Of course I tried to research what a SUA was since the perintologist told me so little and what I found was so scary! I went back crying to my doctor who banned me from using the internet! The docs don't seem all that worried about it but I sure am. How have your doctors responded?

Congratulations on your pregnancy sweetie!

I read your page, what does a single umbilical artery mean for the baby?

jenn1022 - Sunday, 20 Jan
I think I might know what you are talking about with the thighs hurting, My inner thighs have been hurting for awhile now too, I wonder what its from!

Congratz on ur pregnancy.

keez1979 - Wednesday, 9 Jan
I have not experienced this, but my older sister did. Her baby also had a two-vessel umbilical cord. Turned out that her son had a heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot. He had heart surgery at 6 months of age and is now completely healthy. It was very hard on my sister, but with alot of prayer and support they made it through everything. This all just happened last year. I will say a prayer for your little one today. Lots of babies are born with cords like this and are completely fine. Just trust in God that everything will be okay. If you would like, I can ask my sister if I can give you her e-mail address so that you can talk to someone else who has experienced this. Congrats on your pregnancy, though. It will all work out in the end, you'll see!
