October 22, 2007- Today @ our Doctor's visit we found out what we are having. A little Boy!!!! :) The ultrasound tech told us we probably wouldn't be able to find out the sex this ultrasound because I was only 18 weeks. She likes to wait until 20 weeks to make sure of the sex. So we were a little disappointed! But she decided to venture down to the area that would determine our baby's sex. My baby had his knees bent and he was covering his little area...but we think he wanted us to know because all of a sudden he started to move and kick his legs. The ultrasound tech said, "This baby must want you guys to know what he is" and sure enough he opened his legs and we got a clear view @ his scrotem and penis! IT'S A BOY! Tears feel from my eyes...excited about the news, shocked it wasn't a girl (hehe) and a moment of my father all went through my mind! My baby is due 3 days after my father's birthday (March 21st). My due date is March 24th! My father passed away a little over a year ago...this child is truly a gift from God and my father! I wouldn't have it any other way! So I guess it's time to get used to saying "I have TWO sons!" More boys to take care of their mom! I can't wait for my little Christopher John! Here's to a safe continuing pregnancy! God Bless.

It's a Boy!

a baby is something you carry inside you

for nine months

in your arms for 3 years

and in your heart until the day you die

December 22, 2007- My lil Chris is moving a lot inside me these days. It's so exciting because his daddy and big brother have been able to feel him kick and move. We are all excited these days and are getting ready to welcome Christopher into our family. These days with the pregnancy...feeling irritated very easily and short temper. I get sensitive and cry easy. Feeling fat, unattractive, and miss shopping for regular clothes. It seems as if I've been pregnant forever.

What we are doing to prepare for baby? We have registered for our baby shower in January. Reading material on breast feeding. Buying diapers to stock up for baby...and getting excited yet scared for labor. Been through it before...but it's been 12yrs! I can't wait to have my baby boy!

Wow! Congrats, congrats, congrats! My girl was big too, 8 lbs 12.5 ounces. I guess we have big babies in common...lol. I kow what you mean about the pain, I had a c-section this time and with my boy 5 years ago (he was also big; 8lbs 12.3 oz). C-section recovery is definitely rough stuff but after 3 weeks I was feeling pretty good. My little princess just turned 2 months old. Congrats again and enjoy your precious new baby boy!

Thanks! Breastfeeding has def been problematic because of the surgery and long labor. I got broken boobies for a while!! Didnt latch properly under all thos drugs, then baby was constantly wanting boobie and it hurt, but things are def looking up, and I am glad I stuck with it. I am healing but still a tired wreck? I am confused by your baby page dates...did you just have a first son or sec? I hope you feel better soon!! When i am not so momnesia, it might be easier for me to figure these things out without asking!! I was looking for pics! love, laura

Hey, don't know if you remeber me, we were commenting back and forth months ago. Since that I've had my little girl (on Feb 14th) and I was wondering how you are doing. You are so close. God bless! Hope the delivery goes well : )

Hey! Thanks for checking on me :) I am still trying to work until spring break, but we have had 3 snow days so we only have 2 days of spring break left. The only thing that is keeping me going is that my doctor keeps telling me I might go early. Let's hope, because I am really no good at this point - my sub is a retired teacher and I know they would be learning much more from her at this point. I checked out a couple of weeks ago!! Good for you, try to relax while you are off, and let me know if anything happens!

I am also working until spring break - which is the same as yours. Our maternity leave is probably no different than yours. We get paid for however many days we have accumulated, after that it's nothing! My school has been really good though, they have let me set aside a certain amount of pay from each check this year so make up the difference. I am taking 8 weeks, but only have 3 saved. That really works well so that I can still get paid on leave. I am starting to get pretty tired - I teach 5th grade. They're great, they just require a lot of energy. (Probably not as much as yours do!) I feel like I am always on stage entertaining, but it's getting harder and harder as the weeks go by! I don't have disability insurance, so that won't help this year, but I signed up for it beginning next year! (I learned my lesson!) Take Care!

Get all the chripractor needed to get better, because it's such a blessing to be pregnant. I wish you the best in everything love.

sorry about the accident, good thing you're okay though! i actually didn't injure my tail bone. lately i've been having a really hard time sleeping so i stay up at night online. i sit on my bed for hours pretty much in the same position. so i think that its probably what caused my tailbone to ache. i hope you get better though. do you take any pain meds with your pain? its so hard me to walk today...no excerise today.

My baby is still laying completely legnthwise as well. I am a little concerned as she will not have a lot of room to turn in the coming months. But I have a aunt that was delivering when they discovered baby was breedh: dioc just reached up in there and turned the baby. Odd but if the baby could be turned at birth we still have time for our babys to turn.

Jo-Mama - Sunday, 23 Dec
I am totally avoiding baby stores because I want to shop, but I know I should wait. So I don't even go in. I've never been to Babies R Us and I refuse to step foot in there for another couple of months, otherwise I'll be broke!

Hi Debrah! I am very lucky b/c my husband is a chiropractor so when I have back pain or headaches he can adjust me and I feel 10 times better. I don't know if you go to a chiropractor but getting your neck adjusted can help TREMENDOUSLY with the headaches! Good luck with your pregnancy!

celticbelle - Friday, 5 Oct
You can still feel that your pants are unbuttoned but it is still comfortable. I am at the point were I can still zip up my pants but I am sure even then it would still be good.

sunfish21 - Thursday, 4 Oct
There was a lot of talk about the headaches last week (on week 14). I had one that lasted 8 days--several times I visited the chiropractor and massage therapist...I also used heat and ice on my neck and head. It is ok to take tylenol--and if you are suffering I wouldn't feel bad about taking it!

It's funny you should mention dreams. When I was pregnant with my son I dreamed I was having a girl and this time around I kept dreaming it was a boy and we just found out yesterday that...It's a girl!!! So you never know!!! Best wishes!

HI~I hope you feel better soon, you should.I am over the '24/7 sickness' thank goodness! I am eating like a freakn pig! My son wasn't happy at all at first, he's kinda immature for 13 and being an only child, he's not liking the fact that he won't be #1, get everything, have all the attention. He'll be fine, gosh, I'm gonna have 1 in college and 1 in kindergarten!!LOL~How does your son feel? We are really hoping for a girl,,,we'll see for sure next month! Take it easy
