If you passed your stress test then don't worry so much. Everything will be fine. Believe me the doctors don't want to be liable so they're not going to let you go if something is wrong. I'm sure everything is fine. Keep your fingers crossed for me and I let you know how things go.

Yes, thank you for asking! I went to the doctor who sent me for a non stress test. The baby isn't moving the way he was a couple of days ago. I pass the test, but because I had so much trouble with my daughter at 9 lbs and this little guy is now measuring over 10 lbs we scheduled a c-section for Monday...so that's the day, unless I go into labor on my before that. My due date would be Tues.

Thanks for the reply. Everyone is rooting for the c-section. I guess it's the way to go. I'm just nervous as all hell. I am about 30 min form NYC. We are actually going in Sept. to the museum of natural history, my oldest wants to go see the exhibits. Take Care. Susan

Yes this was my first baby. I left my house at 130am thinking my water broke, never had a contraction until i got to the hospital. They admiitted me at 2 and he was born by 230. So they entire process was an hour.. I am was lucky :)

Hi :) Ummm.. I'm not really sure exactly - Truth be known, its probably just an old wives tale. I've just 'heard' that you know, strange things occur on full moons... and that it aids in a woman going into labour. I'm not sure if theres evidence to back that up but... meh - if it works, it works! :) Good luck!

Hello! Thanks for the encouragement! It's been 19 years since my last pregnancy and i'm now a granny!

Glad you are having a great pregnancy! Do you mind me asking how long it took you to get pregnant?

They are not inducing...having a c-section. Both of my boys were breech so I had c-sections with them. The hospital I go to is not equipped to handle a VBAC so that means another c-section...although she is head down.

This was the ladies at church--most of the men wouldn't have been remotely interested! I would check with the father-to-be and maybe the grandpa-to-be or good friends of the couple. If they're not interested I would just keep it girls.

We had snacks, a couple of games (baby concentration with candy gifts to match the answers--'breaking water' got Trident Splash, 'epidural' got Lifesavers--and a paper game of guess the nursery rhyme). Then she opened gifts and we closed with a devotion. There's tons of great games out there. Plenty with more 'action' if you choose. We've done a little bit of everything in past showers from carrying a balloon between your knees and trying to 'birth' it into a small bowl, guessing the diameter of the mother-to-be's pregnant belly with yarn and see who comes closest, etc. I think having it at the park is still a great idea. Let me know how it goes!

Yeah and then walking around as my doc wants.. yeah..it seems impossible without it feeling like my back is gonna give out and my hips are gonna sashe right off my body and i think i spend more time in the bathroom than any other room in my entire house

I don't see what would be wrong with having the shower after the birth, and I think the park is a great idea! A friend of mine from church just had her shower last week when the baby was 3 weeks old. It was lots of fun. She really enjoyed it. Granted, that was because it had to be put off for a couple of emergencies at church, but it still worked out fine.

Hi hun

Yeah this is my first and ive been ready completely since I was about 5 months gone!!!
Over here you only get 2 scans, 1 at 12 weeks and then 2nd one at 20 weeks. The 12 weeker is the dating scan and the 20 weeker is the measuring and sexing scan. My fella has 2 girls and I really didnt want a girl so asked to find out at the 20 weeks scan.
I have refused all other tests so its all jst been by the 2 scans. I have actually ended uop having 4 though, one extra as I hadnt felt him move for a bout 5 days and another because they wanted to check his weight as If he was too big it would off gone aginst my Hypnobirthing.

Hi hun

Im having a boy, due tomorrow, but still no signs of anything taking happening!!!
Did you look up that site I mentioned?
Im based in Birmingham, UK.
So do you know what youre having? when are you due?

kelly.m - Thursday, 12 June
Hi hun

Sorry, my thoughts on a fanny child is one that just wont leave the mother alone and hangs off her all the time and cries for stupid reasons!!!!
Like I said im having a boy and I want him to behave like a boy, my friends son is such a fanny, any little trip and hes crying, he wont even be hurt but he hates being dirty so the smallist bit of dirt on his hands and hes screaming the place down.
If you go to google an type in "baby astrology" it will tell you about all the star signs and how they effect babies born under them.
Obviously it only works if you belive in it though, my fella dosnt and looked at me like I was crazy when I told him.

Good luck and take care
Kelly & bump xx

I'm sure it does happen now and then. Crazier things have happened. My son is now 7 months old. He was born 11/4/07 so I won't be getting pregnant again for a while. Things are going great. I love having a little boy in the house. He has such personality. If you are having a boy that's wonderful. They are a joy! Congrats!

Hi there
My sister was told her second child was going to be a boy and she already had a boy so was excited that she didnt have to buy anything new. We all bought cool baby boy outfits and then she ended up having a girl!!! She even had 2 extra scans as she was in a car accident so 3 different u/s technicians confirmed it was a boy, My niece is a bit of a tomboy though!!! Good luck. xxx

sarahj82 - Friday, 6 June
They start to check at 35-36 weeks. They will begin to do the internal exams to see if your cervix has softend or if you are starting to dialate. Most women go into labor from 36 weeks on. So be prepared. Good luck

My Dad lives in NYC Brooklynn I live in VA.

I saw your post about sexes. It is usually the other way around. They think it's a girl and turns out to be a boy. If they see a penis then most likely it will be a boy. They may not see one and think the "lines" are a girl and it turns out that the penis was hiding. Kind of like pregnancy tests. You can get a false negative but not a false positive. You can have "false" girl but not a false "boy". Sorry. Next time I was a girl but I absolutely love having Kekoa. He is so much fun!
