Hello again to all the mommies out there! I have decided to start a new page now that Jacob's here. This time for him & Taylor! I'm so happy to have him here! Now I really feel that my family is complete... (at less for the next 3-4 years... lol!) Anyway, I look forward to talking with my old friends on here & making some new ones on the way. Happy Easter!
Today has went by so fast for me... Donnie has to go back to work tomorrow (as I'm sure alot of you do) & I'm going to miss him so much! This weekend was his brothers birthday so we went out with him & his wife lastnight. It was so nice to have a brake & get out but I have to admit for the first 2 hours all I did was think of Jacob & Taylor & I wished I would have stayed home. I was actually mad at Donnie for talking me into going. But then I started to think of other things & have fun.
Thursday, March 12th
Today has been a very l-o-n-g day... Jacob was up all night last night so fussy. He has acid reflex & has to take medicine. He just wouldn't let me lay him down. He cryed so hard, I cryed too. Finally he calmed down around 8 o'clock this morning. But now he's slept all day. We have to wake him to eat. He eats 1 oz. willingly then we have to make him eat the second oz. & that's all he'll take...
I'm so upset, and worried about him. All he does is sleep: & cry when he's awake.
Then to top it off; I go to get Taylor up this morning 4 school, & she can't open her eyes... They were mattied shut with gunk. I didn't send her to school 4 fear that it was 'pink-eye'. I tryed all day to get ahold of her doctor without any luck. But now I think it's just a cold. Cause it's not pink & she's not bothering it.
The only thing good that has come from today, is that while I was holding & cuddleing him he laughed in his sleep!!! I mean a REAL giggle! It was so cute & precious! It made everything I was feeling fade away 4 awhile & gave me hope...
I still have soooo many updates to do on my Jacob!!! I will try to get them done tonight. Be patient & check back with me later!

Similac is the best formula to use if you're not breastfeeding. This is what my boyfriend and I used for our daughter because she could not keep good start down!

I am breastfeeding but with my first I bottle feed and for me I found Liquid formula easy and fast but the powder is just as good it really all depends on you. I just liked the fact I did not have to scoop out powder and make sure it was leveled just right. I know I am lazy..lol

I personally heard that powder is better because you dont have to rush to use it. Liquid goes bad just like milk quick. And it is a lot more convienent. I will definetly use the powder.

I think powdered is more economical, but liquid is good if you need to travel or something...I have used both similac and enfamil, and liked enfamil better, less bubbles....don't forget to sign up for all the coupons for formula too...also, I understand like Sam's club formula is a good price too...and it has to have the same stuff as the other ones. i read your question about powder or liquid formulas.
even tho i breastfed my daughter for the first 8 months, and plan to nurse this one for several months as well, you still end up using formula, either as supplemental feedings, or full time when you stop nursing.
anyways, sorry to babble, they are both nutritionally equivalent. they all have the same vitamens and ingredients. so it's just a matter of preference.
the liquid is great because you don't have to measure or mix, but, once you open that can you have to use it up pretty quickly.
the powder is great because you can take bottles of nursery water in your diaper bag, and just add the powder whenever you are ready to feed the baby, you don't have to make ahead, and you waste a lot less.
it all depends on what is most convenient for you and your baby.

Well went to the docs yesterday, all he could tell by looking at other pics of baby u/s in books he said that he is not sure what it is that we just need to keep an eye on it and to wait till the baby is born to see what it really is, he said it may be something new that he has never seen before but not to worry if you get that...To tell u the truth he made me think about it more now I dont know what to expect the outcome of all of this...but yet I want to make myself feel like it is nothing dont worry yourself...but it is so hard...whe I was at the docs yesterday there was a girl that went in to the clinic I mean really crying when she was talking to the nurse about what had happened I felt like and I am over here worrying about something that could be nothing and here is a girl that just had her first u/s and came out the the baby `s head was deformed...she said that is looked like a mushroom...I seen her sitting there crying and I felt bad for her but yet I didn;t know what to tell her...so I just sat there...I feel so guilty not saying anything and feeling so bad for myself when there are others going through harder times than I am.....

hey :) to your comment about hands and fingers cramping, i have the exact same thing. my doctor told me its pregnancy induced carpal tunnel from the joints in our wrists and hands swelling. the only thing i've found that helps alittle is to wrap your hands at night, it doesn't stop it completely but relives some of the pressure. hope it helps :)

anytime!! n yes i am in need of my shower very bad.. this is my third but was not planned and my youngest will be six in may and i had two boys this one a girl so its like starting all over again..as for the shower going smoother i dunno about that... only a couple people have rsvpd and your comment jumped out at me last night becuz i had just got home from my moms and talking about the food for the shower!! best part about it i think!!!yum yum!!! good luck

thanks, likewise about the family!! That truly sucks about the shower situation. I started the ball rolling before christmas, let's just say my husbands aunts didn't want to start until after xmas, and i told them the invites needed to be sent out no later than 2-3 weeks before the shower, and I've still had like 6or8 people that can't come, but I'm counting on atleast 10-12 not being able to make it, so we'll still have like 25-30 people come, including family. Too bad you don't live around here-- I'd come to your shower ;-)

yay for jacob!!! and jake for short?? i love it april! fantastic choice! well i have been doing okay - wow its schorching hot here so not helping me with my swollen hands and feet...uuuggghhhh!!!! how u doing? how u feeling? i am okay besides the added stress of high bp. i had a ob gyn appt on monday and he weighs 2.9kg already - thats 6.38 pounds! hectic huh! i guess its good he is big consideing i might have to have him early with my high bp. we are controlling it asmuch as we can with meds but if it gets high i guess its all over and he comes out! scary!!!! what u been upto? is taylor excited now??? xxx

The thing with your hands sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome which I believe is quite common in pregnancy. Ask your doc about it

don't feel bad about the shower thing, mine is the 19th of this month, and everytime I turn around someone else is saying they can't make it, they have plans made, etc. and I gave everyone a heads up before xmas!!! I'm to the point now that i don't even care who shows up!!

hi, my baby shower is the same day!! ry to relax about it tho, I know it doesnt sound to good with everything going on but your sister who is sick will probably feel much better by then!! I had surgery to have my gall bladder removed 3 weeks after i had my first son and i was fine within like 3 days, she just wont be able to lift anything heavy but i am sure will feel up to your shower!!! sorry to hear about your nephew i dont know anything about things like that tho... but good luck let me know how it goes!!

Don't feel bad I know how you feel I do not get a baby shower because i am not allowed to travel because I have placenta previa and all of my family and friends live three hours away! So I know how you feel I feel like every one forgot about me to!

Yeah even though I have researched just about everything...I am scared. I mean the baby has to come out right?! LOL. Since this is my first and have no idea how I will handle it at all...so it makes ya nervous. Though I try not to think about it too much because they say if you don't go in there anxious then you probably will have an easier time...(slightly) who knows. If I can make it to 37 weeks ....it will be good. Not sure if the baby was born now how that would go but I have an appointment tomorrow and can ask those questions. Hope you are taking it easy!
