Just a quick update, I'm now 26 weeks pregnant, went to see my midwife yesterday which was nice, she measured my uterus at 26cm and said that the baby likes to lie with it's back curled round my right side, which is why my tummy looks a little lopsided at the minute! I have put on 10 kilos, (22 pounds) which she said was pretty healthy, and she also said that the reason I look quite small is that I'm fairly tall and hide the bump well, I have quite a long torso apparently. I'm still going to the gym, went last night and felt like I had more energy than I have done in ages! It was great! I'm going to start some antenatal yoga classes soon too. Still haven't bought much, we're saving up to buy carpet at the moment! The house is taking it's time, but we're getting there now, slowly. I'm so excited to be counting down the days now, November will be here before I know it! Can't wait!

Hope you're all well and enjoying these few months, they feel like they're flying by for me! XXX

pregnancy

Exactly one month since I last wrote! Today I'm 21 weeks pregnant, and I'm still loving it! I've now had my second and last scan, didn't find out the sex, rightly or wrongly! So a surprise it is! The sonographer said she knew though, so at least it's one or the other!! lol. We're busy painting the rest of our house, still lots to do, but it's getting there. We've also been on a very relaxing holiday, where we started to feel the baby moving, and now it hardly ever stops! I love it! Also just found out that one of my best friends is due two months after me, very exciting! So all is well. I hope everyone's okay, and growing well, wishing you the best of luck and happiness. Thanks for taking the time to read my page.

Hi everyone! I'm now nearing the end of week sixteen and feeling very well indeed. I still get very tired but nowhere near as badly as before, and I'm getting used to my new shape. Since I last wrote, I've had my first scan (see photos) which was unbelievably brilliant, the baby was hiccuping and rolling around - very cute! So overwhelming though, I just never imagined how I would feel seeing him/her for the first time. This morning I had my quad test, for downs syndrome, and I find out within a week what the chances are. We still haven't decided yet whether we want to have the amniocentesis test if I'm high risk - it's a tough one. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I'm going on holiday a week tomorrow, I can't wait, needing a break from the work on the house. All of our family and friends are so excited and very supportive of our situation, it's really lovely to share our news now. I am starting to get a little bump now, although I still don't really look pregnant. I'm hoping that means that I won't be huge by the end, but I think that's just wishful thinking!

Thanks for reading, I hope you're all well and enjoying things as much as I am right now.

xx

Hi all, thanks for taking the time to look at my page. I'm currently in week eleven and waiting for my first scan, on May 16th, and also for the first trimester to be over! Having said that, the last 11 weeks have gone as well as I could have wished for, and I'm loving being pregnant.

My dp and I have been together for six years, I'm 27, he's 36, and we're right in the middle of renovating our house, got to get it finished before November!

One thing I'm loving at the moment is that we have our own little secret, shared just between us, we're cherishing it, as it won't be just ours for much longer. I'm also looking forward to telling our family and friends, everyone will be really excited for us I hope!

My symptoms are now easing off, I've been lucky enough not to have been sick, although from weeks 6-10 I felt nauseous from about 11am till 6pm. Other than that it's just been sorre bb's and feeling exceptionally tired, I honestly don't know how all of you expectant mums out there are managing to hold down jobs, hats off to you. I work from home so find it easy to take a nap when I need it, I think I'm very lucky.

It would be great to hear from any nearly mums out there, I love this site, everyone is so so kind and helpful, I don't know whether I would have kept sane this long without you!

That's all for now I think. Happy thoughts to everyone x x x

hey Billo

Hows everything going??

I've had a very busy week this week, apart from working l've had an us appt as well as an OB appt. Little baby Anabelle is doing great!!! For 19 weeks she is 280grams 10 onces, is 23 cm long and heart beat 149. I have put on 2kilos and 50 grams for the entire pregnancy - which is outstanding according to the midwife. Although l feel as if l have put on 10 LOL.

So everything this great from here down under.

Did you get to see the gender at your appt?

Rebekahs-mama - Thursday, 14 August
Hey! So glad to hear from you! Sorry for the delay in reply. It's been a busier day than I planned. I'm doing great! Yes, the baby is kicking like mad, although still very sporadically. I had my appointment today and the doc had to chase the little bub down. Apparently we have a very active one in there who doesn't want anyone to hear it's heartbeat without a fight! lol! I find out what I'm having in 4 weeks and can't wait. YAY!

Awwww, don't worry about looking small. As long as your uterus measures properly then there shouldn't be anything to worry about. I stayed so small with my last one and I'm sure I will this time, too. I don't think I told you, but there were ladies who couldn't tell I was pregnant when I was 2 weeks from delivering! So don't worry! lol!

So it seems like your pregnancy is moving along very quickly. Does it seem that way to you? Mine feels that way as well. I can't believe I'm 17 weeks already. We're both going to have our babies before we know it. I guess that means you need to get off your buns and start getting things ready, huh? hehehehe! We decided we're going to look for a second crib and a double stroller. Other than that I think we have most of what we need. Oh yeah, and of course a second car seat...we'll just buy a bigger one for Bekah and then the new baby can use the infant seat that Bekah's currently using.

Well I apologize for having gone on this long. Once I get going there's no stopping me! lol! It was great hearing from you. If we don't talk before my next appointment I'll be sure and wirte to let you knw what we're having!

Thank you. That is funny because everyone tells me I am small too! But I am getting bigger so my next picture will show a much bigger belly. I start my 7th month next week so we shall see.

I had a horrible stitch in my left side again last night. But it went away within an hour. It almost had me doubled over though. It hurt really bad. I was getting scared but then it went away and she was kicking me so I knew everything was fine. Thanks for the concern though. How are you?

Emilie - Wednesday, 13 August
yes everything is ok, i just wish my man was a bit more considerate sometimes, we have just moved into our own home, both working full time and i have family arriving at the weekend cos our wedding is on Monday, i am quite stressed out to be honest and my man has a short temper and no patience at all so i am basically organizing everything, i am just glad my pregnancy is going well, cos i am working so hard, i could not imagine being bed ridden or really sick cos i have so much to do XX

jas1987 - Wednesday, 13 August

Brightonbelle - Tuesday, 12 August
Hi Billo.
Great to hear all is going well. I hope your midwife appointment goes ok, I love going to the midwife just to hear Bubba's heartbeat, it makes me well up everytime.
I really enjoyed my first pregnancy as on reflection you tend to have more time to focus on it and buying baby things is great. Although I did over buy for my daughter which is a lesson well learnt now but we kept a lot of the things from the first time so we have less to buy this time.
I love the surprise too and sometimes feel sorry for people that do know and tell everyone as there is less expectation.
Hope everything contiues to go well
Take care

Brightonbelle - Sunday, 10 August
Hi Billo.
Thank you for your reply, you're just down the road really! Things are going really well with the pregnancy, I have loads of movements so much sometimes baby keeps me awake at night.
A friend of mine once said to me that if you believe in something strong enough it will happen, I kept believing and here we are pregnant with no 2!
Hows your pregnancy going? Do you know what you are having? Is this your first pregnancy? (Sorry haven't looked at your page yet!)
This site is great, I get to make contact with ladies due around the same time as me. Looking forward to sharing the expectations.
Take care

sazzle - Friday, 8 August
We're doing great thanks! He's so cute! Love him loads! We're now trying to get a routine into place with feeding as he was feeding on demand and it was driving me ad as he wanted feeding like every half hour! we're now doing every 2-3 hours depending on how long i can stretch it out (a dummy buys me another half hour which is great)! I must admit it is a bit boring doing the same thing day in day out but when i can drive (2 weeks hopefully) i'll be able to go out and do things which will be great... we're doing baby yoga course in Sept so can't wait to start that!

How r u.. u must be getting moreand more excited as time goes by?

BODObaby - Friday, 8 August
Thank you so much for your comment on my poll regarding late ovulation. I had never heard of the luteal phase...makes sense. Lets hope I am successful in getting pregnant. If not, it will be something I can bring to my doctors attention. Thanks again...I really appreciate it. Congrats by the way on your pregnancy! It's very exciting. My son is 7 months old and quite amazing!

Mrs. Beasley - Friday, 8 August
