We still can't believe it! We prayed for her and are so thrilled! She's a healthy 10 ozs. and 5 inches from head to hiney and her heartbeat was 144! Mommy has gained 18 pounds so far, blood pressure was 122/77-awesome! She was sucking her thumb and opening her little mouth! I am in love! Abbygail has no idea how much love and excitment is awaiting her arrival! Big brother Keith is at school, so he'll has a nice surprise when he gets home today! I'm going to walk to the end of the driveway and tie pink ribbons on the handlebars of his bike! We all thought "she" was a "he" for 2 months. On our sonogram at 11 weeks we all saw "alittle something", but the Technician said she would save her opinion until next time-today-SURE GLAD SHE DID! All of those "predictor" tests and tales about the heartbeat rates were wrong! They all said it was a boy!

Friday Nov. 9th~ Abbygail has been kicking quite a bit. Felt her squirming around (more like pops) about 3 weeks ago, but it wasn't every day. This week shes been moving more, well not really, it's just that shes getting bigger and stronger. Last night my hubby and I were laying in bed and I had my hands on my belly (which is all the time) and she started cheerleading. Tim felt her kick a couple times~He was soo excited and kept his hand on my belly for a long time just waiting for her to perform again. I'll be sending back the HB doppler I rented soon, cuz I'll be feeling her more often. I just wish this would be over soon, turn up the clocks. I'm feeling F-A-T!!(might be cuz I am!) Today my hands feel swollen, oh lordy, its too soon to start this. I didn't swell up with fluid until about the 7 month with my son~*SIGH* I'm also getting bored with food. I'm hungry, but nothing is striking my fancy-just blah blah. I kind of feel like I'm eating to survive some days-wonder if anyone else feels like that. I know I have to eat, and I'm hungry, but nothing looks good or tempting. I've gained 18 pounds as of Tuesday, so who knows how much I've gained now.....

WELL~I'm back from my doc appt. I'm 23 wks 4 days, BUT I am measuring (or should I say Abbygail is) almost 27 weeks - from pubic bone to top of uterus, should be 1 centimeter per week....well-Abbygail is a BIG baby so far. *lovely* Her heartbeat was 158, which is fine. I have NOT gained 25 pounds as I thought - I HAVE GAINED 30 - YES-no typo there ladies-30-T-H-I-R-T-Y POUNDS!I will soon out weigh my husband. My doc isn't concerned, as I gained 55 with my son and no problems with him, just that he came 5 1/2 wks early. He also said that's just more for me to lose. He recommeded I go get a flu shot, so I will. I asked his opinion on Listeria from deli meats-buy the pre-packaged Oscar Mayer stuff, NOT sliced at the counter. I asked about Aspartame-I read alot of controversy on that subject-he said not to worry-drink up that Crystal Light. I go back in 4 weeks, but right before I go back I get to have that yummy glucose test. YUCK! I do so remember that-I drank this orange very heavy sugary syrup and had blood drawn an hour later-I was gagging!!!. After that my appts go to every 2 WEEKS-NOW I KNOW I'M GETTING CLOSE!!!! Oh-It's all coming back to me now! I'm excited and I really can't wait to be NOT PREGNANT anymore! That just might be one of the first things I say.

Good to hear from you! I am doing good. I have been a little sad as my maternity leave is almost over and the idea of leaving him is much much harder than I thought but other than that me, Jamison and dad are doing great. Jamison usually sleeps 5 to 7 hours a night nurses and goes back to sleep for a few more.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - you can tell me all your problems and I'm totally happy to listen! Get it all out! I want to hear it all, even the bad stuff.
I can't believe all the trouble you've had postpartum - it's so unfair. It certainly doesn't make caring for a newborn any easier, I imagine. I'm not surprised that you are standing strong and pulling through. Little Abbygail probably gets the very best of you, and then there's not much left to give yourself. I hope the doctors sort it all out and get you on the proper meds. I send you good vibes al the time and I am thinking about you tons.
Malone is just awesome. She's 8 weeks (already?) and she's a good little girl. She's gotten over her gassy phase and now she's sleeping well and smiling lots. This morning we slept together in my bed and it was just so wonderful. I just want to eat her up.
I have to start taking Rebif (a drug for my MS) on Monday which means no more breastfeeding. I've been giving Malone a few bottles a day to get her used to them and to get my milk production to slow down. I'll use my frozen milk bank and then will switch to formula. I plan on using PC formula (I think it's only in Canada). So you use powder or liquid? I bought both to try them out. I think Drew is looking forward to feeding her.
I've been feeling OK - having a few MS moments. Sometimes my finers go numb and my vision gets blurry. But nothing major. I'm glad to be starting back on my drugs.
Well, I have laundry to fold (ooooh, exciting). Take care Laura!

I just noticed wehad the same due date and I had my little Mallory 3 days before you. She just started wanting to nurse ev ery hour all of the sudden this past week as well. Did you ask a doc why this was happening? Did they say that she wasn't getting enough? Congratulations, she is beautiful. Welcome back.

So I have discovered that music makes me cry. When I look at Malone and sing to her, I just can't help but bawl. Man, she's so awesome. Right now I am wearing her in a ring sling and trying to catch up with my mommy friends. She's been sleeping for quite a while, so I'm sure she'll be chomping at the boob in the next half hour.
I've been pumping and breastfeeding since day one. She only wants my right boob, so I have to pump the left o keep them even. But it's great because I have all this milk stored in the fridge now. This breastfeeding hasn't been easy - the first few days were so scary because she wouldn't feed and I thought she would die of hunger. But now it's working so well that I even breastfed in public last night! Well, I covered myself up and all, but she got to eat dinner without me leaving my spot at the table.
So far we've been to the mailbox, the drug store, a baby shop, a coffee shop, and a pub. I figure that she needs to get out and about to enjoy the world. My little city girl.

There is a end is sight. I will be induced on April 8th next Tuesday. I was going to be induced on the 2nd, but my body has decided to progress, but not all that much. He will be inucing me, and I have to admit that now I'm back to feeling nervous again. Could you let me know what they used on you for your induction?

I'm pretty sure that baby dropped last night and I have been feeling a stretching sensation all day in my pelvis. Looks like I won't be pregnant forever! I was starting to wonder if I'd ever feel anything.
Tomorrow I'm getting a hair cut then hanging out with my sister (my best friend ever and the person I most love to hang with - other than Drew of course). After that, ok, I'll try to have this baby.
Drew is the cutest thing ever. He talks to the baby and gives lots of belly rubs. He's excited but worried about seeing me in pain. But he'l be great, I have no doubt.
So, I may not get online tomorrow, but don't jump to conclusions. If you haven't heard from me by Sunday night, then you can start wondering. But I am pretty sure baby's going to hang in there for the weekend at least.

Well, went to the doctor today, and my blood pressure is a little higher, and I'm finally spilling the protein in my urine. So,I will be getting the Cervadil Sunday night, and pitocin on Monday!!!! Until then, it's bedrest for me.
