Ok, baby number 4 for my family...

I have two teenage daughters and a three year old son. Oh and a hubby, a cat, a rabbit and a goldfish called charlie.LOL

I am an older mum.....

We are due May16th- a busy time for us as 2 of our three children have birthdays in May. I'd better get

organised .lol

Size of my babies to date: 7lb 4oz - 7lb 6oz - 10lb 4oz. Ouch i hear you say on my last one..lol.

I enjoy reading all your comments and to hear what you are all going through, especially as i dont really sleep during the night.

4th January 2008---21weeks&2days---Had our ultrasound today. It is another whopper according to the sonographer. Either that or i am 2 weekd ahead of my dates. We didnt find out what we where having, to the dissappointment to everyone around us. I think it soooo exciting not knowing. Besides it is not knowing that gets me through the labour.

19th January 2008 --- 23 weeks&2 days--Ok, I have a karate champion or Ninja warrior in here..WOW....kicks make me jump. I am due an antenatal on Thursday 24th and am so looking forward to seeing my midwife or doctor. Seems like ages since i saw them last. Baby keeping me awake from 3am now, so it looks like i have a party animal in there too.

21st January 2008---23weeks&4days--- Oh its Monday and i am feeling a little emotional today. I dont know why. I have been having dizziness and come over quite faint. Taken little snacks when ever i leave the house, so a sugar boost helps aswell as water. My bundle has been very active, and today one of the children at my son's nursery came up and said "had i eaten too much breakfast", pointing to my very sticky outy belly.... I had to laugh. Out of Mouths of babes as the saying goes. My 3 year old jumped to my defence and said "dont be silly, my mummy is having my baby and he is called Dinaco ( which is a character from Carz)...Seeing as we do not know what we are having, i think he may be dissappointed if he gets a little sister.LOL. Had to buy bigger bras today. Gone up 2 cup sizes....GOOD GRIEF!!! They are huge. i think i may be able to feed half the Uk with them. My friend suggests that i should go for skaffolding that workman use on building sites....(thanx mate).

22nd January 2008---23weeks&5days---reflection....I have just read that a mummy had lost her little baby girl....I am sure that there is heartfelt and sincerest warm wishes to her, from us all. It has made me reflect when I lost a baby back in May 2007. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think of our lost soul....the pain never leaves (and i don want it too either)..... Nothing can prepare you when you loose a precious gift of a child. It made me think that although pregnancy is a time of happiness, it is also a time of sadness for those who have lost their Angels.I count my blessings that God has given me the gift of bearing children but he decide to he to take away one for his Angels. Prays to all those who have lost.. X X X X

24th January 2008--- Had antenatal with the doctor today...Blood presure up and i have to go back next week to monitor it....i had been getting dizzy during the week but you just out it down to hormones.ooohhh great...But all things considered i am feeling ok. Baby moving ok...giving it some welly in there..Husband on melt down as he thinks I do too much and need to rest...lol.

29th January 2008-24 weeks & 5 days.--been discharged from hospital...what a weekend i had. Started to bleed heavily on Sunday night, and kept me in..I have had steriods to mature baby's lungs just in case i go into labour early, which the doctor did think this...Gosh i am soooooo tired. Bleeding thankfully stopped, blood pressure has gone down aswell. We were hoping for a home birth but have been advised against it...got to go back to hospital at 37 weeks for a labour review..they want to induce (thats if i last that long the doctor says). Due to the fact i had a whopper baby last time and i virtully sneeze them out, they are a little concerned...So may be the baby will be here on 24th April instead of May 16th!! OOhhhh watch this space.

4th February 2008---25 weeks&3 days. Monday again....feeling good. Up from about 4am now as that seems to be the pattern of my little bundle at the moment. Blood pressure down still( thank heavens), and i still have to rest on doctors orders..which suits me really. I potter about the house doing a little nesting....Lots of Braxton Hicks at the moment but nothing to bad, ooooohhhh and the leg cramps can be quite nasty sometime...but us mums soldier on dont we.lol... Hospital bag at the ready just in case...a blue hat and a pink hat is packed!! And we have now choosen a buggy, car seat and carry cot. Dont you just love shopping for a new baby??!! A friend of mine has knitted the most gorgeous baby blanket ever..i love homemade things. It shows how much thought goes into it. I still cant beieve that in about 12-15 weeks i will be holding our bundle....getting really excited now.

15th February2008--- 27weeks--- Not long now i guess. Seeing as the doctor review labour at 37 weeks...makes it 10 weeks to go. My shape has changed dramatically and a definate wobble has started. Eating everything in sight at the moment...and of course i darent get on scales, but aslong as the baby is ok, that all that matters now. I cant live without my body support pillow at night...ooooo it is the best. I drape myself over it in bed and my hubby getting a little jealous and suggests we draw his face on it...LOL...Up every morning about 4am, ready to have weetabix and milk. Baby is at its most active then...and the movements are getting quite strong now. Braxton hicks getting powerful too...ooo sometimes takes the wind out of this olde gal!!

All going good and no complaints really apart from feeling so unattractive and far too emotional...but valentine choccys have helped there. :-). But if that is all i have to worry about for the rest of the pregnancy then that suits me just fine!!

22nd February 2008--28 weeks---Had antenatal yesterday. All is going good..YIPPEEEE. Blood Pressure-normal, baby heartbeat-normal, blood taken(red in colour) normal..hehehe. Asked for something for the delightful hearburn...wow..i have been drinking gallons of milk to help...but then i need to pee most of the night. been prescribed Gaviscon aniseed flavour...Oh MY it is yummy.

My belly shape has changed, although i am puffy all over my belly really pointing out there. Everyone around me are now saying that I am having a boy...well we shall see. Geting very out of breath climbing stairs and even putting on shoes now..LOl..My poor toes have been neglected so my teenage daughter gonna pamper them this weekend..looking forward to that.

I had a go at those gender prediction sites...just for fun...well in both cases i was told it was 50% chance of having a girl...which makes me no wiser really does it??LOL. Been nesting and was in my element cleaning out the fridge the other night. My hubby joined in...it look like a scene from 9 1/2 Weeks, but without the romping...but i bet Kim Bassinger didnt look half as sexy in her yellow rubber gloves and antibacterial spray. well Kim, some of us gals just have it, dont we ladies??!! ;-}

February 29th 2008--29 weeks--its creeping closer and closer now.. Having hip problems now, but had that before pregnancy and possibly aggravated by the weight gain( and i still not gonna tell ya what it is..lol). Baby been moving but not really kicking much..as it is getting much bigger now,lots of rolling and stretching going on in there, but when it does kick...WALLOP!!!! WoW takes my wind right out of me. Is it me or is it that all of a sudden there seem to pregnant women everywhere??? Today at nursery 4 mums announced they were pregnant and at shopping i saw 3 heavierly pregnant beauties...Must be nothing on T.V again.LOL..ahhh it is nice to see.

It is mothering sunday this sunday and i have been told that i am having a breakfast picnic in bed..for those who have never experienced this, let me enlighten you. A blanket on top of the bed,at around 7am and a feast of delights will be served without the eggs i hope , cos i have gone right off them at the minute. With favorite teddies, headless dollies, tonka cars, a sprinkling of lego, 3 eager to please children and a darling hubby, who will probably have burnt body parts while using the stove. A bit cramped but fun all the same. I am going to take full advantage on Sunday, feet up and everyone at my beck and call. PURE HEAVEN!!

March 7th 2008---30 weeks--- I cant believe i am 30 weeks already...i remember being 8 weeks thinking to myself i will never get to the end...but here we are!! everything going well (thank heavens)..and i had a compliment this week from a friend i havn't seen in ages..she said I suited pregnancy and i was radiant ( translated, probably means, red faced, puffed out and round, lol). My iron a littel low at the moment so been prescribed tablets...eekkk makes me feel constipated...but it is not forever so i can put up with it. Braxton Hicks getting strong again...sometime i feel like the baby is pushing downwards and my family and friends think i have dropped already...can this be????

Husband been off this week from work, which has been great to have company during the day. We have a family christening coming up on Sunday, and he is God father. Unfortunately i would like to say that i am looking forward to the occasion BUT half of his family including his mother are such PIGS!!! We will no doubt be ignored, including the children....and there will be hanbags at 20 paces. My M.I.L is a bully and has reigned the family for years. When i came along and wasn't putting up with it...ans she met her match. My husband has a large family and the M.I.L doesn't like any of the wives/girlfriends...her lose....most of the grandchildren have been blanked now....ooooo i could rant on about it forever...but she aint worth it!! LOl

Anyhow...got a dress, shoes and a little slap for the old face and i will be raring to go and party...gonna take my slippers though, cos my pinkys do swell by the end of the day..hehehehe. Will be doing the Cha Cha Slide in my cerise pink fluffy slippers...Dirty Dancing at its most sexiest.. ;-}

March 17th--31 weeks&3 days---Not a bad week so far. Baby moving well. Plenty of pushes and body popping going on in there.Midwife appointment this week...getting more frequent now so i know we are nearer the time. Swelling a little more in the evenings now, so i have increased my water intake...trouble is i need to pee all the time now.Not going to bed til about midnight now in order to be sooo tired that i crash out cold for 6 hours then wake up and dash to the loo.But rather 6am than 3-4am. My "airbags" have decided to swell to mammoth proportions now. I feel like a buxom wench that has her backside slapped as she serves Mead Ale in an olde english pub, with sawdust on the floor!!LOL. Bought more hammocks for them and scaffolding at the ready. My hubby gleaming at them at the moment but have told him they may squirt and drown him! ;-}. OOhhhh leaky lady bumps...I feel like a cupid in a water fountain. hehehe.

April 5th 2008--34weeks&1day--- I havnt written anything for a while now...i think it is cos the weeks seem to be flying by. Well i have midwife appointment on 10th April, then 2 weeks later, up to the hospital to review labour!!! When midwife measured me 2 weeks ago, I am either 2 weeks ahead or we have a whopper, as they predicted! Growth scan coming up...I gonna let the sonographer know that we dont want to see the screen, cause i guess by now we would be able to tell what sex it is...and we want a suprise. So who knows, in a matter of 4 weeks maxium, our bundle may well arrive by induction. Then again they may make me wait, to go all the way....GROAN!

Have requested sex a few days before hospital from the hubby....to hopefully get things going. He aint so sure....Whats a girl to do, you throw yourself at 'em and then denied.LOL. Been getting quite painful contractions, but then eveything stops..I cant remember going through this with my other pregnancies. I am going to treasure evey contraction, ache, pain and gripe...as this will be our last edition to the family...twisted i know!

We are virtually ready for the baby now.....just waiting....my 3 three year old has been pushing the baby's buggy about (to get used to the changes) and putting his favourite cuddly monkey in the baby's moses basket. I heard him say to it "you can stay here til the baby comes home, then you can come into my bed" I filled up...Kids say and do the cutest things dont they?
