FOR THE LAST TIME!!

5th OCTOBER, 07

Okay since i have lost all information on my page i will start again. I am 20 weeks and 6 days pregnant today. This is my fourth baby but sixth pregnancy. My first m/c was in 2000 and i was 6 weeks. My second was in January 07 and i was 11 weeks. I was due for AF to visit on 1st June and she didn't come. I waited until the next afternoon and still no sign. As soon as i am l8 i know i am pregnant as my body cycle is always spot on. So i went and brought a test. I tested at about 3:30ish that afternoon and straight away got a +. My partner was asleep as he had been out the night b4 and when he woke up i told him i was pregnant. He was like "how did that happen?" Seriously if he doesn't know by now i dunno if he ever will, lol.

So we went for our routine scan on 24 September and i was 19 and 2 days. We wanted to find out the sex, so our daughter asked the tech if the " babies legs were crossed?" After she did all the technical important stuff, she had a look, but to my daughters dismay, babies legs were crossed. She tried moving things around with the wand but no way was bub co operating. Now it looks as though our last baby will be a surprise.

20th OCTOBER, 07

So i am 23 weeks today. My kids and i are sitting at home a little bored. Luke (daddy) is at work until 5pm so weekends are always a bit bland when we are home alone. Bubby is really active through the days and i hope this is the sleep pattern we have when he/she is born 'cos it is sooo hard trying to shift the bub from being awake alot at night to being awake more through the day so you can at least get some sleep at night. We are starting to buy some clothes (although for some reason it has been so hard to find nice unisex clothes) We are getting a cradle to start with this time around as all my other kiddies went into our cot but i am over that cot. Hopefully we will get a few months out of a cradle then maybe a portacot so when we go away that will be convenient for then as well. So even though i still have 17 weeks or so to go, i have been thinking about labour, i am interested in a home birth but i don't now how much it would cost for us to go that way, and i worry too much at the possibility of something going wrong. It would probably be too disturbing for my other children to see/hear me in that much pain so i guess it'll be the hospital again. At least if baby is feeding and passing urine etc i don't have to stay in too long, although maybe with 3 other kiddies i might enjoy a small rest ( as much as you can rest with a new bub, lol) Well i'll put in another update after my clinic appointment on 23rd October. I hope all is well with everyone!!!

23rd OCTOBER, 07

Today i went to my clinic appointment. It was all good and didn't take long but the midwife measured the fundal height to be at 26 weeks. I am only 23 weeks and 3 days so either bub has had a growth spurt and will even out in the next few weeks or there is a possibility that i have developed Gestational Diabetes. I have had 3 kids and not had this before so when i have my bloods done at 28 weeks we will find out then. I so don't want it to be that but i have read that it is quite common and no doubt is manageable. Bubbies heart rate was 148bpm.

This stupid ticker is gone berko and is wrong but i can not delete it so please just ignore it!!
So now this ticker is normal again, what's going on???

14th NOVEMBER, 07

Well we are finally getting together more things for our new arrival, who i will say is getting very strong with his/her kicks and punches. My MIL picked up our cradle for us today and it is at her house until we can go get it. ( 2 and a half hours away) At least i have bubs bed now i was having a hard time finding a cradle i liked. We still have the cot we used with our other 3 kiddies but i'm over it now and it needs too much work done again. Well this being my last baby i am gonna try and not whinge about the pain of pregnancy but crap, my back hurts when i walk too far already and i am only 26 weeks and 4 days. I'm gonna know it further along, but it comes with the territory, and I LOVE ALL MY BABIES!! So next midwife appointment on 27th November, will update then. Hopefully they say i am still bigger for gestation age and give me another u/s. I still would love to find out the sex. My best friends mum had a dream that i had a lil girl and she was premature. I have had a gut feeling for a couple of weeks i'm having a girl but in the beginning i was sure bub is a boy. Can only wait and see, i love my baby either way!!

21st NOVEMBER, 2007

So today i went for routine 28 week blood tests, a little early. Not too exciting but will have the results this coming Tuesday at my next clinic appointment. Hope all is good. Well update will come after that appointment, till then, take care of yourselves and your bumps!!

27th NOVEMBER, 2007

Today i had my midwife clinic appointment. All is well with my little one and heart rate was 150bpm. The midwife couldn't find the results of my glucose test but i am assuming all is ok as today my fundus was 29cm and i am 28 weeks and3 days. Now i am guessing but if i did have gestational diabetes the size would have increased rather than evened out. So i am happy, a little tired but happy, lol.
On 29th November we are taking our 3 kiddies, (well 4 kiddies - bump too) camping. They are all looking forward to it, as am i and my hubby. I just hope that i don't get too uncomfortable roughing it a little for 4 nights. Luke is trying to take as much as possible to keep me comfortable, which is sweet of him. So i'm hoping to have a really good time.
So until the next update, take care everyone.

11th DECEMBER, 2007

So my family and i have had a very busy two weeks. We went camping for 3 nights ( i had enough, supposed to be 4 nights) It was great though and my 3 kiddies had some awesome one on one time with Luke (daddy) Then we came home for 3 or so days and then went to the in laws in Caboolture ( 2 and a half hr drive) We brought the babies cradle home from there so i am pleased about that. Luke is going to give it a new paint job and then it will be ready for bubs arrival. My mother in law bought some material and made some sheets and a quilt for bubby as his/her birth gift. They are great.
So today i went for my clinic appointment and baby is head down and heart rate was 160bpm. He/she was kicking the doppler and my 2nd daughter was quite interested, although she wasn't happy that we couldn't listen for longer, lol.
My next appointment was meant to be for 2 weeks but that's Christmas and then on Boxing Day we are going to the in laws again, so now it's for the following week.
I hope all is great with you all and i will catch you up again soon.

16th JANUARY, 2008

Well i haven't updated in ages. Yesterday was my midwife clinic appointment, all was great and baby's heartrate is quite steady again at 140 bpm. It is extremely hot here where i live in Queensland and i feel like i have no energy to do anything, lol. Today though i did mow some of our yard because we have had soooo much rain. It has made me quite tired so i should sleep well tonight. Although i will still have to get up for the toilet visits, that i am so over. I am thinking Luke can finish the mowing though, lol. So even though i am 35 and a half weeks, i can go back in 2 weeks to clinic instead of next week, because all is well. I do need to chase up blood test referral because the midwife had forgotten i think, and they are done at 36 weeks in Australia.
Well i am off to bed as i am tired now from looking at computer screen.
Take care all you mummies to be and ttc ladies.

WE HAVE A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE GIRL!!

OUR BIRTH STORY

On Friday the 15th February i went to bed at around 10pm. I was exhausted and fell asleep quickly. I then woke again at midnight as i was having more cramps as i had been having for a couple of days, similar to menstrual cramps. They weren't too painful so i thought it was just pre - labour and i tried to go back to bed. I couldn't get back to sleep so i thought i had better pack the last few things i needed "just in case" i was in labour. I was timing my contractions on the computer and they were averaging at every 4 minutes and for about 40 seconds. After an hour of this i woke my hubby and we got organised for hospital, dropped our kiddies off at a friends. Once admitted into the hospital we were taken to maternity. As it was a busy night the midwives were setting me up in my room to labour there for a while before going to the labour suite. As they were getting me settled they realised my baby was coming faster than they anticipated. We were taken straight to the labour suite then and i was monitored for baby's heart rate and contractions for 20 minutes. It was extremely hot in the birth suite so i got in the shower and because i was having back pain (for the first time in four births) i stayed there for an hour or more. The contractions were getting more intense and i could feel the pressure of the bag of waters, but they just wouldn't break. During one contraction i let out a bit of a grunt so the midwife asked me to get out and she would examine me. To my surprise i was 10cm dialated. She broke my waters and it took 16 minutes to push out my new little girl. The total labour was calculated at 3 hours and 1 minute.
Sarindi Ella Louise was born on her due date - 16th February, 2008.

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

No worries! My computer carked it the other week, so I've been off for a while. I understand, 4 little ones would make life busy. I'm flat out just with one! And trying for another one, sometimes I ask myself what I'm thinking! But seriously, I could keep having kids forever, they are so beautiful..

Hi everyone. I added some pics of Sierra. They're on the last two photo tabs. My friend is a photographer and got some nice shots at a little party that her grandparents through for her.
I'm back atwork and time is limited. Hubby is playing Mr. Mom these days. Sierra is doing well -- nearly sitting up, grabbing her feetsies, and *talking* up a storm.
Anyhoo. Gotta go. I hope you enjoy the pics.

Hi everyone! Aloha from Sierra. She had her 4-month Well Baby visit on Monday and weighed 13 pounds 9 ounces (50th percentile). She's long and lean at 23 1/2 inches (75th - 90th percentile) but has a peanut head (25th percentile). Overall, she's doing splendid.

We're on the plane right now - heading to California to see the family. It's rather exciting except that the oil filter on the plane has to be replaced so rather than revving the engines and taking off, we headed back to the gate for a repair. It's a little scary if you ask me and we've successfully missed our transfer flight. At least the kid is chill! So, if you hear about Flight 92 crashing, you'll know who was on it! I hope you all have a good day. We'll post some pics shortly. Dunno if I can do it from my cel. Tootles and Aloha! Jeni and Sierra

Hey, I was looking for other members who might live close by (I live in northern NSW) and I found your page. I love your profile picture! The style looks really familiar, is it from an old book called "Where Did I Come From?" That probably shows my age... I got it as a sex education book when I was in primary school! Anyway thought I would drop a line. Congratulations on your little girl.
