I am a 34 year old woman, obviously a woman, LOL who is having my second child, 14 years after my first... We are incredibly exited about everything....I am thrilled to be able to share this experience with my son also. When he is going to University, our second will be going to Kindergarden.... :) At first the thought was hard to wrap our heads around, and now we think it is sooo neat to be able to have experienced once child grow to a young man, and next we can begin again to shape and mold another, using our expereinces and being able to share them with our boy for his knowledge in the future... just so happy!

hey am from week 30 and saw your post on spd i have it aswell and the same as you am at the point of no return i cant be fitted with a brace as i was told it will crush the babys head cause my torso is small the pain is something that i havent experienced in my life i have 4 weeks left of work and am trying my best to stick it out but i cry everyday so your not alone hope you feel better soon.

Hey oh yea no problem I was concerned about that because it was just such a weird feeling but she said its totally normal she didn't give a specific name she just said it's his nervous system like when we get scared we jump and since their in our tummys we cant see their reactions but once their born you physically see it.. I've looked up their nervous system development and it made sense after that! hope it helps a little more... have a great day!

Actually they kind of solved it themselves. Xavier blew up on Altan last night, he was screaming at him, told him that "you hurt my mommy really bad". To my surprise Altan actually acted like a grown up. He let Xavier scream his heart out after which he told him that he was very sorry. He actually told to Xavier that he was very imature and selfish and asked Xavier's help with me. Xavier was absolutely delighted that he was asked for help. I stood on the stair step and listened to the entire conversation, it was funny hearing Xavier tell him that you got to watch for this, she does not like this and you need to help her with this even when she says no. As weird as it may sound, I think this separation was a good thing for all of us. We all learned something out of it.

Actually it is a little frustrating. I've been alone for most of the pregnancy, and now he won't let me do anything. I feel like I am handicapped all of a sudden. It is also a little suffocating because now I am caught between him and Xavier for attention. I think Xavier is also a little jealous because now he has to share resposibility with Altan.

My pleasure. In all honestly without you and some of the other gals on this site I will have been a basket case emotionally. My babies are all right. My husband came home out of the blue. He swore that he never touched the other woman, all he did was use the room she provided since he had no other place to go. I said he was sorry, that he never realized how well he had it. He said that we may have had our rough spots but life without me and his baby is much worst. I pray that he really got it this time.

ok so today I was suppose to ahve my fluid levels checked but the ultrasound lady was out sick so they had my reg 35 week appt and rescheduled my u/s for wed at 4. Dr said my contractions are fine at what they are and if baby comes now he wont stop it! I think he believes im gonna go early but so does all my fam but I dont wanna jinx myself because of course everyone wants to think they are gonna go early. I cant believe I only have 35 days left!

ok anyone experience this? Ok so my fluids are low and im on bedrest but since thursday i have been gettin braxston hicks with cramping and last night they were more severe than the night before but they arent consistant they will go every 5 min for about an hr or two and than stop and hour or so later pick up.. just wondering if any of you know what that means

Ok so I had my 34w appt today and I told the nurse I had felt a little leakage but none in a few days she contacted my dr and they sent me to labor and delivery the hooked me up and i was getting contractions every 3-5 min Dr told her not to give me a shot to stop them becasue i was so far along and if i went into labor it would be fine well they sent me to ultra sound and found out my fluids are low so doc ordered bed rest and sunday I have to go in for a non stress test at labor and delivery and than monday i have to go see him for an ultrasound to see if my levels are still low (: Im pretty sure that if they are still low they will keep me there on complete bedrest and if they continue to stay low induce I only say that because my cousins wife had a similiar problem.. we will see

Hi, I have just read your latest blog (but it wouldn't let me comment on it!!) I can totally sympathise with how you are feeling. I have also got SPD and it is awful. I have found swimming and wearing a support belt helps immensely. I got my belt from my physio and he has told me to wear it all the time except when in the bath/shower. It really helps me find a comfortable position to sleep in which has helped me overcome the 'depression' Ii have been feeling. The doctors have also said that if it becomes very painful it is reason to induce labour at 38 weeks so it may be worth asking about that? I am being delivered early anyway due to our little girls heart problem but if that wasn't an issue I would definitely opt for induction due to the SPD!! The thought of getting over the discomfort 2 weeks (or possibly 4 weeks) earlier than nature planned would be too appealing to say no to!
I also lost my cousin at the age of 33 on Monday so know how you feel about wanting to support family members through a loss but not being able to so if you ever want a chat just let me know.
