My name is Terra and I'm 21 years old. This is my first pregnancy and I'm thrilled about it! My boyfriend, Wes, is really excited as well. He wants a little boy and I'm hoping for a little girl, either way I'm going to love it as much as I do now!! I thought I couldn't get pregnant, lol! I had a lot of complications with cysts on my ovaries when I was younger. It seemed like every other month I was either in pain from a cyst forming or from a cyst bursting!! I hated it! I actually had to have surgery when I was in 10th grade to see if I had Endometriosis. This would not have been a good thing to have if I was wanting to have kids because you can't conceive if you have this disease. The doctor did the laproscopy surgery finding nothing but a few little cysts on my fallopian tubes. Even though the doctor said I could have children oneday, I just didn't believe him for some reason. Well, five years later here I am pregnant with my first child!!!

I went to my family doctor on October 12, 2007 because I had been so violently ill, throwing up anything I got down, to see if I was dying or something, lol! I had no idea I could be pregnant. Wes and I was waiting on the doctor to come in so I could tell him all my symptoms I'd been having. The doc finally came in and I began to tell him my symptoms: horrible nausea, vomitting all the time, dizziness, being angry or sad for no reason...He looked at me and said, "So, we need to do a pregnancy test?" and I said, " I dunno, maybe, but I don't think that's what it is." Well, he ordered a pregnancy test and I took it. Wes and I were waiting on him to come back in. The door opened and the doc said, "Well, you're pregnant." I was shocked and I said, "Are you sure?" and he said I was most definately pregnant. I bursted into tears because I didn't quite know how to feel yet..This wasn't planned, I'm still a student in college, neither one of us have jobs!! What in the world now!?!?! Wes stood up and came and wrapped his arms around me smiling and telling me we were both in this together. So, we made an appointment to the OB-GYN and on October 16, 2007 I had my first ultrasound and seen my little "bean" baby!! It was so tiny!! I was only 7 weeks and 2 days by what the ultrasound looked like. When the doc felt inside of me, he said I could possibly be 10 weeks!! For now, they are going by the what the ultrasound looked like. My mama went with Wes and I! It was amazing seeing the little thump thump of the heart on the screen!! I never knew somebody could love someone so much and have never once met them!!

I went to the OB-GYN on November 13, 2007. I was 11 weeks and 2 days on this date. They didn't do an ultrasound today. They did use a doppler to hear the fetus' heartbeat!! Before he done it, he said not to get discouraged if we couldn't find the heartbeat because it could be too early to hear it...well, as soon as he put the doppler on my stomach, thump thump, thump thump, thump thump...a fast healthy heartbeat! It was amazing!!

My next appointment is December 11, 2007 and even though I will only be about 15 weeks, I'm hoping I will be able know the sex of the baby!

December 11, 2007--I had an appointment today at the OB-GYN! I am exactly 15 weeks and 2 days pregnant today!! My boyfriend came with me like always, l love him so much!!! So, they didn't do an ultrasound today either. I did get to hear the heartbeat again with the doppler! It's little heart was beating so fast; I smile every time I hear it! Wes recorded it again because the last heartbeat got erased from his phone when he had to get a new one! I asked the doc what the BPM was and he said about 160! (I actually listened to the recording when I got home and calculated it to be between 166-180 BPM, lol) Anyways, the doc visit didn't last long. We talked about all my problems I have been having. They were all common he said, so no need to worry. They scheduled an U/S for January 8, 2008 and we will know then what the sex of the baby is!!! I am way too excited; I just can't wait!!!
