Tuesday, 26 August Hang in there! You are a strong woman to keep the fort down while your hubby is gone. We are almost there, hope you have a wonderful day honeybee621 -
Sunday, 20 July Perhaps your doc just doens't see the need for the Glucose testing, but...the reason shouldn't be that you are having a C-section. And..for him to not do a pelvic on your first visit is crazy. They always do them at least on the first visit to ensure you are healthy down there and don't have any problems that could interfere with the baby. I would request the pelvic exam or tell him that you feel you might have an infection or something and see if he will check you out. I'd rather know for sure that alls ok then for him to think it is. Good Luck! mommyrock -
Sunday, 20 July Not every doctor just does a glucose test to do a glucose test. You should ask your doctor. Perhaps you are not showing any signs of having GD and he feels that you don't need the test. Most doctors check your urine for suger and perhaps he just feels that it would be an unnecessary test. I did not have the glucose test but it was because I refused and did a journal and finger stick test and my sugar was fine. You are still too early to have a pelvic exam done, my doctor didn't start doing them until 36 weeks with my first. I am having a c-section and I won't know if she will do a pelvic to see dilation or not until I get to 36 weeks. If you have questions just talk to y our doctor. kristam -
Sunday, 20 July I am shocked that you have not had to have the glucose test... I thought everyone had to have one.... Just because you are having a c-section does not mean you won't have gestational diabetes... Not sure though! Doesn't sound right to me! Good luck with everything though! indiegurl -
Sunday, 20 July Hmm, I would try and ask of an opinion from another doctor or even a health line. The glucose test is always done!! Aswell as blood work during the first trimester and also a pap smear to check for irregularities.... not just stds but for many other things.. and this is ALWAYS! My twins were a c-section and so far the plan for this baby is also. deb2404 -
Sunday, 20 July you should have a glucose test. I have Gestational Diabeties and my blood was bad and still remains hard to manage.. maybe you should speak to your family dr? I have not had a physical exam.. I don't expect I will until closer to the date.. (thats fine with me). cashe00 -
