7.06.07 I am pregnant with our first baby and we are very excited! We did plan for this but we were still surprised to find our little stick come up with a plus sign. We have three pups who are taking the news well and boomboom's grandparents may be MORE excited than we are. Today, I am 15 weeks and 2 days along. I feel pretty amazing (compared to the first trimester) and I cant wait to feel first flutters. I have tried loading up with sugar and cold drinks but so far I think I've only found my pulse!

Hello! I'm the very proud Dad to be. I just thought it would be funny for Kristine to remember when we first spoke about having a baby she informed me that she would be having a Home Birth without the any medications. I'm still trying to hold her to this statement but I'm pretty sure it's a lost cause. Unless I get mysteriously lost on the way to the hospital (for hours if needed) until we have a baby on the side of the road and make the evening news. Just kidding baby!

8.01.07 Today we had our 2nd ultrasound and we got to see boomboom yawn. It was so cute to see itty-bitty hands and feet! We recorded our ultrasound and have watched it probably 5 times since we got home. We still don't know the sex but have it hidden away in a sealed envelope; we are going to wait until birth to find out. It also seems that boomboom is a bit large for 19 weeks (12oz) so were going back in another month to check on growth specifically. That freaks me out, I was already nervous about delivery and now confirmation that my baby is already BIG? (shivering) Thank God for EPIDURALS! Then again, I should have known. Baby Daddy is 6'5" - A GIANT. I still haven't felt any movement but, for sure, I am a mommy to a bouncing baby boomboom. :) I've been feeling really good! Its like the first trimester yuckiness left me but some stuff still lingers. I must be used to it because I hardly notice anymore. I was getting brain splitting migraines so I went to a chiropractor. Dr. Rummage fixed me up and I haven't had any since! Last but not least, I have gained 20 lbs to date.

8.7.07 Eaaarly this morning I felt my baby move for the first time! It was so strange knowing that what I was feeling was another person :)

9.16.07 Ive gotten a little behind in keeping up here but I do have a belly book that I write in every week, heres whats been going on:
week 21: Boomboom was up late ...playing. The next morning, I found my first stretch marks and I freaked out. OK, maybe not freak out but I definately could not believe my eyes. My diet started to go to the wayside. I went grocery shopping and came back with a cart 1/2 fruits & veggies, 1/2 desserts.
week 22: It occurred to me that I'm not going to be pregnant forever and that someday soon, the baby will have to come out! I suddenly felt overwhelmed to register, research breast feeding to find the right pump, find birthing classes, and complete unfinished art projects (get rid of old magazines, etc) I went to my first prenatal yoga class. I like it a lot but its hard...I used to be able to touch my toes no problem!
week 23: The death of the cupcake queen. Ive gained 25 lbs to date. I indulged HEAVILY on cupcakes this week and all 3 dozen of them were heaven. The doctor told me to stop, 'you have a glucose screening coming up'. We found a crib, changing table, dresser and put it together in one night.
week 24: Brad bought me my Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag. This was the same week as his birthday so he got a diaper bag that HE could be seen with. We love our bags. Every time I buy something for my bag, he feels the need to buy something for his bag. He also got a camcorder for his birthday. After he installed the software, our computer crashed. We lost everything - itunes and photos. It was a sad time (Gentle reminder: don't be a statistic, back up your hard drive)
week 25: My belly button is starting to pop out! I'm pretty big now and people always ask me the same questions 1. when are you due 2. what are you having 3. what do you crave. Well, I love eggo waffles! I feel pretty good. Except I get one significant pain. Sometimes its hard for me to walk, like my lower back can't support my weight or make my legs move. We have a new computer so we are starting over. I'm still going to ASU football games but I may have to stop going for two reasons 1. its still freaking hot 2. three hrs is too long to sit on the hard seats. I feel like I'm starting to tire easily and am easily agitated (brad's favorite!) I'm also getting bigger, I've grown out of two pairs of maternity pants! Brad says he only fell in love with me because he knew one day I would carry his babies. Everyday he tells me how much he loves me and that I'm beautiful no matter what. :)

9.23.07
week 26: 14 weeks to go and Belly button hasn't popped. I can't wait for my next appt. I hurt A LOT, I've done some research and from what the internet tells me it's sciatica. Honestly, its been the worse part of my pregnancy. Yes, it sucks more than morning sickness. I'm also getting cramps/numbing sensation under my ribs. Brad says my feet are swelling (I think they're getting wider) and I have two new beauty marks on my face. Other than...I'm great! We've been shopping regularly and have registered in prep for the baby shower.

10.01.07
I went back to see the amazing Dr. Rummage. I love chiropractic care! I don't feel 100% but at least I can walk across the room :)

10.09.07
week 28:The doctor called. I FAILED my three hour glucose test!! We went grocery shopping for 'new' food. :(

10.26.07
I've gotten behind again!
week 29: We were shopping for baby shower stuff and found the how big is my belly game. It was at that moment that the love of my life turned to me and said 'your almost four feet around'. Thanks babe, love you too! It was a week into my new diet and we had just started to do our research into finding a pediatrician.
week 30: baby shower week! It was a lot of fun. Our hosts were Roseanne and Milt, it was a nice saturday afternoon. We played a few games and it was the first time we had the chance to use the camcorder. I discovered a new fake beer that day, kaliber. We have another planned with family on 11/17.
week 31: I have the friggin chicken pox. I cannot believe it. Well, let me rephrase, I cannot believe I have it and I cannot believe how painful it is. I feel like Im covered in bruises, not to mention they are itchy bruises. Im most concerned about the fever part. I was already running warm before I got sick. GD is also a big issue. Ive been dieting for two weeks now and lost a couple pounds. Now that I have a monitor I can see how bad my counts really are. Lets just say, if this continues I may have to eat only protein and green veggies or start the insulin.

11.6.07
Now that we have just recovered from the chicken pox and have gestational diabetes, I am now considered high risk. I went in for my regular prenatal exam and ultrasound, come to find out that boom boom's head is measuring at 12 cm and weighs about 5 lbs 14 oz! We were told that boom boom could come as early as December 5th (29 days)!!! I was all nice and ready for a 12/26 delivery but not 12/5. Now I feel like I am totally running out of time. By then we will have JUST HAD our baby shower and finished birthing classes.
