So I'm up late one nite, being my typical paranoid, pregnant self...searching the web and googling every little change going on with my body, and i stumble across this site. What a cool idea! If only I would have thought of it first; a myspace for pregnant women! A place to go chat with other women who are just as pregnant and as paranoid as i am! :)

Well N E ways, my name is Chelly and i'm 24 weeks Prego. I'm due July 12th and the doc says we may be having our little girl a little early due to the fact that i have a short cervix (this makes me a little nervous). However, i've been taking progesterone injections for several weeks now, and so far so good!

We are a blended family with a combine total of five children between the two of us. Four girls and one boy, all of whom are teenagers, with the exception of our ten year old. So are we karazy or what? Wait, don't answer that question! I have to admit, finding out i was pregnant was shell shocking news at first, but we are all getting use to the idea now. I've been shopping like crazy and i can't go a day without someone in the house rubbing my belly. Who knew having a baby at 36 could be so exciting! We are all overjoyed and looking forward to meeting Lil Miss Bailey Rae soon!

Updates...

So i have a short cervix and the docs put me on progesterone injections. Which so far have been helping. However, yesterday...though he saw no change in my cervix size the doc told me that he didn't see me going any further than 32 weeks! This makes me EXTREMELY nervous and scared becuz i am 24 weeks now, and as much as i look forward to meeting my Miss Bailey...I don't want her to come too soon! Most importantly, i want her to be healthy. Can anyone shed some light on the situation? Please share ur experiences with progesterone. Did it help? How far did u get in ur pregancy, and was ur baby ok?

So i just got home this morning around 10:00. I went to the doctor's office for a routine visit on Monday and ended up having to stay for two days. Apparently, my cervix got shorter and the opening to my uterus got wider. So the doc put me on a two day observation to make sure i wasn't going into labor (which thankfully i'm wasn't) and i also had to get two steroid shots in my boo-tae to help develop the baby's lungs. But other than that...we're ok, and everything is fine.

Bailey is still up and dancing, ready to audition for the next season of America's Best Dance Crew! lol Boi- is this baby a mover and a shaker...just like her moma!! Doc says...he thinks she'll make it pass 31 weeks, which is good!! She is now 2 lbs at 6 1/2 months preggo...and gorgeous!! As soon as i learn how to post these u/s pics on my page, i'll show u guyz. Well that's my update for today. I hope everyone is doing well. Talk to u later...

Hey everyone! It's been so long since i last logged in. They say along with pregnancy comes forgetfulness. I guess it's true because i forget everything! This time i forgot my password for three weeks...it just came to me today, outta nowhere. wheeeew! Just when i was about to create a new page.

Well let's see what's new? For starters I'm excited that i made it to my 33rd week, eighth month of pregnancy. Yeah!!! After months of progesterone and bedrest...things are finally looking up. Also, I had my babyshower two weeks ago in my backyard, and it was a blast. I still need to send out my thank you cards. Ewww....i'm having a contraction as i type this entry. For the shower my friend made me this really cool cake out baby diapers...that was a first for me. You can check it out in my pics. Also, I scheduled my date for my c-section. If Bailey doesn't come early she'll be here July 7, 2008...and I can't wait to meet my little princess! This week I have to go in to get an u/s to see how big the she is...in which i'm really looking forward to, because this gurl is kickin the bleep out of me like she's 10 lbs already. Boi i really missed chatting with you gals, i'm gonna have to write my password down just in case i forget again.

What else...I'm not sure if it's just me...but i am truely tired of being preggers. Even though I'm in the home stretch...i just want to be home. I've been experiencing a lot of heartburn, back ache, and pain under my right rib cage. Plus i'm craving ice, which means i drink more water, which means i going to the bathroom more. so at this point I'm ready to deliver. Other than that things have been great. I hope everyone else is doing well. Until next time...
