My guy turns 8 weeks tomorrow and I'm hoping he will soon start having some longer stretches between feedings. He's down at 9:30p and wakes to eat at 12am, 4am, and 6am like clockwork. He wakes for the day usually anytime from his 6am feeding to 7:30am. What happened to the glorious days when he used to sleep until 8:30 or 9???

nmck - Thursday, 24 July
Well my baby used to wake up every 2 hours so this is better :) I think they will eventually go longer and longer between feeds. They are at least too young to change it now.

Your baby had shots today as well? Johnny has slept a lot, but when he isn't sleeping if he moves his leg he is crying. I feel terrible!!!!

I was using saline and cotton balls and it did go away but then came back a few days later, I read on the internet to use Breastmilk and it is working great, I express into a bottle and then squirt in her eye a few drops. I think until their tears develop it may reoccur anyway. so even though it goes it could come back. Its hard to get a good photo with a gunky eye You have 3 boys, what a handful, I always wanted 6 children but not anymore. I have to have a boy because my husband is the only son and cousin with our surname but all my nephews and friends boys are so naughty. Are you pulling your hair out yet or are they all well behaved?? It definitely helps if your husband is supportive...

hey my baby is 6 weeks and the gooey eye seems to have cleared up over the past week or so, i was bathing her eye in warm water regularly, just be really persistent with this and you should be fine xxx

My baby also has a blocked tear duct, I was using salt water (saline) and cotton balls but this was also not working so I read that breast milk is best, thats if your bfeeding. So far it's working great and just abour cleared up

Thanks for the reply re: bleeding! Guess I'll just have to wait it out! I have a dr. apt pretty soon so they can check me out. I just hope there was nothing left in there and they have to do a D&C or something painful

Hey girlfriend!! Now that is a beautiful baby. Your bairns (children) names are great.
Hope you are keeping sane hun.
Kane is also awake most of the time....he eats every hour still during the day..has a real grumpy hour from 9pm til 10pm..then time for bed...and last night he actually slept til 3am...i feel kinda human again.lol. He too loves to be held....but what do i do....thats all he knows every hour for 10mins....being held in my arms for dinner....ah well..
The health visitor says cos he is a big boy...feed still on demand...(he is now 14lb)...so every hour it must be....i feel like a dairy cow..lol.
Posting up new photos of him.

i also switched to the isomil and it is so great she isnt screaming all day and she even poops now lol i am so happy my first was on nuetigran(sp)that was exspensive but she had digestive problems as well as projectile spit up.i think that the dairy in the regular formula is to much for a babys belly.

penelopiepink - Sunday, 8 June
well it was a long labor and i was induced cause i had toximia, and they had to give me an emergency c section cause I ended up with an infection. I was so out of it I dont remember much that happened at the end or holding her for the first time. I am glad that we are both o.k. though. she is beautiful and such an easy baby. Her daddy is really great with her too.

Hi, try this link, if it dosnt work try BabiesRus.com or Amazon.com. Its called the "breathe easy sleep positioner" $14.99
http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2585661
Its a god send for me, my baby sleeps great in it. I just wish I had it for my first baby who is now 6yrs old. I remember walking the floor with him as he would wake up the minute I lay him down. I know what you are going through and it can be soul destroying not to mention completely draining and exhausting. I hope it works for you. Good Luck. xxx

MonikaOH - Wednesday, 4 June
Hi,
I have the same issue... my baby is awake most of the time and wants to eat all the time. We started using pacifier and cradle... helps a little. Also, I warm breastmilk for the night and give him warm bottle at 10.30 pm so he sleeps for 4 hours at night.
