things are going well here. Christopher is almost a month old! he will be 4 weeks tomorrow. He is doing good. He is back to his birth weight now. But soo far he has had an eye infection and now he caught a throat and chest infection from my husband! so he has already been on antibiotics twice!
How is Nolan? he must be getting big now! How are you doing?

Hi Bree,

Sorry it has taken me soo long! it has been crazy here!

So I went to the hospital on the 26th at 8pm to be induced. Yes I made it that long! So by the time I was admitted and accessed and hook up. It was aroud 11:30 pm. They decided to put me on the drip.

All was well and I got my epidural very early so I wouldn't miss my chance again! all was going well. at around 6am nurse checked me and I was 5cm. And she left to get the Dr to break my water. Just as they walked back into the room, my water broke on its own. In 2 contractions I went from 5 cm to 10 cm!! then I pushed a few more contractions. Christophers heart started dipping down with the contractions. So I had 2 Drs there and they both checked and decided that he was too big to make it down. So I had to have a c-section. By the time that was all set up, he was born at 8:25 am. It was all good though. To be honest recovery from the c-section has been much easier and better than my previous 2 vaginal deliveries.

So my big boy is doing really well and I am going to post a few pics of him now.

What is with me though! my first was 15 days late! second was 7 days late and Christopher was 10 days late! They just don't want to leave me!

Yes I FINALLY had my big boy! he was 10 days late and weighed a whopping 9lbs 15oz!! I will write more when I get settled. We just came home yesterday and have had visitors etc

Happy to hear that Nolan is doing so well! I am still pregnant!!! Getting more and more frustrated as the days pass! maybe tonight will be the night! I can hope right! The stripping my membranes didn't hurt, it did feel wierd and I tensed right up. but it was quick and painless. Hope you are enjoying your first christmas season with your new little one! bet you he is gonna get spoiled!

Hi. So went in to the Dr yesterday. I am 2cm and he said my cervix is favourable. (whatever that means!) He stripped my membranes, and I had contractions start and stop twice yesterday! Sonow I have to wait and wait! If nothing happens then I am being induced Dec 26th. he doesn't think I will need it, but we'll see. How is that little boy if yours??

Hey, Glad to hear you are feeling good! Hope Nolans circumcism goes well today!

So my due date is here, and no signs of anything happening! I go to the Dr tom morning and he is going to strip my membranes. Hopefully that starts something. I will find out tomorrow at my appt what happens next. I really hoped that this baby would be on time! I thought I was deserving after my first 2 boys were late!! Bradley was 15 days late and Michael was 7 days late. I really want this little guy out before christmas!

Wow time is going fast! he is almost 2 weeks already! and I am still waitnig on my little one.... Nothing going on at all! Just waiting and waiting. I am feeling alot better the last few days though. Seem to be getting things done and organized. Guess thats all I needed was stress! Don't go to the DR again til tues the day after my due date. He is going to strip my membranes so hopefully that will do something.

How are you feeling after all is over? Are you healing ok? how does it feel to be able to roll over again? LOL!

I am ok. getting a touch of post pardum depression before the baby comes. Never had it before so it is been a rough past week. hopefully it is just the stress of x-mas and everything all at once and it passes once he is here! Though he was coming today. I was at the grocery store and I thought that my water was leaking. then I was cramping for a few hours. went to the dr but no nothing is going on. very frustrating! anyhow he is going to strip my membranse at my next appt if I haven't had him yet.

they didnt tell me what my glucose level was... i passed the first test, but i may be taking the second test to be sure... if so, i'll ask and let you know. :)

Hey Bree. I am finally getting online tonight and I see you have left me two different messages. My blood sugar levels have usually been around 90-110 (had two 78's) today. I guess this is good because I have to stay below 115 2 hours after I eat. My keytones were not so good today for I had a small amount in my urine. I have to contact my diabetic dietician my next week to let her know how things are going. She said if the diet thing didnt work then there were safe meds for pregnant woman to take. I think that is good just in case but I am trying as much as I can to not go on them. I already take 3 pills a day for blood pressure and two pills a day for iron plus the prenatal so I dont need it. I have been shoving my face with turkey, sugar free jello, and a little fresh fruit. I found the healthystyle bread yest that saids I can have two slices of bread for one servind of carbs. As far as having 45carbs a meal it is what I am doing except every 15 carbs is one serving and I can typically eat 3-4 servings of carbs per meal. I would still ask about the insulin shots because I rather take pills then stick myself with a needle. Let me know how you are feeling and anything new. Take care.

Hey I have to give myself insulin 4 times a day as of yesturday and do my blood sugar levels 6 times a day. My little man hates it lol moves heaps after I have injected myself. So glad I have a pen for injecting though couldn't handle a proper needle.

Hey Bree. I found out today that I also have to poke myself 4 times and have a controlled diet. I am only allowed 15 servings og carbs a day. That may seem alot but it really isnt because a sandwich would be at least 2 carbs. I just have to read the label. I found out that sugar free jello is a free food so tom I will pick some of that up and maybe some sugar free canned fruit. It is amazing how much food has carbs. Crazy I think. I also have to pee on a stick every morning to check my keytones (sugar in my urine). Do you??? I feel really bad that you have to give yourself insulin shots. I could not do that. I had a hard time time with the blood sugar monitor. I hate needles so much. Why did they rush you to insulin right away? You only had six days to prove to them about the changed diet. I asked about that today and they said if the diet doesnt improve my blood sugars then I am suppose to go on oral medicine. If that doesnt work then of course, the insulin shots. I would maybe get a second opinion or ask them about the pills you can take instead of being so drastic. I will have to wait to talk to dr about the ultrasound but I will. Good luck and let me know what you find out.

yeah... i am used to it... i guess.. as used to it as you can get lol.. it really isnt that bad. just takes a little adjustment. gd and type one arent exactly the same but close enough if you need someone to talk to just let me know k.
