Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Sx

Havent seen you on in a while. You must have had your baby! Hope to hear from you soon!

I had it so bad and nothing would really help until the DR prescried me atarax. It made me very sleepy but once I took it as prescribed the first few days I was able to only take once every few days. The steroids gave me some relief after a few days but the cream for me did nothing. It will get better just keep hounding your DR to do something. You may want to try Eucerin itch relief lotion...granted it doesn't make it go away but for me it helped me stop itching for a bit or it made it a less severe itching. I'm so sorry you got it but hang in there it will get better

Thanks, and I can empathize with you too! I tried to get into my OB today, but the receptionist said that the Dr deals with the baby, not the hives. Arghhhh. How far along are you? It seems really odd to think mine could be PUPPPs since I am only 6 weeks now. They usually occur much later. Now I have myself convinced that it is hypothyroidism. I am freaking myself out reading the Internet! I hope you get some relief! Have thought of trying the dandelion root pills that I have seen recommended online?

I got that horrible rash too. I couldn't really use to many things, I'm allergic to most medications. the cocoa butter spray is the only thing that i have used and it helps wonders for me. when the itching gets too bad I use ice packs. that seems to work great too. Good luck

babymullin- I had a horrible rash red bumps everywhere and was growing up my belly and down to my legs unbearable. I tried every thing belly butter, itch cream Hydro-Cortizon. Went to my Dr. and she said I should have called her sooner- and gave me a prescription for "Diflorasone Diacetate Cream USP 0.05%" I only had to put it on 3 times and in went away. Amazing stuff good luck!

The same thing happened to me at my d/a this week. Not dilated (not sure if I'm effaced) but the doc said my cervix is soft. Poo! I was so mad at my cervix when I left the appointment! I will probably be one of those bitter women still blogging on the week 42 page!

I have gained 23 pounds so far! I feel huge! I cannot believe we have 8 more weeks of growing too! I think my dr is going to induce me at 38 weeks though. We find out on Monday what the plan is. Good luck to you!!!

I had wondered that too about the babies weight for a while.. people were always talkin' about it! Then I had my last U/S and that was how they were able to determine it for me.. They told me my baby girl was 4 lbs.. give or take a pound, real accurate! LoL. So whatever.. hopefully she's not too huge coming out though! Otherwise my doc just measures me and says "She's right where she's supposed to be" whatever that means.. ha ha!

Yeah, I wonder the same thing about the weight of the babies! I NEVER get told any weight measurements. I don't even get told how big my belly is. The only thing they tell me is my blood pressure and how fast my baby's heart rate is after measuring it. That's it! I want to know!! I don't get any other u/s's either unless there are complications. BUMMER!!

mommy2be707 - Friday, 18 July
they didnt tell me i needed to take a 3hr so idk....
but they have made things better [no more bloody noses]
and im sure the baby is feelin better too :]

softerxsin - Friday, 18 July
well the three hour test was horrible, you have to fast and when you walk in the door you have to get your blood drawn and then you drink the glucose drink within 5 minutes and every hour for three hours you get your blood drawn. the thing that sucks the most is that the drink makes me feel sick to begin with and then having to not eat anything and starve myself was the worst. and after that whenever i ate i couldnt keep anything down. but after all of it i found out today that i passed my test, so im thinking you will too, good luck!!

Thank you so much for your post. It can be hard, but I promise to be different with my son. I know i'll make mistakes, but at least when my son has a baby, I can be in his life still. I will def. be fine, and I again thank you for all your comments. This forum is liek my dairy, b/c I don't talk to anybody about this stuff and I think it is so wonderful to have such sweet and smart women on this site to talk to when we need. HOpe you have a continueos happy pregnancy and even better motherhood!!!

isabell21 - Wednesday, 16 July
Yeah I had to eat a high carb diet and it was actually hard to do.

I had to take the 3 hour test and it came back normal. I suggest you bring a good book or somthing that will keep your attention because espcially toward the end time lingers. Good Luck

angelmum - Sunday, 6 July
I only get so many as keira was measuring a bit on the small side at my 20 week scan. Back home in south Africa we normally get one scan a month, so finding out I was only going to get two the whole pregnancy was a bit of a shock. But luckily I get a few more. X

angelmum - Friday, 4 July
Yes i had an U/S and i go for another one at 34 weeks, roll on week 34. I love seen my lil girl. They just want to compare her measurments. X
