Hi and thanks for visiting. I got married last July and was pregnant by August! Not planned but definitely welcomed, we couldn't be happier. We actually got pregnant while we were on our honeymoon AND I was on the pill! I had a miscarriage at only about a week or so pregnant so I wasn't even aware. We were so shocked because I have been on the pill for 10 years or so and never thought you could get pregnant. Anyway, I stopped taking the pill and two weeks later we were pregnant again. I guess this little guy (having a boy) just couldn't wait to join our family. At this rate we may just end up with a very large family ;)

I am now 30 weeks pregnant and feel great. I have been one of the lucky ones with very little symptoms. Just some fatigue and stuffiness. And of course a wonderful appetite.

We have had a couple scares so it's been a little bit stressful. They found CPC's and a two vessel cord at my 19 week scan. We have had a couple more ultrasounds and an echocardiagram to check the baby's heart. Everything looks normal so I am determined to stop worrying and enjoy the rest of my pregnancy. And have some faith I guess.

PICTURE OF MY LITTLE ANGEL AT 22 WEEKS. I LIKE TO THINK HE LOOKS LIKE ME :)

Things are great with our little boy. It is a night and day difference between a newborn to a year old. They are even MORE fun and love to play! I know the impatient feeling but, let me tell you my dear enjoy the peace and quiet and SLEEP! SLEEP! SLEEP! I wish you the best of luck with L&D I know you'll do great. Take care, Jen

Hey, I'm glad to hear everything is going good for you and baby! I just had an ultrasound done yesterday and she is already weighing in at 4 lbs! I'll be 32 weeks tomorrow, and I guess that's pretty average so I'm thrilled about that. They said everything looks good enough that they'll probably just start treating it as a normal pregnancy from now and maybe they'll do another ultrasound in 4 weeks but as of right now they don't see any reason too. She's a very active baby so as long as she stays that way I think my days of multiple appointments are done!

i was supposed to go in for my ultrasound on may 9th but was measuring small for dates so they sent me for u/s yesterday and my levels are down to 3 so he is doing my csection on friday so i only have 3 more days i am just worried and hope that everything is going to be okay and my baby will be healthy

Hey! Yea I've had those really strong cramps the past couple weeks. They have kept me up at night and they're awful. Not sure what they are? But just think, sometime in the next couple weeks we'll be cramping like crazy! Yay... ;) But at least we'll have our babies in our arms. Hope you're doing great!

Hello:

I go back on Monday for another U/S to see how he is growing. As of the last visit he was doing fine and measuring on time. I can't believe how fast time is flying. 3 Weeks to go I hope we're ready for this. We waited nearly 5 years and after 3 IVF's to meet our little man so it is soo surreal right now. Hope all is well with you and good luck if you go before we chat again.

Our little boy is doing great now. He had other medical issues when he was born but, we have since moved past that and he is wonderful now. Congratulations it is the greatest experiance being a mom. Jen

My baby seems to have the hiccups all the time. Every morning before I get out of bed. After breakfast, after dinner, every night in the bath. Poor kid! I hope they don't hurt. They seem to last like 4 or 5 minutes too. He's probably exercising his lungs for future crying. Ha Ha.

Heres the wikipedia page on morrow reflex: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moro_reflex

OurBabyBean0508 - Thursday, 27 Mar
Found a website that seems to describe the shaking movements as 'startle reflex' kind of like what a newborn does when it's afraid it's going to fall. Here's the link: http://www.mothering.com/discussions/archive/index.php/t-634371.html

OurBabyBean0508 - Thursday, 27 Mar
Our little girl has had a few 'freak outs' in there. A couple that were so violent I thought she might be having a seizure! But they usually only last for 10 seconds or so, so I'm hoping that she's just frustrated or something!

LeaLea2 - Tuesday, 11 Mar
No we decided to keep the sex of the baby a surprise.. but as the days go by i am wishing that we had found out.. as it will make things a lot easier when buying stuff. My stomach is really big now compared to those pics on my site.. i keep meaning to update but never seem to have the time :-)When are you planning to start your maternity leave and how long will take off? x

corie.z - Monday, 10 Mar
Wow I was trying so hard to find someone else with a 2 vessel cord that I didn't even relize you were in the same city as well, crazy. I'm seeing my obstetrician this Thursday so I'll be finding out all the details of what will be going on. So far for growth she is measuring perfect for her dates! I'm getting less worried with the more people I talk to as I have only heard positive things but I don't think the paranoia will fully go away until she's born. The extra ultrasounds are always nice too as it eases my mind everytime I get to see her, the only downside is they keep sending me far south for them when I'm in the NW...ugh!

Hi Barbi:

Thats great news! My stomach is getting bigger and bigger each day so I'm not to worried anymore either. I still have to go back for another u/s March 31 but I'm sure they just want some money :) He is really kicking and Im wondering how much he weighs now if he was already 2lbs 4oz 2/18. I'll keep you updated.

LeaLea2 - Monday, 10 Mar
congrats on your little boy! Thanks for leaving a message about the oil down there. Do you know when it is safe to start applying? Are you getting excited now about meeting your little one! Going by old wives tales.. is it obvious that you are expecting a boy! How does your bump look. Low? out the front? big/small?
I dont know what im expecting but most people say boy!! How are you feeling in these last 9 weeks??

corie.z - Saturday, 8 Mar
Hey, I've been doing some searching on this site for people who have babies with a 2 vessel cord like mine. I had an ultrasound with no other markers and an echocardiogram that came out good. (thank god!!) I'm trying to pick as many brains as possible about the 2 vessel cord, what have you been told? Will you been doing 3rd trimester monitoring or non-stress tests?

babyagain - Friday, 29 Feb
I have gotten SO MANY responses too, and all VERY helpful. I decided to join my husbands side, and we are going to get him circumsized while in the hospital. The biggest factor really were when people (in private messages) told me that THEIR older sons, said they are GLAD they are done. A lot has been lifted off my shoulders although I am not looking forward to the big 'C-day' and them hurting my little baby I will believe everyone in they only cry for a minute or two. What was your final decision if you don't mind me asking??

nikosmommy - Thursday, 28 Feb
So why all the worry/stress? Have you had any complications?...or is it general anxiety about the changes that having a baby will bring?! I'm delivering at Foothills too. I had a great experience there with my first son (as far as the hospital was concerned) the delivery itself was not so great (back labour and I said no to the epidural...which was probably a totally crazy thing to do!)

Are you showing much yet? I most definately am, I guess it's because the body 'remembers' and pops a little sooner than the first time around.
