How`s my pregnancy doing?

Jan-30th = We found out we are having a baby girl! She looked so cute and was sucking her thumb. I am so excited that I can finally buy clothes and things for her room with out having to do unisex colors.

Hello everyone and congrats on your pregnancies! When I was 16 I was diagnosed with endometriosis and told it would take awhile for me to get pregnant and I needed to do it as soon as possible. Well, six years later when I decided to try after graduating college, it took approx. 18 days! So much for being infertile. My boyfriend Adam is an officer in the military and I am working towards my masters in social work. We got to hear the heartbeat on 12/19/07 and it was amazing (170bpm)! This is going to be our first and last child so I am trying to enjoy every minute that I can.

Feb 19th- Went to the doctors and got the results back from all the testing and anatomy scan. Negative for absolutely everything!!! (I chose to test for anything they possibly could) The anatomy scan was perfect, couldn `t have been better. Such a relief to know she has such a healthy start.

Hey your getting a cute little baby bump!!! Did you have endo really bad? Was also told the same thing was diagnosed many years ago and was put on the pill and lupron for 8 years. I got pregnant after getting off the pill for two month!!!! Hope your having a good pregnancy:)

Hey, I researched this myself and they said to lay how ever is comfortable. They said that if the baby is not getting eanough blood it will wake you up and you will naturally feel the need to move over to your left side. I still lay a lot on my back and no problems so far. I bet after we get to big though it won't be as comfortable and we will know then to move on to our sides. Just listen to your body, it knows what is best. Just think, women have been doing this long before the days of tests and research. I figure we are smarter than we think!

i think they are ok, they burn a bit and sometimes i get bruises but its not a big deal. i hate waking up to take them if i accidentally fall asleep before 10 pm. im on 40 mg too but im starting to wonder if thats a high enough dose, im 199lbs and i would think i needed a bigger dose but who knows.

i've heard that you're supposed to sleep on your left side since that's the way your blood flows and that way the baby won't be losing out on any kind of blood flow or anything. not sure if that's completely true but i've heard that, so....

I was told and have read in your second trimester you should not lay on your back for two long because of the weight of the uterus is to heavy and affects the blood flow and sits on main veins in your back. I believe this is after starts at the fourth month. I do karate and I was told by my doctor after the fourth month I can not do any warm ups that require me to be on my back longer than five minutes, so I hope this helps.

Hey there,
I was told by my MW..this is my fourth little one. That sleeping is only what matters to you. There is no worries about what position to sleep right now at this stage. The only reason they say not on the back is because it is harder on you. And later...meaning 8 months you might want to make sure you sleeping more on your left side so that the blood flows nicely to the uterus and baby. Other then that right now....just sleep when and however you can.
HTH D.

Hey Brittany. When I went to my first appointment they told me to start training myself to sleep on my left side. If you sleep on your right, they baby has the potential to smash your liver. I learned to sleep with a body pillow and it helps me to stay on my left. I hope this helps. Good luck:)

Rachel918 - Monday, 31 Dec
hey, about sleeping. My best friend just had a baby and its later on in pregnancy that you shouldny sleep flat on your back. The body pillow is great if you dont already have one.

I'm doing pretty good on the heparin! I was rather nervous about the injections at first but with doing it twice a day I have gotten pretty used to it! I sometimes find some areas that are a bit more tender than others!! I do them in my belly as well. I'm bruised up pretty bad and the top of my tummy is yellow from the old bruising, but its well worth it. My dosage increases next friday, then again in third trimester, and they plan to induce 3 weeks early to prevent the extra stress on the placenta at the end. Hope all goes well for you!!! It appears your lil one has a high heartrate as well!! My doctor claims that a heartrate over 140 indicates a girl.. have u heard that one??? Best of wishes!!

hey thanks for the email. The vomitting is gone for now, i just need to find a way to get rid of my headache!!
Seems like we have a lot on common. I have endo as well they didnt think I could have kids, I got off the pill this summer and 2 periods later was pregnant! I also am hopefully going into social work, have a business degree but now need to wait until the baby is born to finish the rest of school.. Hope all is well and you are feeling better for now:)
