Hi everyone! I'm now nearing the end of week sixteen and feeling very well indeed. I still get very tired but nowhere near as badly as before, and I'm getting used to my new shape. Since I last wrote, I've had my first scan (see photos) which was unbelievably brilliant, the baby was hiccuping and rolling around - very cute! So overwhelming though, I just never imagined how I would feel seeing him/her for the first time. This morning I had my quad test, for downs syndrome, and I find out within a week what the chances are. We still haven't decided yet whether we want to have the amniocentesis test if I'm high risk - it's a tough one. Any advice would be much appreciated.
I'm going on holiday a week tomorrow, I can't wait, needing a break from the work on the house. All of our family and friends are so excited and very supportive of our situation, it's really lovely to share our news now. I am starting to get a little bump now, although I still don't really look pregnant. I'm hoping that means that I won't be huge by the end, but I think that's just wishful thinking!
Thanks for reading, I hope you're all well and enjoying things as much as I am right now.
xx
Hi all, thanks for taking the time to look at my page. I'm currently in week eleven and waiting for my first scan, on May 16th, and also for the first trimester to be over! Having said that, the last 11 weeks have gone as well as I could have wished for, and I'm loving being pregnant.
My dp and I have been together for six years, I'm 27, he's 36, and we're right in the middle of renovating our house, got to get it finished before November!
One thing I'm loving at the moment is that we have our own little secret, shared just between us, we're cherishing it, as it won't be just ours for much longer. I'm also looking forward to telling our family and friends, everyone will be really excited for us I hope!
My symptoms are now easing off, I've been lucky enough not to have been sick, although from weeks 6-10 I felt nauseous from about 11am till 6pm. Other than that it's just been sorre bb's and feeling exceptionally tired, I honestly don't know how all of you expectant mums out there are managing to hold down jobs, hats off to you. I work from home so find it easy to take a nap when I need it, I think I'm very lucky.
It would be great to hear from any nearly mums out there, I love this site, everyone is so so kind and helpful, I don't know whether I would have kept sane this long without you!
That's all for now I think. Happy thoughts to everyone x x x
