Monday, 5 May Hey how is your baby sleeping and what activities is you and baby doing? Have you started tummy time? Trinabear18 -
Monday, 5 May I pump when the milk lets down. I usually pump about 5 times a day! Lay your baby skin to skin on your chest, this will help with milk let down and production. Peach -
Sunday, 4 May My baby will be four weeks old on Monday, and I often pump around 5 ounces. Hope that helps! Trinabear18 -
Sunday, 4 May hey I only punp. he does not like to latch on properly. I get about 3 1/2 to 4 ounces each breast each time pumped. Milk is really coming in now. Make sure you are massaging your breast. manda21 -
Saturday, 3 May I just started pumping last week but i am still feeding on the breast the majority of the time. Now I am getting about 3 ounces in ten minutes off one breast. Then I do the other for another ten. Last week I was pumping for like 20 minutes and only gettign two ounces...the more you pump, the more will come! Jo-Mama -
Saturday, 3 May I pump my left breast and my daughter eats from the right one. The left nipple is inverted and she won't have anything to do with it.
Every day I get a different amount pumped. It depends on how often I do it. If I pump twice a day (only one breast) I'll get about 6 oz. It's usually about 3 oz per pump (it takes about 10 minutes). Some days I get 4 or 5 oz first thing in the morning, other days I can't get more than 2. It seems better if I drink a lot of water and stay relaxed.
I was pumping 4 times a day, but now that my husband is back to work I just can't get that much time. So I pump when I wake up, when my husband gets home, and if I remember, before I go to bed. I have had to pump in the middle of the night on those days when I didn't pump enough during the day and I get all engorged. NOTE: Older messages are compressed to speed up the website.
