Aubrey Taylor Decker

February 14th, 2008

This is my first pregnancy and I am so excited. We have wanted this for a while now. My husband Mike is excited as well, but a little bit nervous as he should be. We have been together for almost 7 years and married for almost a year. He is the best thing that has happen to me. We have a GREAT relationship and expecting is bringing us closer. Both families are very supportive as well as friends. I cant wait until our buddle of joy is here. It is going to be awsome!!!!

February 15, 2008

Well we just found out we are having a little girl. We are sooo excited and cant wait to start shopping for girlie things!

March 13, 2008

I had my drs appointment today and all of my abnormality tests came back negative. Its such a relief, but I knew it would! Her heartbeat sounds great. I can feel her move more and more everyday. This has been a very joyful experience for me and my husband. We just cant wait until our little Aubrey is here!!!! We are ready to spoil her rotten! hehe! Next appointment is on April 10th and I wil be getting my final ultrasound. Hopefully they can confirm "A GIRL" so I can start shopping!!!!!! Good Luck to all you Prego's out there!!!!! LOL :)

April 10th, 2008

I had my last and final ultrasound today. Everything looks great. Aubrey is about 1lb 5 ounces. She was kicking like crazy when the tech was moving the probe around. Dont think she liked that very much. Her heartbeat was also very good. I have gained a total of about 10-15 lbs so far. Everyone tells me I am pretty small to be almost 6 months, which kind of worries me, because I dont want her to be small. My husband says I should be lucky I am not HUGE. As long as the Dr. says Aubrey is normal weight, then we are happy!!! It was amazing because we were able to see alot of her features. It looks like she will look like her daddy!!! Cant complain. I will soon have to take the sugar test, which I am not looking forward to, but its all going to be worth it in the end. I cant wait until I can hold her in my arms!!!! I will be getting Aubrey's nursery together soon. Havent picked out bedding sets yet. Just looking around.

April 16th, 2008

I have been really emotional lately!!! It seems like I cant control my feelings anymore. HELP???

April 17th, 2008

So today has been a really good day. I felt Aubrey kicking all day long. I LOVE that feeling!!! My emotions are not out of wack today. I feel better than I have been. I got to have a long talk with Mike and he agree's that my attitude has changed and that I am more emotional but he supports me and will deal with whatever may come. Awww how sweet. I love him!!!!! He understands what I am going through, "so he says" lol!

April 17th, 2008

I have been having this ich on my belly, upper chest and boobs for about a week now and I decided to call my dr and see if its normal or something I need to worry about. She told me that it might be PUPPP. I never heard of such thing before now. I did lots of research and I seem to have all the symptoms except I am not in my 3rd trimester and I am having a girl. They say it usually occurs around 35 weeks and usually to woman that are having boys and this is there first pregnancy. My dr. told me to get some caladryl lotion and take some benedryl and if that doesnt help I have to go in to see her! I am hoping those 2 things will help what I have. Its very annoying!!! I cant sleep or concentrate on anything other than scratching!!!!! LOL! I am willing to go through anything to have my daughter healthy and safely. I love her so much. I never thought I could love someone I have never met before. Being pregnant is a great feeling. I am trying to enjoy every minute of it because I know when its all over, it will feel like it came and went at the blink of an eye! Although, I wish it would hurry so I can have my Aubrey in my arms!!!!! Good Luck to everyone.

April 23rd, 2008

I had a Dr. appoint this morning about my rash that I have developed. I thought it was going to be PUPPP, and sure enough it is. The thing that sucks is that there is nothing they can do about it. He just basically said it happens to some pregnant woman and it may last my whole pregnancy. I was told to just continue using cortisone and caladryl lotions. I figured those two were not working for me so I decided to try out Aveeno products. I got the Aveeno bath, bodywash and lotion. All for ichy, dry skin resulting in a rash. OMG this stuff really works. No wonder its soo expensive hehe! Its worth it! I have found my new product. For anyone that is going through this and cant seem to find anything helping, try the Aveeno products. It worked for me. Good Luck :)

May 2nd, 2008

Today I had an ultrasound so they could measure my cervix and all looks good. Aubrey weights 2 lbs 2 ounces. She is getting so big now. I cant wait until I can see her face to face. So far everything looks great. I am still waiting on my glucose and hemoglobin test results to come back. I was born with diabetes, so I think they are watching very closely. I am trying to stop alot of the sugar but its hard being prego and having cravings!!! Like right now, I want my ultimate craving..... icee or ice pops!! LOL!!! I pray that everything comes back normal. I am enjoying being pregnant so much now. Before it was frustrating because, I didnt really show and I just felt FAT. But now I have a belly and I am loving it. I love when I can just look down and see her kicks and punches!

How`s my pregnancy doing?

Hi,
I saw your post about the itching. I've been having something like a rash break out under and between my boobs, and also on my stomach. Almost pimply, but not quite, and quite itchy! I put lamisol on it (the stuff you use for athletes feet), and that worked like a charm! My mom said that everyone has bacteria on their skin, and being pregnant, your body can't fight like it normally does, thus the breakouts. Might be worth a try! Like I said, it worked for me.

stlmom - Monday, 21 April
hi! i saw your post in the PUPPP forum- I got it at about 34 weeks or so and was soooo uncomfortable. Hydrocortisone is what my dr. said to use, and if it gets really bad he said he would have given me a prescription. luckily i'm over it now and still a week away from my due date, so it could go away and i hope you don't have to deal with it for the rest of your pregnancy! also oatmeal lotion helped too!

YummyMummy87 - Thursday, 17 April

RubySue - Wednesday, 16 April
I know a friend of mine made her own belly band :) She just cut the top off a tight tank top and put it around her belly and folded the extra fabric over her pants. I have been using a hair tie with my jeans.
Good luck!

KIMIKIMIKIM - Wednesday, 16 April
THE BELLY BAND IS A SUPPORT BAND FOR YOUR HEAVY STOMACH...IT KINDA LOOKS LIKE ONE OF THOSE BLACK BACK BRACES JUST BIGGER FOR YOUR BELLY...I NEVER HEARD THAT IT WAS TO HELP YOU FIT INTO YOUR PRE PREGO CLOTHES I HEARD IT WAS TO HELP RELIEVE PRESSURE OFF OF YOUR BACK AND HELPS YOU FEEL MUCH BETTER!! I AM GOING TO START TO WEAR ONE SOON!!!

armywife531 - Wednesday, 16 April
YES!! I know exactly where you're coming from. I cry a lot too for no good reason and it really bugs me because I feel like a basketcase. I have a dr. appt on friday and I am going to get some advice from my dr. Also, my husband suggested to go for a walk, swimming, or any type of fitness, and that might help with relieving any stress. Good luck and I hope it gets better for you!

firsttimemomtobe - Wednesday, 16 April
I know how you feel, with being emotional all the time. It drives me nuts, because I'm not normally like this. It sort of helps me to joke about it. I've always found humor being a way of dealing with things. But if I joke about it with my co-workers, family, and friends. Then they know I'm bound to be emotional one day around them, and then they won't be caught off guard and they will understand why I'm crying uncontrollably or being pissy with people, lol. That just sort of helps me get through it, good luck to you!!

sandrawb - Monday, 14 April
I am working until I'm due, but my job isn't stressful right now. My problem with my job is that I haven't had anything to do since mid December. I'm bored all day, which makes the days seem extremely long. I've found that I'm more exhausted at the end of the day now that I have nothing to do, than before when I had too much to do! Inadvertently, my job is stressful because it's grant based...which means as soon as the grant expires, so does my job. I went in for a job interview April 4th and I should hear back sometime in mid May. I'm praying that I get the job offer from them. I need some job stability seriously! I'm very emotional and moody too!! Before I was pregnant people would say that I'm sensitive. Since I've been pregnant it has been MAGNIFIED. I'm trying to work on it, but it's very difficult...ugh, hormones! I hope you're having a good day today!

sandrawb - Monday, 14 April
I did end up getting a lot of things at the baby shower this weekend. I still had a bunch of people get me things that weren't on my registry, but that's okay. I've also had two baby showers (please forgive me if I've already told you this info...I can't remember much these days...lol) one was thrown as a surprise (kinda) by my co-workers and one was planned at my house for family and friends. My in-laws were stressing me out at my baby shower. My mother in law spent the majority of the time complaining about her husband to EVERYONE who would listen. My MIL and FIL have lots of money that they blow on lots of things. They drive gas guzzling cars that are brand new and just bought a house for my SIL. They bought me two gifts, which were NOT on my registry, a stuffed animal and a picture frame. My husband is a bit upset, as am I. Then my MIL proceeded to tell me after I finished opening all my gifts that she traded a case of beer to get a crib when she was pregnant with my husband. What in the world do you say to that?!?!? I'm not going to trade beer for a crib. I will be purchasing one like a normal person. Don't get me wrong, I had a good time. I got to see friends that I hadn't seen since college and spent time with other friends that I haven't seen in a while even though they're local. It was amazing to see that so many people care about me/the baby. I hope your baby showers are just as fun, and much less stressful than mine! :)

sandrawb - Saturday, 12 April
I'm feeling pretty good still. My lower back hurts and I by the end of the day I'm really tired. Other than those two minor complaints, all is fabulous. I'm having a little boy! :) His name is Chase Alexander. We just had our last ultrasound today and he looks so cute already! Well, I'm cleaning house for my baby shower tomorrow, so I should get back to it. Feel free to message me any time.

sandrawb - Friday, 11 April
I'm so with you on the itchy nipples/breasts. The first time I told my OB he blew it off as no big deal. At the next appt I told him that it was still itchy with lotion. Then he told me to use - specifically - vitamin E lotion. At the next visit I explained that the vitamin E lotion didn't help, so he told me to use hydrocortisone cream. That has made the itching go away completely. However, if I forget to put it on I'm right back to square one with itchy nips. There are places you just can't scratch in public! lol. In any case, I try to make a habit of putting the hydrocortisone cream on (mine has aloe and vitamin E in it too). I hope this helps, makes you laugh, or at least lets you know that you're not alone!! :)

I live in Kentucky! I love the hot weather but the humidity here is horrible in the summer.

apreece - Tuesday, 8 April
I am feeling good. It's starting to warm up where I live and I love warm weather but I can tell that I will be miserable when it gets really hot. I already feel like I am smothering at 70 degrees....lol.

kimw2 - Saturday, 5 April
I have not had backache with them, but I have developed SPD so I not sure if I would be able to tell the difference between the two! Good luck with your baby - when are you due? xxx
