Hey, My name is Betsy Clark and my husband and I are pregnant!!! We have been married since July 7, 2006. We used to date in high school. We both married the wrong people, got divorced, and found each other again! We are so happy and blessed that we did. We feel so incredibly blessed that this pregnancy is going so smoothly. We live in Odessa, Texas and we love it here. I am a pre-k teacher and i absolutely love it. We're excited about raising a baby! Congratulations to everyone and i will and would love any and all advise from anyone who has done this already. Thanks!!

We’re having a baby!!!

Thursday, August 23, First day of last period. Baby due on May 29, 2008

Monday, September 17, took our first pregnancy test and two more the next two days.

Thursday, September 20 (4 weeks) going to see Dr. Lively at 4:00. He put me on folic acid.

9-25 blood work is good

9-28 nausea 10:00ish-3 and nasty taste in mouth

10-5 second set of blood work good! Not much nauseau, no sore boobs, just very tired and I sleep any chance I can.

10-18 (8weeks) apt with Dr Lively. We heard the heartbeat and saw a little tiny body! He put me on progesterone twice a day to help the baby.

11-12 (12 weeks) apt with Dr lively. Everything was perfect with the baby!!! No problems and we heard the heartbeat again and saw more sonogram pictures. He took me off the progesterone. We are so very super excited! Next apt. is Dec 13

1-2-08 (19 weeks) we saw the baby today and the sonographer says it looks like a GIRL!!! woo hoo! Also, yesterday on New Year's Day i started feeling my little one moving around. I have felt her move every day since then. It feels like muscle spasms, but since it is deeper inside, i know that it is her. I love to feel it so much. Sometimes i wont move after i feel it for a long time in hopes that i might get to feel it again. She only does it when i am not expecting it of course. But it makes me smile so big when she does move!

1-11-07 I went to Dr. Lively today and everything went well. He wanted to do a 24 hour urine sample to make sure i am not spilling protein into my urine. Sounds like so much fun! ha

1-15-07 (20 weeks) Lacy is moving a lot every day and i am still feeling marvelous. I am not happy with the numbers on the scale, but i guess there isn't much I can do about that now.

1-31-08 (23 weeks) She moves almost all the time...she is so very active. Daddy got to feel her for the first time last week. Made him smile. I had special 2D and 3D sonograms of her today and she is just precious and she is confirmed to be a girl by 100%!!! Lacy Joy is a blessing!

2-8-08 (24 weeks) Just thought i would update. Nothing new really. She moves a LOT all the time these days. She doesn't like to sleep at night very much. I wake up a lot more now days than before. I am already beginning to be a bit miserable with this belly. I only get miserable after i eat and i become even bigger. But, i love every minute of having this precious baby inside of me and feeling her move is so awesome.

2-25-08 (27 weeks) So, i had my first major break down yesterday about getting fat. I cried like a little wussy girl to my in laws. I wouldn't be such a baby if i was just getting a belly, but my face is getting fat and swollen, along with my legs (they look like tree trunks) and my arms look yuk and i just boo hooed. So, then i wake up this morning and look myself over real good in the mirror before putting on my clothes, and what to my dismay but i have stretch marks! I just knew i woulnd't get them, but i do. I tried to not cry about that too, but i did a little. It will all be worth it when Lacy get's here, but for now everything is just ugly.

3-31-08 we started our pregnancy classes at the hospital. We are learning a lot. We go every monday night from 7-9 for 5 mondays in a row. The guys dont enjoy the class very much, but all the moms to be are learning a lot about relaxing and all the birthing choices.

4-2-08 (32 weeks) we went to see the Dr. on monday and we got to see Lacy. She is so huge. He says she weighs 5.4 pounds, as of now. He is afraid she is going to be a big girl. I feel pretty miserable and it is hard to think about being this pregnant and more pregnant for 6 to 8 more weeks.

4-15-08 (33 weeks 5 days) had a little scare today. I saw a tiny bit of bright red blood when i went to the bathroom. I called the Dr.'s office immediately and they said to come in. So, i went right over and Dr. L checked me and my cervix is shut good and tight and I heard Lacy's heart beat and everything was good. He said i might have lifted something too heavy or coughed too much or something minor like that, but at least i can breathe easy again. Whew! I just wanted to make sure everything was good and it was.

4-24-08 (35 weeks) I got to see Lacy today and she looks wonderful. She is still head down and ready to go. She has lots of amniotic fluid around her and she is very very active. I got to sit and listen to her heart beat for 20 whole minutes, which was very cool. He told me we would induce somewhere between 37 and 38 weeks. Oh, how this thrills my soul!
