Hey, just alittle tid bit about me and my life... I'm a 23yr old Rutgers University student currently living with my boyfriend (the baby's father) and studying for a degree in Communication. I am extremely excited to welcome our little bean in Sept. and getting to be someone's mommy! I had a miscarriage in Sept 07 at 9wks and 2 days and it was extremely devasting. If anyone needs to talk about anything I lived through that pain and I am here to help. I can definately be an over analyzer so you'll more then likely see many questions posted from me! Cheers to everyone and lets let the fun begin!

pregnancy

Just a little memorial to my "X"

To the baby that I carried but never seen your eyes Or tell you how much I loved you Or ever to hear your cries. You will never be forgotten, the excitement we had for your coming. When I realized I'd never hold you, the feeling I had was numbing. My angel baby is who you are. My angel baby you'll always be. Your loving memory will live in my heart So you will always be here with me.

Myles Brett or Myles Brian?

gr8scottswife - Tuesday, 8 July
I have a list of boy names in my blogs if you want to check them out. Myles as a first name or last name? Do you want the name totally different or with Myles as being rare and a good common name to go with it?

Walmart and Target always have good deals. And a name you don't hear often - how about Cole or Dayton?

I had a friend who dated someone named Miles. Only person I've ever met with the name, but he was in college and it seemed just fine for a boy/youngman/oldman. Boys names that aren't common are definitely more difficult. There are som websites out there that can help. Look for baby name generators. They usually have some interesting categories to choose from. I was also looking for uncommon names for my girl, but would have had a difficult time for a boy.

hey! we registered at babies-r-us. probably a pretty predictable place, but they have cute stuff and if you look in the right parts, you can find the inexpensive stuff! also, on boy names.. we had a tough time (finally settled on Jackson) but some others we liked were Callum, Killian (pronounced kill-yen), Sawyer, Lennon... a whollle bunch. We really like the Irish/Celtic names. but i dont know.. just some ideas!

I saw someone else's comment that because highlighting doesn't even actually get the chemicals on your scalp that it is pretty safe. Don't breathe in the smell, though. But yeah, I'd probably hold off. As long as you have someone to help out when Baby is born, so you CAN have your hair done afterwards. I don't. Probably won't see a hairdresser for at least a year!

I say go for it! Whatever we can do to make ourselves feel better at this point needs to be done.

Hair dying or highlighting is not recommended during pregnancy, but is safer in the third trimester than earlier on. I wouldn't do it, but my friend had hers done, because she felt she needed to spoil herself a bit before Baby arrived, and wanted to feel pretty. Highlighting doesn't use as much nasty chemicals as a complete dye either, so is safer too.

Well have fun!! I CANNOT wait to get my hair done!! It will make you feel so much better!!
Hope things are going good for you!!

SHANNON917 - Tuesday, 24 June
Just read your message about dying hair...
I did with my first child and he came out just fine. Just as long as you're out of your first trimester you should be fine. The only thing to worry about is hormones and if the color takes. You'll want to be in a well ventilated area incase the smell of the coloring gets to you. Other than that you should be fine. I colored my hair lots of times with #1 (highlights and dying) and here I am with #2 getting ready to do it again. Good Luck!!

How are things going for you?
