At that second ER visit I was 5 weeks and 5 days. So as of today, 11/29/2007, I am 8 weeks and 4 days. I don't know about you guys, but every week I am on the internet trying to see how much the baby has develop and what is normal for mommy. I have not had my first normal visit with a doctor as of yet because my doctor has retired and I want to try to find a good doctor for me and my baby. I know I need to hurry, but that is important to me. I wish you all the best and each of you are in my prayers.

Febuary 4, 2008

I went for an u/s today which was supposed to double check the baby since my lab work results stated that my baby maybe at risk for down syndrome. Everything looked normal, but would have to get an amniocentesis to be for certain. I declined the amnio and I am just going to keep praying like I have been doing that my baby will be healthy and ok. The good thing that came out of this appointment is that I found out that IT'S A BOY!!!! I am so excited that I don't know what to do.

Went for my 1 hour Glucose test today and I am just praying that everything turns out fine. Wish me luck ladies!!!

Went to doctor's appointment today and found out that my glucose test was fine and I don't have GD. HOORAY!!!!! The baby's heartbeat was good and my belly measured a little bit over the normal but doctor said maybe he is a big baby, but we will see.

Today I had my baby shower and it was such a wonderful turn out. I was surrounded by family and friends, which some came from out of town. I thought that I would be very tired after the shower but my feet was hurting more than anything. I got wonderful gifts and I was very blessed to have so many people to attend that love and care for me and Cayden. I have posted a couple of pics so you can see how much fun I had.

Well, today I had a doctor's appt and had my strep B test done (vaginal and rectum). OUCH! My doctor is now scheduling me for every week now so I go back to the doctor on June 9. I will let you know the outcome of the strep B test. Take care all of you and God bless!

Had doctor's appt today and strep B test was NEGATIVE. Yeaaaaaaaah!!! I gained 3lbs, which I was surprised. Didn't think I had done anything differently. Maybe the baby is bigger, who knows. Next appt is June 16. Same old same old, check urine, weight, fundal height (I guess that is right), etc. Will keep everyone posted. Take care all of you and God bless!

Went to the hospital today because I thought I was leaking. As I was there to get admitted, I started to have really bad cramping. They put me on the monitor to monitor the baby's heartbeat which was good the whole time. They did an internal exam to check to see if I was leaking and to check to see if I had dilated any. I was not leaking, had not dilated and cervix was still closed. They did an ultrasound to check the level of fluid which was normal. Everything was fine but my doctor wanted to come and check for himself. After waiting for 3-4 hours for him to get there, he checked me and as stated before, I was not leaking, still had not dilated and cervix was still closed. The thing about the whole visit was that I was contracting the whole time I was there. The contractions went from every 8-10 mins to every 3-6 mins, but since the contractions wasn't changing my cervix there was no need for me to stay. After being in that hospital for 9 hours I realized that it doesn't matter if you're contracting, dilating, or even leaking that baby is not coming until he/she is ready.
