My name is Brittany and my husband's name is Danny. We have been married for a little over two years. We're both very excited to be pregnant and hope this one sticks around. We have had two miscarriages, which completely devastated me, so I'm a little nervous with this one, I just want everything to be okay!
21 Dec 2007- I am starting to get so excited! This is our third pregnancy and I have a good feeling that everything will be okay with this one and we'll finally have our little one! I have been feeling unbelievably nauseous, mostly in the evenings. We go to the doc next week; hopefully we'll hear a heartbeat! I can't wait!
26 Dec 2007- We go to the doctor tomorrow for the first u/s. I can not wait!
27 Dec 2007- Well we went to the doctor this morning and he said everything looks good! The only thing is we are actually two weeks earlier than we thought! We go back in 2 weeks to find a heartbeat. Can't wait!
6 Jan 2008- (6w 6d) I don't think I have ever felt this sick in my life! I get about 3 hours of relief a day, where I can actually get up and do something. My husband just keeps telling me to remember what the end product will be. We go to the doc the day after tomorrow. Hope everything goes well!
8 Jan 2008- (7w 1d) We went to the doc this morning and did another u/s. I almost started crying when I heard the heartbeat. The doc said everything look perfect and there is only about a 10% chance I could miscarry this time. WHAT A RELIEF! I am so excited! They gave me some medicine because I have been so sick and I'm already feeling better. It's funny because feeling so sick for the last 3 weeks all seems worth it now that I got to hear the heartbeat. Next appointment is in 5 weeks, it seems like forever from now!
23 Jan 2008 - (9 w 2 d) Just thought I would do a quick update on here. So I'm still pregnant, which is a big deal for me. We have never been this far into a pregnancy, so it's an amazing thing. It still seems like forever until we go to the doctor again (3 more weeks), but I know the baby is fine because it's making me sicker than ever! Hope all is going well for everyone else!
3 Feb 2008 - (10w 6d) Well, I'm sitting here with my husband, watching the superbowl and obviously I'm bored, so I thought I would write. We go to the doctor next Tuesday for our 12 week appointment. I can not wait to see our little baby. My morning sickness has yet to let up at all. Even with medication, I can barely keep anything down. Isn't it supposed to be getting better at this point? I feel like it's getting worse! I just want to eat something! It's really getting frustrating.
14 Feb 2008 (12w 3d) - Happy Valentine's Day to all!!! Well we ended up going to the doctor a little early because I've been so sick. I've lost about 5 pounds so they switched me to a different medication. I don't know if the medicine is working or if I'm starting to get over the morning sickness, but I'm starting to feel so much better, it's great! Our appointment went great! The doctor couldn't get a heartbeat with the doppler thing so he went ahead and did an ultrasound. It's the most amazing thing; our little bean actually looks like a human! Its little arms were up in its face, SO CUTE! We go back to the doctor in about 3 weeks! Can't wait!
4 Mar 2008 (15w 1d) - Well, we went to the doctor today. They didn't do an ultrasound, but I did get to hear the baby's heartbeat. We could also hear the baby moving around, A LOT! The doctor said it sounds like the baby is very active in there and it shouldn't be much longer until I can start feeling it. I go back in five weeks and we're doing an ultrasound to see if we're having a boy or a girl. I have a feeling that we're having a boy. If we go and he tells us it's a girl, I think I would faint. I just feel so certain that it's a boy, I don't know why. Anybody else have that feeling? I really don't care one way or the other so we'll just have to see. They weighed me and I lost another 4 pounds, so that puts me at loosing 9 pounds so far this pregnancy (isn't morning sickness great)! I'm finally starting to feel more like myself, so hopefully my next appointment I won't have any more loss. Here's to eating nothing but cheesecake for the next 5 weeks! :)
18 Mar 2008 (17w 1d) - I can finally feel the baby moving. It's the greatest feeling! I was sitting on the couch last night and it wouldn't stop moving. I'm finally starting to feel better. Every now and again I get sick, but for the most part I feel great. I can finally eat; I never thought I would appreciate food this much! Only three weeks till we do back to the doctor!
1 Apr 2008 (19w 1d) - So one more week till we find out what we're having! This week is going to just drag by! I can't wait. I know I said I think it's a boy, but lately I just don't know. I think I'm just torn on what I WANT to have, so it's messing with what I feel like we're having. One more week and we'll know for sure!
8 Apr 2008 (20w 1d) - Well we went to the doctor today and found out that we are having a little GIRL! I'm so excited! I think my husband is in a little bit of a shock right now, he really wanted his boy. Oh well, maybe next time. Everything looked good with the baby. She weighs a whole 13oz. She was being stubborn and lying on her tummy, so we couldn't get a good face shot. Stubborn little thing! I'm so excited! We go back in 4 weeks!
6 May 2008 (24w 1d) - Went to the doctor today! Baby is doing great. She had a strong heartbeat and was moving around. The doctor got after me for not gaining enough weight. I've gained back all the weight that I lost at the beginning plus a couple, so I don't know what the problem is. He told me that I need to eat more, but I don't really want to. I'm not starving myself by any means but I don't want to overeat. If everything is okay with the baby, I don't see why it's so important for me to gain so much weight!
20 May 2008 (26w 1d)- Well, I had to make an emergency visit to the doctor yesterday. Sunday night I started spotting and Monday morning I was still spotting, so they had me come in to make sure everything was okay. They checked to make sure I wasn't dialating and that the baby wasn't in distress. In the end, Katelyn is doing just fine and so am I. I was told that I need to slow down and take it easy. I guess I've been doing too much. It's so hard for me to have people do things for me, I just have to remember that I'm doing it for her. I'm just glad she is okay.
3 June 2008 (28w 1d)- Went to the doctor today. Katelyn sounded like she was doing just fine. She had a heart rate of 147 and was moving all over the place! I had to do my gestational diabetes test. It really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I was really nervous about drinking the stuff. I'll know by tomorrow if I have to do anything further with it or if I'm okay (hoping for the later). We go back in 4 weeks for another ultrasound, I can't wait to see her again!
4 June 2008 (28w 2d)- I just got a call from my doctor's office and I passed my glucose test! Yea! I was really worried about it for some reason. I am however slightly anemic, so I now get to take iron. What a relief, I'd much rather take the iron than have to deal with gestational diabetes!
2 July 2008 (32w 2d)- Went to the doctor yesterday. We got to hear Katelyn's heartbeat. It started out slower and then something excited her and it jumped up to 145. Maybe she knew we were listening! :) Doctor said everything is looking good and I'm measuring just fine. We go back in 3 weeks. I can't believe she will be here in less than 2 months. I can't wait!
24 July 2008 (35w 3d)- I went to the doctor on Tuesday. Katelyn's heart rate was good, around 137. The doctor was joking that she's got a boy heart rate. He said maybe he was wrong when he told us we were having a girl! :) We had two ultrasounds and both times she was a girl, so I'm not too worried! He checked me and I'm not dilated or effaced. Good news is she is head down. I could have told him that though, she likes to kick right into my ribs and my right side! It's so weird to think she's going to be here before I know it! Not much longer now and I finally get to meet the little person who's been kicking me! We go back to the doctor in 2 weeks.
5 August 2008 (37w 1d)- WOO HOO! Went to the doctor and I'm 1cm dialated and 50% effaced! Thank heavens! I think I would have cried if I was nothing again! Katelyn's heartbeat was good and everything is going well. Not much longer until she's here! It's like waiting for Christmas, it's killing me! My bloodpressure was back down to normal. Last time it was high, but I'm good now. I'm now going to the doctor every week.
12 August 2008 (38w 1d)- Went to the doctor this morning. I'm 1 1/2 cm dialated. He said she hasn't dropped yet, which is kind of depressing me! I want her out and I feel like it's never going to happen! We asked the doctor about inducing but he said they wont induce first time moms until after their due date, unless something is wrong. Dang it! I just want her out!
26 August 2008 (40w 1d)- Well we finally have a date to be induced. We go in 2 Sept at 6:00am. Hopefully Katelyn will decide to show up earlier than that, but so far it doesn't seem like her style. The doctor checked me today and I'm haven't dialated anymore. Atleast we have a date now, it's a little bit of a relief!
28 August 2008- Well no induction date needed! Right after I made my last entery my water broke! Katelyn is finally here!

Hey Britt!! So they scraped my membrane yesterday and my doctor was like ok well I will probably see you tomorrow or this weekend. I couldn't believe it. I had a slight panic attack. I have waited all this time and when it finally gets close, I freak out. I am excited though. She scraped it later last night so probably tonight I will be feeling very crampy. I am going to go for a 3 mile walk now and try and make her come out. If for some reason she is not born soon my doctor will induce me on Aug 20th. I hope your app. goes well today. Let me know how it goes. Beg him to scrape your membrane! oH my gosh I am so nervous and now every little thing I am like oh my am I in labor or not. So kyle had a dream last night that I was in labor and he reached over and touched my arm and he jumped out of bed because he thought it was Gracie's leg coming out. It was pretty funny. He has dreamed about it every night. Well I hope work isn't killing you. Good luck with everything. let me know how it goes

Ha Ha, it is funny to read your concerns and questions because they are all the same things I worry about and think about. Ya sex life sucks. Same thing the only reason we have done anything lately is to get me into labor. Kyle can't wait until I am not pregnant either. Ya I know what you mean about breast feeding. My sister couldn't do it, my friend couldn't. I feel like it must be so hard then and I probably won't be able to. I hope so bad I can though for so many reasons. I think you just can't give up so fast. I think alot of people get discouraged and then quit so we just have to stick to it. I bought my friends old breast pump for $50. It kinda sounds gross but they are way expensive and I just am going to change the stuff that could have been contaminated by her. I have no idea how to use it though. I will figure it out later, I think I will try and master the breastfeeding part first. We we have a car seat and base but it is not in the car yet. I need to start getting that stuff ready, I have her bag ready but not mine or Kyles. For some reason I keep thinking that i will be able to just pack it easily before we go to the hospital but now that I think of it, what if I am not convienately at home and have to go straight to the hospital from somewhere. That is cute that Danny was freaking out when he thought you were in labor. It is cute to see how they are. Kyle is always like are you ok or when I call.... Are you ok? I wonder what labor is like and I know they say that you will know when you are in labor but I have no idea what to expect. Probably when I finally do go into labor I will think it is not real. Who knows...... this is nerve racking. So I just made a bunch of treats to take to my last day of work tomorrow. It is so weird. I need to stay busy so I am not always thinking of when I am going to have this baby!

Ya my appointments are every Monday from now on. My doctor said that next week she will scrape my membrane! They did that to my sister and she went into labor 3 days later so hopefully that will happen to me!!! I know what you mean, I am overly anxious to have her that I can't enjoy the present time. I had to have a reality check and tell myself. Calm down, enjoy the week off from work, you are going to be a mom the rest of your life!!! So I think I can be content at least for another week. Has your doctor talked about being induced? Mine hasn't. Alot of people are getting induced. It is crazy. Is Katelyn's take home outfit a dress or a onsie? We are just taking a really cute onsie with pants. So have you gotten a nursing bra or anything? I just went to motherhood and bought one. I hope I can nurse. Do you have a breast pump? How is your sex life now if you don't mind me asking? Ok I am done with the questions. It sure is nice to have someone in the same boat as you! Well have a good day!

So how did your appointment go? I hope it went well. Well I am dialated to a 3 and still 80% effaced. This process is nerve racking and I am too impatient. So I only have two days of work left. I can't believe it. THings are finally starting to come to an end. HOw have you been feeling? Well I am excited to see how your app. went!!

Ya I have her outfit picked out. I just need to find a cute head band thing that is red. I swear all of the hair accessories for a possible bald baby are all white, pink, and purple. Where is the variety!!! So ya I have been getting BH contractions quite a bit and jolts of pain in my upper legs. I am excited to see if I have progressed at all this week. I will be bummed if nothing has changed. Ya good thing Danny doesn't have to go to Rexburg. That would be scary for him to be away that far. So when is your next doc visit? Mine is mon. My blood pressure has been good! I hope you don't have preclamsia. Well I hope everything is going well. Keep me posted!!

Cramps are a good sign. I have been getting alot of those too and little like side ache pains in my lower tummy. It is so weird. Anytime now, it is unreal. I can't wait to meet her. Do you have her first outfit picked out and everything. Did you get alot of fun stuff for your shower. I just finished putting everything away in her room. This week and next week suck because Kyle does his job and then he is helping his dad out with harvest so he is gone all day and gets home at like 11. So I never see him. Well I hope things are progressing for you, just keep going on your walks!!!

Hey there! So how did you baby shower go? Did you get lots of fun things? My babies room is a mess because i am trying to figure out where everything should go. I found out that I need more storage. So that is interesting about how he checked you. I have my doc visit tomorrow so I am excited to see if anything is happening yet. I sure hope so. SO I am out of energy lately. I can't wait for Gracie to be here. Well I hope everything went well with the party. I hope it was lots of fun.

How did they know she was heat down? I is crazy to me because I can pick out limbs and stuff but I can't pinpoint what certain lumps are sometimes. I am sorry you are not dialated. It is still really early but I know we are just anxious. That is a good overnight bag list. So I had my work shower yesterday. It was alot of fun. It is fun getting spoiled with lots of gifts. It is funny, I had like 13 people there and not one of them got something off my registry. It doesn't matter I just think it is funny. Baby stuff is different I guess! So ya I am so nervous for labor and I am sure we will know if we are when the time comes. Probably right now we just overthink it and stress about it that we don't think we know are going to know but I am sure we will notice that something is different. Has you doctor talked about inducing at all? Mine hasn't talked about anything.

They had really good sales at Meryvns and Babies R Us. I know, I am getting really impatient too! I just can't wait. I don't have a bag ready yet. Do you? What all are you going to put in it. So when is your next doc app? I am excited to see if you have dilated or anything. Mine is this Monday so hopefully I will!!!!! So tomorrow is one of my showers and I am so excited. I know what you mean about a shoe fetish. We have problems. But at least our baby girls will be in style huh!! Well only 14 more days of work! Woo Hoo!
