Hello, my name is Kimberly and I have been together with my husband Matt 11 years 1996. We are high school sweethearts ! We have been married since 2003. We suffered a miscarriage in 2003. It took me a while to get over that. Then it just tumbled from there. Sad story I lost a loving grandfather 3/12/04, and then my loving daddy 10/12/04. Then this past 5/6/07 My whole world closed in on me when I found out my beautiful, so lovable brother Christopher passed away. So two months after that I knew something was going on when my breasts started to hurt so bad and I was late for my period. I took a test and not even 30 seconds two pink lines showed up. I didn't believe it so I took another test and then I still didn't believe it until I went to see my ob/gyn!!!! WOW I am pregnant what a journey this has been. I love being pregnant. I was really hoping for a boy, because of all the men now gone and up in heaven, but I'm so thrilled to be bringing in a little girl by the name of Kayla Christiana into this world. When I had the miscarriage in 2003 I was 12 weeks pregnant and I really thought I was carrying a girl. Well here she comes...

glad to see that my baby isnt the only one that poops in the bath! Unfortunately I have an infant bath that is like a 3 inch thick sponge thing covered by bathing suit material - so it soaked right through. GROSS!

hey there kim glad to see you're enjoying the winderful life of motherhood! i'm so relieved to hear you healed very well mine has yet to close 100%!!! and it's been 2 months! peanut had his 2 month check up today... got his shots the stupid nurse went in too deep and ended up hittin his bone :( my poor baby is VERY fussy he's sleeping on me right now so i'm practicing my typing witth one hand ha! his dr found a hernia today =( bummed me out alot he said he's pretty sure it'll go away on it's own we jus gotta keep an eye on it. if it dun close then it's surgery for my little one =( hope not since he's been through so much already!
i''ll keep my fingers crossed for kayla let's hope she's at least at her birth weight! my baby is now weighing more than kayla the way he should LOL he weighed 7lbs 12 oz today woohoo hes gettin there he gained a pound in a week! well enough of me writing you a novel hope 2 hear from ya soon!

We always knew deep down that she was a girl - and we were right! Everything is going well. Malone has some gas issues which is no fun for anyone, but luckily it only causes trouble for about 3 hours a day. Then she's a good baby who takes lots of naps and eats well. But man oh man, those fussy hours are rough. It's not every day and it's not even the same time of day each time, but when it hits, yowza, it is really hard to deal with.
Have you heard anything from nrd06? I know she has her baby, but I haven't seen her on here yet. I've been lucky - my MIL is here (has been for 10 days) and that gives me time to chat. But she leaves today! I hope I can still manage to find time to chat with everyone. I need a daily dose of Mommas!

Hey - Luke was 9 pounds 3 ounces at birth, 8 pds 11 ounces when we left the hospital, then like 8 pounds 6.5 ounces 2 days later then at two weeks back up to 9 pounds and a half ounce - so not quite his birth weight at two weeks. After that he started gaining fast and was 11 pounds 9.5 ounces at 5 weeks. you sound relatively similar in pattern tio that!

Malone was 7lb9oz, dropped to 7 lb by day 3, was back up to birth weight by day 5, then weighed 8 whopping pounds by day 9. She'll get weighed again tomorrow. She eats a ton - more like 3 or 4 oz every two hours. She's wearing size 1-2 diapers now and next week I'm starting to use cloth.
I lov that she's healthy but I'm so sad that I've already had to start a bag of clothes that she has grown out of. Boo hoo, she's growing up.

Hi Kim,
How's everything going? Leah is great-of course she sleeps a lot, only wakes up twice during the night to nurse. We worried so much and our babies are perfect. If we have other babies we probably wont worry as much because we will know what to expect. Although each pregnancy is different. Are you getting enough rest? I'm used to not having too much sleep because my last month or two of pregnancy I had a lot of trouble sleeping. It's weird how food tastes different now and the belching and heartburn are gone. I love having Leah here, but I loved being pregnant. Hmmmmm.....................................

I know what you mean.. I love life too, every second of it now that she's here. We are fine, but last night was pretty bad though. She had an upset stomach and threw up. :( I'm not exactly sure what was wrong with her.. but she's been ok ever since. How have you and Kayla been doing??

Hey you! I am not feeling blue thankfully. I get upset when she cries a lot when she has gas because I know I can't help her. But other than that they are happy tears when I see her adorable face! How about yourself??

Hi Kim! We are doing great! Leah is also perfect and she is very content and we are enjoying her so much. She had her first Dr.'s appt. on Tues. and she gained back 5 oz. I was afraid that I wasn't making enough milk for her, so I supplemented her with formula after breastfeeding. Now we just give her formula like 2 times a day when she gets a cranky period. I love being a mother. I know that you do ,too!!! Lets keep in touch. I do not find that I have too much time for the computer, but I will try to check it at least every other day!!! Lots of love to you guys..........

Hey there mama, how are you doing? It sounds like you are completely in love with your little one. :D I understand. :D
My little girl sleeps a lot too. She has one spurt a day where she is awake for about an hour and a half but that's it. It wipes her out and she sleeps pretty well after that. If she does wake up it's in spurts after that. Usually not longer than 20 min. to a half an hour. I think it's normal though. She just likes her sleep! She isn't fussy by any means.. so I'm not complaining. lol. Ok. well take care of yourself and your sweetie. :D

Your little girl is PRECIOUS!! I also wanted to tell you I saw briefly your birth story on 1hotmooma's page, and it is EXACTLY like mine. I never got past 2 cm dilated, baby would NOT engage, ended in a C section. Anyway, how are things going? Sleeping much??

Kim, Kayla is so beautiful and it is so neat to see a picture of you holding her in your arms! Just like you wanted for so long. I'm glad they got her out safely and that it all ended well. There are some good things about c-sections. You won't have to pee and poop standing up! Hope your recovery is going well and talk to you soon about being a mom!

Well, I told you that I would let you know how my apt. went. My dr. was a total jerk. I was due over a week ago and he will not induce until Tuesday night. At that point I will be 14 days past my due date. I just can't take this anymore, and I did not feel like he was taking me seriously at all. He wasn't even going to schedule my induction until next week, but my husband insisted that we get a date today. I just can not believe that I am still pregnant. :-( How is your little one? Hope you are doing well. Maybe some day I will be able to write to you and tell you I had a baby.
