Kannon is now one month old!! He is already learning how to smile and it just melts my heart. He's very strong and we have start to give him Tummy Time so strengthen his back. He is a very neat person. :)

I've wanted children all my life. (since I was 14) I married the man of my dreams at 27. I want to focus on more positive things, for the baby. Things get better every day.

We decide that we are not going to find out the gender of our baby which makes it harder to pick names and go shopping but I think it'll be worth it. My sister is going crazy, not knowing! LOL.

I'm one of the lucky girls who is Rh negative so I will be getting the Rhogam shot at 28 weeks and when the baby is born. But before this happens, we are going to get my hubby's blood tested to see what his blood type is. We are hoping he has a negative type. If that's the case then I won't have to get the shot.

I want to have our baby at home but I'm a little scared. I was born at home and I love telling people that. I also want a water birth. Hopefully we will be able to do everything we want. Anyone else planning a home water birth? Care to share any of your thoughts? I'd love to hear it...

I had daddy on the cell phone so he could hear baby's heart beat too. He couldn't come to the appointment with me so I brought my mom ;)

I just found out that my husbands blood type has the negative Rh factor. Which means that I don't have to get the Rhogam shot!!! Yay, I'm so happy!!
I think father in heaven made us for each other. :)

I had my big ultra sound today and we have a very healthy baby! 10 fingers, 10 toes and one nose! We proved to have enough will power to not find out the gender. Still feeling it's a boy though. I can't wait to kiss my baby's sweet face!

Had an appointment yesterday. Doc says everything looks good. Baby `s heart rate was 136 and I was measuring at 26 weeks. Looks like baby went through a little growth spurt!

Wednesday, 22 January

I have so much pain in my ribs. It feels like they are ripping apart. If I move in a certain way I get a shocking pain but it only lasts for a few seconds. Being pregnant is so much harder than I ever thought it would be. I'm not complaining, just an observation.

I feel like time is going by so slow. These weeks are dragging on and on, ugh. On the bright side I feel like I get to enjoy my pregnancy longer. :) I've been able to start identifying the baby's body parts, like a foot or something! I just love when baby move around!

Wednesday, 20 February

I got a call yesterday from my doctors office saying that I failed the 1 hour glucose test. So I went in today for the 3 hour glucose. That wasn't very fun as they have to draw blood 4 times! Once when you get there and then every hour for 3 hours after that. I got a lot of reading done tough! I hope it all turns out ok and I'm not really worried about it either way. ----> Yay, I passed the 3 hour glucose test!!!

I`ve been seeing a lot of comments from women saying they want their baby out now and that they can`t wait to meet the baby. I don`t feel this way. I love feeling my little one move around in my belly and want my tummy to get bigger!! I know it`s a lot easier to take care of my baby while s/he is on the inside as apposed to the outside!!

So it seems that everything has happened in this last week. Swelling in the feet, heartburn and loads of Braxton-Hicks!! Had an appointment with the doctor today and she said that my cervix was soft and open only a fingertip. Hopefully I will dilate more in these next couple weeks. I've been seeing my doctor and a Midwife as well. We are still planning a home water birth but should anything go wrong, we will head to the hospital.

Friday, 11 April

Just got back from the doctor's and I'm 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced! Yay! Hope I progress quickly...can't wait to see what baby looks like and if it's a boy or girl!! Doctor estimated the baby is going to weight 7lbs 14oz but this is only a guess. It'll be fun to see if she's close. Baby's head has not engaged into the pelvis and is still high.

16 days until my due date and I am so scared....Scared about being a good mom. I hope I'm a good mom to this little person that has chose me to bring them into this world and to teach them about life. We all make mistakes and I pray that any mistake I make doesn't have a lasting negative effect. We are always learning.

Friday, 25 April

Today is a good day. I feel really good today. Just got back from the doctor's office. Just over 1 cm dilated and about 70% effaced. Today, I feel so grateful to have such an awesome family. My sister and her kids and my brother and his daughter mean so much to me and I love them tremendously!! I am so glad that they are part of my life. I am also so grateful that Erik is the father of our child. I know that may sound strange but the thought of him being the daddy of my child makes me feel so happy because I know he is going to be such a good father. I feel so blessed to have all these people as a part of my life and I'm am so excited to hold, kiss and love our baby!!

Friday, 2 May

Went to the doctor to day and still only about 1 cm dilated but now about 80% effaced. Doctor thinks baby will be over 8 pounds! Whoa!

Wednesday, 7 May

Well, today is my due date and no baby. But that's ok. I'm feeling pretty good about things and my little one may just need a little more time. Doctor said I am 3+ cm dilated and 90% effaced with a bulging bag. She doesn't think I'll last another week...YAY, happy about that!! I've been losing my plug over the past 3 days and have been having contraction with lots of pressure and a bit of pain. I'm ready for this baby, I even clipped my finger nails! Won't be long now..... :)

your welcome! believe me I know how much it hurts, tears would come down my face when he latched on, I couldn't wait for it to end, and I would dread it when he was hungry. now I want to feed him all day lol. Try vitamin E oil if you have cracks, it helped me within a matter of days! Good luck!

hey! Yes, I did go to the Dr. and they checked my baby out for thrush. He did not have it. I was in SOOOO much pain but someone told me to wait it out until the 6th week and guess what?? He's 6 weeks today and breastfeeding is PAINLESS!! I had the most painful experience but I didn't give up. Hot showers twice a day helped and airing out my nipples too!! Good luck!!
