dizziness as well as the retention of water (swelling in hands and feet) are symptoms of pre-eclampsia if you have access to a blood pressure monitor at your local pharmacy or grocery store it wouldnt be a bad idea to check it between doctor appointments. If it comes back high notify your doctor about it immediately. (I had PreEclmpsia with my youngest and he was set to be induced, luckily he decided to come on his own and was born just 6 hours before my scheduled induction!) Another symptom is rapid weigt gain, the last couple of weeks I was putting on 4 pounds a week due to the water retention.

those are possible symptoms of pre clampsia so she is just making sure you stay on the right track! if you catch it now they can give you medicine to help with your blood pressure and swelling so you can carry you baby closer to 38 weeks :) just take it easy so everything goes as well as it can!

nope that was with this one and i had my doctor check me on my next apt. and she said i was still closed tight and even tho my baby is head down he isnt engaged yet so its still gonna be a couple of weeks

Mine was head up 3 weeks ago. At last week's appt. they didn't do an ultrasound and the doctor couldn't tell by just feeling my stomach. I am not sure when they will check again. I heard that at 36 weeks they do another ultrasound to look at size and position and start planning for the birthing process. What did they tell you?

Hi I'm having a boy and keep thinking I'm having a girl. Two ultrasounds say defo a boy though. My hubby thinks I'm panicking subconsciously because I've prepared for a boy.

I'm not sure if your dream means you're having a girl, but I keep dreaming the same thing, and I'm also supposedly having a boy, lol. I was initially hoping for a girl, but I always had the feeling he was a boy. What does your gut tell you while you're awake? I don't really trust my dreams...I had one where I gave birth to a squirrel, lol! Baby Daddy said it was because I'm still subconciously hoping for a girl, but I dunno. Let me know how it turns out!

Hey you never know it could be wrong. I was a boy til the day I was born. Talk about a shock for my mom and dad. Hope that it's right or wrong if that's what you want is a girl. Keep me posted and good luck

My midwife had to check me because I was in the hospital twice in one week for regular contractions!
I am dialated to one!
Kinda scary.

Just got back from the Dr and she says it's carpal tunnel and will go away after the baby comes. Basically I am retaining water in my joints and I can take tylenol if it helps. Ohhh so grateful I went, not. I am glad it's nothing serious but it is painful and uncomfortable. Why should we start being comfortable now, huh? :-)
