Aw hon you are gorgeous ;) yeah, I'll have like 80 - 100 pounds to lose after this pregnancy is over... I'm really upset about it, but have resigned myself to it and the fact that I really "let myself go" this pregnancy, because I was overweight to start with, so something in my head just clicked over, and I kind of went "oh well"...

I'm ashamed, but I have a goal date set in any event, as next year June I have to be maid (matron? such an ugly word) of honour at my best friend's wedding... I will NOT go back there looking like this! I don't care what it takes :(

Hang in there hon... if you feel you need to talk to a counselor, then do... depression is awful at any time- but in pregnancy it's worse!

Thinking of you, and I'm here if you need to talk!

hey! i asked my doctor if i was going to have anothor u/s to see my little man again, he said no i'll hand him to you as soon as he is delivered. i think as long as your pregnancy is going well and progressing, no u/s.

my dr says to sleep however you feel is comfortable. Ive been sleeping on my back for the last 2 months cause my hips hurt and the baby digs into my ribs. Ive never once experienced light headedness & what not that they say you'll get from sleeping on your back. I even bought a raft for our pool so I can lay on my stomach for awhile to take pressure off of things

Hi!

About sleeping, I have having the same problem...and also when I slept on my side, whatever side of my tummy was at the top, would feel like it was being MASSIVELY stretched, and it really hurt. I got an Obus FOrme body pillow, and it's been really helpful. I tried a fluffy pillow, but for me it has to be a firm support pillow, so that's why I like the obus forme one. Also with the body pillows, you can put it under your tummy and also between your legs, to make sure your back stays straight and that baby gets a good level of oxygen. Hope that is helpful!

I know what you mean, it's so funny how fast the first few weeks of pregnancy fly by, but when the countdown is on those few weeks feel like an eternity! I would really be glad if I went a few days early, I just don't want him to come a few weeks early.

I too have been having quite noticable braxton hicks contractions and cramping pains. I don't think they are to much to worry about, i'm just hoping thay are a sign that the little one may come sooner than my due date hehe. Take care xxxx

I didn't think about pregnacy when I chose my implant size! Mine have grown from a 34D to a 38E. It's ridiculous. The only place I can even find a bra big enough is Motherhood. It's a nursing bra but it's pretty comfy, if that's possible at this point. Imagine when our milk comes in. YIKES. Will you be breast-feeding? I'm going to try but since I had a periareolar incision I don't know how successful it will be. I hope there wasn't too much damage. My baby has had a few jerky motions before. I think she had a temper tantrum! Today she is beating my ribs up. Very sore.

my boobs are huge now too and the pain of the bra cutting into my belly was horrible, i went from a 32B to a 38E! i found a nice underwire nursing bra at motherhood maternity. it was pretty inexpensive, $18.00 and comfortable.

I posted the other day about my babies movements that seem like she was panicking. It scared me but I have felt her consistantly since then. I don't what was going on but all seems normal.

tdawn - Wednesday, 4 June
Oh, and I think it only cost about $4.00

Hey, I saw your comment about the bras. I haven't found one that doesn't feel like it is digging into my belly (I have bruises under my boobs from my bras, and a cut in one spot in the middle where my bras were digging in through the day). I have discovered something that has made my bras a little bit more comfortable though! At Sears they carry bra extenders, which attach to the hooks at the back of your bra, so you can adjust it to be bigger around if you need to. Sometimes throughout the day I feel the need to loosen the back of my bra, and I can just go up to the next size (It gives you about 5 extra sizes that you can extend your bra to). The best thing about it is that it blends right into your bra (you can get different colours) and it doesn't feel like anything extra.. I hope this helps!

Glad to know I'm not alone with the weight gain! Thank you! How are you feeling??

CareG - Saturday, 24 May
I was planning on working until about 3 weeks before the baby was due, but I'm currently on medical leave of absence, as my back pain was excruciating at work. But I'm in Canada, where the benefits for maternity tend to be better (I think). The Employment Insurance benefits that the government pays for, covers a full year of leave. You only make 55% of your wage unless your work subsidizes your wage, but it's better than only getting like 12 weeks!! I'd say how early you leave work should likely depend on what kind of work you do!

MommaD - Saturday, 24 May
I plan on working until I go into labor, then Im taking about 12 weeks off after my baby is born.I sit at a desk, if I were on my feet all day I'd probably have to stop working at least a month before delivery.

Hey there! Don't get too discouraged; I've gained 42 and the pounds keep coming. Hmmm... why is it that some of us gain so much more than others? I try to eat decent..... lol
