After waiting almost two years, I am finally pregnant! This is my first child and my husband and I are thrilled!!!

I'll check out the baby section too! I'm so excited for you and your husband. I'm glad all is going well. It's comforting to know that what everyone says is true. Enjoy your week and again, congratulations! Take care and please keep in touch. I will do the same. :-)

Oh my goodness, he is precious! Congratulations!!!!! This may sound crazy since we only chat back and forth and have never met, but I've been thinking about you. To hear that you went into preterm labor really hit home for me that anything can happen. I'm so glad that everything is ok. Please keep in touch and again, congratulations. What a miracle!

OMG, is everything ok? I can't imagine what you and your husband are going through right now. How long will you be in the hospital? Are you in pain? I hope not. Sorry for all of the questions.

I went to the OB today and all is well w/ our baby. She weighs 4lbs. as well. My c-section is scheduled for the 8th of Sept. Very anxious. Thinking about you and pray for no more complications. Hang in there.....

Thank you for the advice! It helped.

I'd just rather be safe than sorry, I mean I've read that the chemicals can cause ADD and early puberty. I personally just don't want to take either of those chances, and if I can buy bottles that may help prevent that then why not. Lol, I really don't care if people think I'm overly paranoid, it's my baby. When I told my mother in law about it she rolled her eyes, but my hubby completely agrees with me. We got rid of everything in our house that may have that chemical in it. If he has the recycled symbol on it and the numbers 3 or 7 on it then it's contaminated.

Hey! I dont mean to be a pain lol but I did some research and I found at Babiesrus.com that they have a BPA free section under feeding in which they list all of the BPA-free fedding products such as bottles, bobos, etc. Well I found a set cheaper then the Born Free and believe or not they are the old fashion bottles lol. They are not fashionable at all but its not about that anyway. And I also found the Playtex drop-ins are BPA - free and I used these with my first daughter as well. I guess I will get in Avent in the event I run out of drop-ins one day but I guess it drop-ins for us. I have to say these are also very easy to clean as all you do it through away the bag and replace them leaving just the nipples to clean. Hope this helps you out and look at babiesrus.com and under feeding there will be a link to look at all the BPA-free products. Let me know how this works out! ttyl
Aww man I had my heart set on using the blingee bobos and they are not on the BPA-free list nor the binkees! :o(

leeleesmom - Monday, 7 July
All BPA-free are very expensive but if you really want to use them, then I think Born-Free is BPA-free. BabiesRus has a section that will list BPA-free bottles as well. Let me know what you end up picking because I was thinking of changing as well. I must say I have used playtex vent-air and also the drop-ins with my first child and she is perfectly fine. I also have 3 nephews who used avents and they are all fine as well. Keep me posted!

cmmbear - Monday, 7 July
Oh I know, I couldn't believe when I heard about what BPA can cause. I couldn't believe that they would put that in our babies bottles! Geez...people just don't care. What really upset me though is that Canada has already pulled all that stuff off of their shelves and the US is just leaving it there. I also have some BPA free pacifiers on my registry, let me know if you want the name of those and I'll get it for you.

3rdtymeround - Monday, 7 July
I used AVENT with my other two kids born in 2003 and 2006. They had BPA and there was no ill effects from them. I heated my sons and he had no effects and didn't heat my daughters. My son and daughter are very advanced according to thier caregivers and have no allergies, Asthma nothing. Also neither suffered from Colic due to the awesome AVENT Bottles. Regardless of what the risk I will be using the AVENT again with this baby. Please know that on the AVENT website it shows that later this year they will be making BPA free bottles, so if you start them on the regular ones now, maybe they won't have to use them very long and you cna buy the new once.
Good lcuk in your decision.

Oh cool! I get so excited when I hear someone's having their 3D session. It's so exciting! I do hope you get some great shots. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and your little one. Just make sure to have some chocolates or soda handy just in case a shot of adrenalin is needed =)

As for me, I always know my baby's asleep during the session (3/3 sessions) so for the last one, I drank a soda float and had a chocolate bar handy. I only do those during my u/s sessions lol.

And for the pics, I'm plus sized to begin with so anything "racey" is definitely out of the picture. Just belly exposure is fine with me... hahahahahaha (course I need to have the photographer do some editing coz of some yucky stretchmarks!)

cmmbear - Monday, 7 July
Hey, saw your post about the BPA bottles, I'm right there with you. I'm not sure where you're registered at but I'm registered at Walmart and they have the Playtex premium nurser newborn gift for 19.76 and then there's Playtex drop ins nurser newborn gift set for 14.96, but look for those or the glass bottles :) Hope this helps!

MKsAngel - Monday, 7 July
Oh and btw, I absolutely LOVE your pics. I want those kinds of shots too but hubby and I are both camera-shy

MKsAngel - Monday, 7 July
I was going for avent bottles too but after reading a couple of articles about BPA, I decided to go with Bornfree or Dr. Brown. I haven't had the chance to check if they do have gift sets though, thanks for mentioning that. I'd hate to have to list them individually for my baby registry too. I'll let you know if I find something out but I seldom go out. Let's see if I can find some on the net =)

I LOVE the pics. and you look great! Your photographer did an awesome job and I love all the different poses. Love the black and white profile pic. You're so lucky to have water close by. What a nice back drop for pics. I have a tattoo right at my bikini line and it's really starting to stretch.....thank god for photoshop.

Love the nursery theme too! We would have more than likely went nautical if we were having a boy. Very cute.

I am going to the OB every 2 weeks now and I should be able to schedule my c-section during our next visit. I'm excited about that but I guess that throws the birthing plan right out the window for me. Honestly, I'm not too disappointed. I just want this cyst "issue" taken care of and while I'm at the hospital so I won't have to go back for surgery once the baby is here.

I work from home as well....thank god! I should probably invest in a laptop so I could sit on the couch or lay in bed more often. I've been so sore and I'm sure it would come in handy once the baby arrives.

I'm glad all is well! ttyl

I bet you're excited about the kitchen almost being done and starting on the nursery. What colors or theme are you going with?

Our dresser arrived this weekend and I was able to do some organizing. I washed 6 loads of "baby" laundry which was a reality check. It's stressful thinking of what we need and don't need.....I can't seem to figure that one out. I guess I'll regroup once I've had my shower which is the end of July.

Yes, TX is flipping HOT! I sell Real Estate so showing homes has been a nightmare. I'm starting to swell so that's been exciting. Are you swelling at all?

Would love to see the maternity pics. I can't imagine someone taking pics. of me in my b-day suit....I'm sure they would die! lol I guess if you can do it, more power to you but not for me either.

Enjoy your week and I hope you're feeling well!

agrodebush - Friday, 27 June
Thank you :-) .. I told the woman I ate a bag of M & M's and she said that's okay.. lol.. so I'm sure it was that plus the glucose drink that sent me over board.. lol

MKsAngel - Thursday, 26 June
Thanks for the update!!! =)

cmarietaylor - Wednesday, 25 June
I went to the OB on Friday and I have gained 29lbs. so don't feel you're alone. I am mostly belly which I'm grateful. As long as I don't hit the 200lb. mark, I'll be happy. My sister-in-law gained 85lbs. Insane! Glad you're doing well. How is your kitchen coming along? Enjoy your week!

cmarietaylor - Tuesday, 24 June
Just checking in. Hope you're feeling and all is well this week. I can' t believe we're in week 28. The weeks seem to fly by for me. Anyway....just wanted to say hello.

HeatherNewman - Tuesday, 24 June
Hey if it's there use it. I saw no negative effects on my baby because of the drugs, in fact everyone I know has used demoral/epidural and nothing is wrong with their babies. I did have a problem with the epidural, after I had the baby I developed what they call a "spinal headache" it felt like a brain freeze everytime I stood up, it was because some spinal fluid had leaked, it was easily treated and I still don't regret it and probably will get another one this time around as well lol. A headache is a lot better then the pain you feel down there lol

I'm not saying anything bad about those women who want to go natural, good for them...but it's just not for me. lol I want to be completely numb...knock me out if you have to lol

MKsAngel - Monday, 23 June
True, good thing they recalled the bases so fast. I'll probably just check on the manufacture date when I go buy mine around August. If it's between the date specified on the recall announcements, I'll just inform our local mall that they should have it replaced.

Take care!

MKsAngel - Monday, 23 June
Hi there. Any news on the Chicco car seat base recall?
