MY STORY....
I realized that my family planning and situation doesn't make much sense and that I have been typing bits and pieces of my story like you all know the entire thing since I have been visiting this site for so long. So, I will put a brief synopsis here so I don't seem so confusing!
I have a weird story. When I was younger, I would conceive really easy. The flip side was that I have also had 6 miscarriages. After our 4th kid was born in 6.5 years I got a tubal ligation done. After about 5 years, we decided that we really were not done, but endometresis had damaged my tubes so even after a tubal reversal, it was still impossible to concieve. So that is why all the different things like IVF, HSGs, hormone shots, IUIs etc. I have had a couple other procedures done and I now have 1 good tube, but don't ovulate on that side very often...so that is why we do the IUI. whew!....

whew! A fresh start :) It was a little weird to just delete an entire pregnancy of stuff, but life goes on.
Our miracle, Noah, will be 7 months old tomorrow and we are all so in love with him. I am now 41, TTC and add to our family of 5 boys. Our other boys are 21, 20, 17 and 14. We didn't mean to have such a HUGE gap, but we have learned ALOT about miscarraiges, IUI, IVF, hormones, appointments and ourselves. It has been a journey but the outcome is wonderful. We really want Noah to have a sibling to grow up with (no, we are not trying for a girl.... WE LOVE OUR BOYS!) Hopefully, this will be the month - It is our 3rd IUI so we are hoping that the third times a charm ;)
I am on leave from teaching American Sign Language... the pictures at the top and this sign below are the only things left from my old profile.
| The sign for "baby" is made by placing both arms together as if holding an infant. Then gently rock your arms back and forth. Tip: think of holding a baby in your arms. |

Well, third time wasn't a charm :(
I had a HSG and my tubes eventually showed as open. The dr was great. He turned off the machine and we just waited for several minutes to see if the pressure of the dye would help open things up. We really thought this IUI would work 'cuz it was only a week after the HSG. We will try agin this month - there is an increased chance of pregnancy for 3 months after the HSG :)
If this month works, then Noah and this baby would be 17 months apart, which is just about what our first two were spaced. It was a good spacing... our oldest was too young to really remember life before the new baby, he was independent enough for me to be paying attention to the new baby and they grew up best buddies. I hope it works!
