Hi, I'm Sharon & I am carrying a miracle for the 2nd time. I have had 6 open heart surgeries, bad ovaries & osteoperoris @ the age of 26. I already have a 7 yr old son that was a miracle and had given up on having any more children; however, 6 weeks after becoming pregnant I did the home pregnancy test and there were two lines. At first I was scarred very bad because my last heart surgery was only 2 months before I conceived and I was afraid for my health. Now I am not worried at all after going through many tests everything is perfect and my heart is stronger than it has ever been. I am having a boy. So if you are trying to get pregnant and have high risk factors keep your hopes high and your ambitions big. I am almost 30 weeks and will be having my next level 3 ultrasound on the 21st, I can not wait. Things are a little scary right now with me being single and all but I have strong faith and know that the Lord is there to protect me.

November 21st almost 32 weeks

Went to the Maternal Fetal Specialist today and had an unltrasound, the baby is huge! 5pds 2 ozs and I have about 27cm's of fluid, that is a lot to. They told me today that I would probably have to have a ceserian because the baby is so big.

November 29th *my b-day* & 33 wks

Saw my ob today and got the news, I am going to have to have a c-section. They scheduled it for Jan. 7th unless I go into labor early. She said that I must just have big babies because my other son was big and they have my gb test twice and both times are normal. Well I will go every week now from now on.

December 4th

I found out today that my 2nd baby shower is going to be sunday, i am so excited and getting so happy about my little miracle getting ready to come. I went shopping today @ babies'r'us, I love this place they have everything you could ever need for a baby and I got some more nursery decor. I will be getting my crib on Sunday and hopefully my car seat and stroller.

December 6th & 34 wks

Today is a sad but exciting day for me, my best friend's maw maw passed away last night and I was up all night upset because she was like a grandmother to me as well. She lived a good life though and will truely be missed, she was 95 yrs old. It is just hard with it being right here at the holidays. The exciting news is that I went to the ob today and because of my high risk problems she moved my c-section up to Dec. 28th which is only three weeks away but they are go to have to do a tap test the day before to make sure that the babies lungs are developed. So unless He decides to come sooner I will be having my little bundle of joy three weeks from now.

December 13th & 35 wks

Today I got to see the maternal/fetal doc. and my ob so I have been very busy. They are saying that the baby weighs 7 pds. 4 ozs now! He is healthy but there is some borderline ventriculomeg that they are going to monitor, that is when one of the ventrams in the brain is a little large and the head is big. I am not worried though. So I go back to the marternal/fetal doc in 2 wks on the 27th for my mattap; which is the test that they do with your fluid to make sure that the lungs are developed and if so then I am going to have my c-section on the 28th, two Fridays from tomorrow unless He decides to come any earlier; which they said would not be a suprise with Him being so big. Will post ultrasound pic later.

December 20th & 36 wks

Went to ob today and everything is perfect test wise, etc.. (I wish I felt that way because I have been feeling aweful lately). Next Thursday I go to the maternal fetal doc for the mattap; which is a test to see if the lungs are mature and then I go to my ob that afternoon to get the results and confirm my c-section for the next day...oh I can not wait!

December 28th & 37 wks

I went to the marternal/fetal doctor yesterday and had the mattap test done, they take a needle and stick it into your uterus, draw some fluid and test it to see if the babies lungs are mature. I got the results yesterday afternoon and His lungs are not mature yet. The test result was a 42 and needed to be a 55 for the lungs to be considered developed. So I did not get to have the c-section today, I am sad but grateful that I had the test and did not just have Him and then He have to be put on oxygen. So the ob said another 1 1/2 - 2 weeks to give His lungs time to mature. In the mean time He is about 8.5 pds and I am miserable, He has dropped some and my lower back hurts constantly now. I am so ready for my baby boy to get here and keeping my hopes up.

January 3rd & 38 wks

I went to the OB this morning and we have scheduled the c-section for next Wednesday, Jan. 9th, 2008 so only 6 days until I get to see my little angel and hold Him. I am so excited
