Marvin and I were married on November 24th, 2007. We are enjoying married life to the fullest! We want to have children right away. Our timing was off last month. We were using an ovulation kit to pin point my fertile period. We got it right this month... We'll see in a couple of weeks if we have a bun in the oven. If not we'll try again next month.

January 23rd... I just got a visit from AF. Yuck! But we'll try again in next month. =)

February 6th... My fertile week... we're having fun trying! We'll know in a few weeks if we were successful. I can't wait for my first Valentine's Day with my Husband! =)

February 25th... 5 days late! Wondering if I'm pregnant... I'm going to the Doctor tomorrow for a blood test to know for sure if I'm pregnant. I hope I am, but we can always try again next month! After all... trying to get pregnant is the best part! =)

February27th... Well... Blood test was negative. AF came this morning. My DH has been wonderful! Looking forward to trying again next month! =)

April 17th... Of course I hope I'm pregnant this month! But I know it will happen when it's supposed to. I'm feeling great! I read on another website...

  • Nearly 50 percent of couples conceive during the first 3 months.
  • About 75 percent of couples conceive during the first 6 months.
  • Up to 90 percent of couples conceive during the first year.

June 24th... After another month of a weird period I went to the doctor again. She told me to come back if I had any more problems. She tested me for PCOS, Hormone levels, Liver and kidney function, Insulin levels, DHEA, Estradiol, FH/LSH, and Testosterone. Everything came back normal. I was worried that I might have PCOS, because my beautiful sister has it really bad. No signs of PCOS... WONDERFUL! The only thing she thought was a concern was my testosterone level was a little high. I'm going to see an endocronologist in a couple of weeks. The doctor said it's probably nothing, but she wants to be completely sure. She said with a healthy diet and exercise it will balance my hormones naturally. Losing weight would also help me to get pregnant. I feel great! Since I'm at at-home-wife, and I have extra time, I'm going to really increase my exercising. I need to take advantage of the time that I have. Wish me luck!

    - September 25th, 2008- Well it's been a while. I've gone through some tests and stuff to find out why I'm not pregnant yet. My PCP wanted me to see an endocronologist to talk about my elevated testostorone level. My doctor has concerns that I might have PCOS... I'm overweight and my sister has PCOS. I went to the Endo last Friday. She was AMAZING! I felt like she had all the time in the world for me. She told me, after we talked for a long time about my history, that I do have a mild case of PCOS. I thought that was weird. I never miss my period (there have been a few that were late, but they came), I ovulate, and all my blood tests are great. The Endo had me take the glucose test to see if my body could handle Metformin. I just got the results back today. She said my glucose levels are actually low. Too low to go on Metformin. So she suggested I go to my OB/Gyn to get started on clomid. I have an appointment on Tuesday. We'll see what he says! =)

  • October 2nd, 2008- I went to the OB/GYN on Tuesday to talk about, what is the next step??? So he told me my blood tests look great. And he has no problem starting me on clomid. First he wants me to be on birth control for 2 months, then as soon as my cycle starts on the 2nd month, STOP the pill and START clomid. He only wants to do the clomid for 3 to 4 months, after that he wants me to go to a specialist (that's if it doesn't work). He's hoping that it will work in the first month. Birth Control, along with 2 months of exercise and good healthy eating with increase our chances to like 75% or more! Woo Hoo! We shall see.... =)

  • December 2nd- I finished my first round of Clomid last Saturday (Nov. 29th). So far I haven't felt any side effects. I hope it stays that way! I've been charting my temperature and it's all over the place. So I am also using an OPK to really know when and/or if I ovulate. I started doing fertility yoga yesterday. It was hard, but I'll keep doing it until it gets easy. Not much else going on here. Just BD every other day and peeing on sticks =). Another normal day in the life of a TTC woman. Baby Dust!!!!!

  • December 29th- I finally took a HPT after being 9 days late. Guess what???? BFP! I still can't believe it! It seems so unreal. I thought I was PG all through Christmas, but I was trying really, really hard not ot get my hopes up. I told my sister first and then my husband. I can't believe it! I don't want to tell anyone else just in case. I might change my mind later, but we are waiting for now. I can't wait until my first Dr. appointment. Wow!

  • January 30th, 2009... Found out I'm having a missed miscarriage. =(

  • February 2nd, 2009... Had a D&E at 11 weeks. Baby never grew past 4.5 weeks. Eveything went very well. I have an amazing doctor! =)

  • March 9th, 2009... Doing much better. I was crushed when I had my D&E, but I know everything happens for a reason. I miss being pregnant, but I know I can get pregnant again. I haven't had my first period yet. It's been exactly 4 weeks. The doctor said it could come between 4-6 weeks. I hope it comes soon. We have to wait 3 cycles before we can TTC again. We are thinking super positive and preparing ourselves for the next pregnancy. =) Baby dust to everyone TTC!

  • March 20th, 2009... My period started. Hooray! Now we can really focus on healing. We decided to let nature take its course... instead of waiting 3 cycles. We will wait until my 3rd cycle to use the clomid. Let the games begin. =)

  • May 31st, 2009... BFP! Again! I took a test after church and the 2 lines came up right away. I had a feeling I was pregnant again. The last 3 weeks I've been so nauseous, tired, and moody. I tested when I was 7 days late. We are praying that this one will grow and be able to hang on full term! I'll feel better once we have the hcg levels tested. We are not telling anyone (which is so hard because I tell my Mom and sister EVERYTHING) until we know everything is going in the right direction. I'm excited and cautious, but I'm really trying hard to be positive! Baby Dust! =)

My doctor told me I can have a slice of pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving, and not measure my blood sugar. :-)I might have turkey, a salad, and some pie, and I think that will be within my carb limit. I am so tired of counting carbs and calories (I am actually trying to increase my calories). I am also not very hungry, but I know I have to eat. I am craving things I can't have, mostly. I really want fruit, lots of it! And nutella, and chocolate. I would love to have a donut and some cake, and pasta, and potatoes(I don't do well with potatoes at all). I want milk too!!! Maybe I will have some with dinner tonight. I feel like my bs levels are up and down, but maybe I am paranoid because I started taking medication. Hopefully, my fasting numbers will continue to stay under 90 because I really don't want to increase my medication dosage! :-(I'll let you know the rest of my numbers in a little bit. :-)

I visited my doctor because my fasting numbers have been going up within a week. She said I have to take medication at bedtime. She prescribed 2.5 mg of glyburide. I took it 2 nights in a row, and the my fasting numbers have been 84, and today it was 88. JUST under my limit (90). But my after dinner number was 75 last night! I don't get it... I also noticed that I am not able to eat the things I used to eat before. I also don't think I am eating enough calories. Ughhh... I can't eat so much protein! My husband took me out to a burger place last night. I looked at the nutritional information, and it said there were 64 carbs in my burger, so I had 1/4 of a bun. I replaced french fries with steamed veggies (according to their chart, it had 20 carbs). I thought 75 after dinner was kind of low, so I had another carb serving when I got home. My numbers are ALL over the place. I don't even know what to expect anymore. 58?!?! I think it was a meter error... maybe?

The Dr just called with my test results. My beta is 4,413, and my progesterone is 10. He said both are normal. However my progesterone is on the low side of normal. The normal range is between 9-26 at 5 weeks pregnant, but some people have much higher. He told me that I could go ahead and start using 3 suppstories a day, to help boost it more, until the placenta takes over at 12 weeks or so. So fingers crossed!

Ughhh, my number was 100 this morning. I had a fiber bar for breakfast, and my number went down to 86. I don't understand!!! Some doctors prefer a 1-hour number (usually, under 140), some 2-hour (if testing after 2 hours, my doctor wants my number to be under 120). I am also SUPER tired. I've been "sick" for 2 days. I don't think I have a cold, but my head and my eyes hurt, and I feel suuuuuper tired. So I decided to stay home just in case and rest. Oh, my numbers yesterday were: 102, 129, 95, 106 (I walked after lunch and dinner). I am also freaking out because I don't think I am eating enough and I hope my baby is getting all the stuff that he needs (I am not taking prenatal vitamins as they make me sick, but I take 2 flinstones and folic acid). I will try to find you on Facebook. If I don't, my name is Jane Polonsky ~ find me! :-)

I will try drinking milk before I go to bed and see how I do. I will try Cinnamon tea as well (although I hate cinnamon). But yes, I also head that cinnamon really helps with sugar numbers being better. I will definitely try and let you know how that goes. :-) Thanks!!! I test 1 hour after I finish eating my meal, and my doctor wants my number to be under 140. I manage that well. Today my number was 95 after lunch! Lol, my main picture was my pre-pregnancy picture. I highly doubt I will be able to crouch down like that now, and if I will, I will DEFINITELY fall over, and not be able to get up. LOL! I am going to start cooking dinner too. I took a day off work today because I felt super tired for the past couple of days, and I felt like I was getting a cold (but I didn't.). I will try milk tonight...

HI! I am so happy your wrote because it's always nice to talk to people who are going through a similar experience. I've been diagnosed with GD at 17 weeks (I had my test around 15 weeks). I've been doing GREAT up until now. This week my fasting numbers have been: 104 (re-tested 94), 93, 98, 86, 102. Prior to that my fasting numbers have been under 90 (that's where my doctor wants them). My after meal numbers are excellent (with a few highs here and there, mostly because of something I ate). I am on a very strict diet (20% carb), and it's really hard for me to gain weight too. I've gained 13lbs in the first trimester, and now I'm up 19lbs. I don't feel like I'm eating enough calories. I'm DEFINITELY not going to eat the same as I did before after I give birth. I was pretty much eating only carbs, but in small portions. I'm not on insulin or any medication. I just called my doctor because I am freaking out about these fasting numbers. Someone has suggested taking a bedtime snack, and I did. I think it's making it worse for me.

Girls, I went back to the Dr today, and he did a ultrasound. We seen our babies sac, and the baby starting to form. Right now it just a little white speck inside the sac. I am just happy to know the little one is attached in the right place, and things are progressing as they should. I am going to put the ultrasound pictures up in a minute. YAY!

I just called the Dr office and my beta numbers are 58 for 12/13 DPO. For what I have read that is pretty good. So fingers crossed this little one stays!

Thanks for your comment. I am going to spend some time going through your blogs, probably tomorrow because my b/f works all day, and I planned to do some research on what I should be doing. So far the doc hasn't mentioned increasing my appointments or any extra testing, but I figure that will be based on my ability to keep my sugars, so we'll see? I would at least like another ultrasound, but I'd be just as happy to not have to deal with it at all, just not the choice I'm given, so I'm going to look at it as a wake up. I haven't been as good with my diet as I had with previous pregnancies, so I need to do better!

Hi Ladies, sorry for the delay. I have a sick little girl today. She has Strep, I had to take her to Dr after my appointment. Nothing too terribly exciting to report here. He just did blood work, to see what my numbers come back at. He did go ahead and put me on progesterone suppositories. I have to wait till tomorrow as they are compounded (made in the pharmacy). He said that he is optimitic that things will work out this time. So fingers crossed!

Well girls I go to the Dr today at 2:20, so we shall see what he says. My test have been getting progressively darker, but the test line is not as dark as the control line yet. I am 12 or 13 DPO, FF can't decide. Wishe me luck!
