June 9, 2008- So today was our BIG ultrasound!! And we are having a GIRL!!!! I'm so excited to finally know that it is little Lila Ann Barr in my tummy!! She is perfect and healthy and it just made me bawl like a big baby knowing she was doing just perfect!! It was like a huge relief! She was weighing 11ounces already! So she must be eating just as well as I am LOL! My husband is just as excited and he was crying too! He is gonna be in so much trouble though because he is such a softy, ESPECIALLY for little girls and now that it is our own he is gonna be sooooo wrapped around her little finger!! Now I just can't wait to meet her and hold her!!! It seems like a long ways away! I go Monday now just for my regular check up to see how much weight I've gained EEK! And all that other good stuff! No more ultrasounds though :(

May 14, 2008- So today I had my next doctor appointment and all is well with me! The doctor said that my "weight gain is phenomonal" and that all looks good. When she was trying to get the heart beat the baby kept squirming around for her! Then she told me the worst news!! That she is pregnant and due the same day as me!!! I am devasted! Because she most likely won't be the one to deliver my baby and I love her so much and SOOO badly want her to be the one to deliver my baby! She said that she will introduce me to some of her collegues closer to the end but I'm soooo upset about this!! Of course I'm happy for her but I'm sad for me :( She says there is still a chance that she will be able to deliver me because she plans on working until the very end she said until her water breaks or she is in labor. She also said that her kids never come ontime but I'm thinking to myself that most 1st time moms don't deliver on time either so I probably won't deliver before her!!

April 16, 2008- Well today I got to see little Baby again!! Ultrasounds are just so amazing! Watching your little one inside you just makes me soooo happy!! We have such an active little one!! I love it. On Saturday Baby was sucking it's thumb and everything and it was sooo cute. The ultrasound guy on Saturday said if he had to guess now he would guess that we were having a boy. Well during today's ultrasound we told the lady that he said that and she said she thinks it's a girl. And the people in the doctors office were saying that these ladies are pretty right on about guessing this stuff because this is all they do all day long is look at baby's (Because it was in the Maternal Fetal Care Center) when the guy from the ER is just a general Ultrasound guy who does all different types of ultrasounds. Today our baby was doing a headstand for a while that's how the lady got to see between the legs but it was soooo funny to watch! The baby wouldn't cooperate with the lady and kept moving around and wouldn't go in the right position for her to be able to measure the skin on the back of the neck so they had me go empty my bladder and then I came back from the bathroom and was waiting for the ultrasound lady to come back well when she did the baby was laying on it's face and it was taking a nap! It's legs were just dangling over the edge! I was cracking up at the baby. (That picture is up in my photos) but that's how it was taking it's nap! It was perfect for the ultrasound tech though to measure the back of the neck so hey! I love our little one so much!! I can't wait to hold them in my arms!! It was a really good day!

April 12, 2008- Today I had a little scare...I woke up and saw a spot of blood and had a tiny bit of spotty it was light brown light so I immediately went to the ER and they did all different tests and everything was fine! Praise God! The did an abdominal and vaginal ultrasound to check all different views and the baby was SOOOO Active. The Ultrasound guy was getting kind of annoyed because he's like I can't get a good picture because the baby won't stop moving around and I was like well I'm glad that they are moving around!! The heartbeat was good and strong at 168. There was all the right amounts of fluids and blood flow to the baby and they just don't know why I was spotting. They didn't see any active bleeding and my cervix was closed so they just don't know. I haven't had any spotting since then either so they just told me that Monday morning I should call my doctor and follow up with them and until I am cleared by the doctor I shouldn't have sex or anything...So I guess we will have to wait til Monday to find out more...I'm just happy that everything is ok!! I still listen to the heart all the time on the doppler and it's still going strong as can be and I swear it gets louder and louder each day!

April 7, 2008- Well today I had my first OB appt and all is well with me and baby! Baby's heartbeat was 160-164 loud and strong! I've only gained 3lbs since my pre-natal teaching on March 10 so I'm doing good at not blowing up LOL! Glad to have the reassurance that everything is going well! Now I just can't wait until next week Wednesday when we get our first ultrasound!! I cannot wait to see Baby!!
