12/21/2007 (35weeks along):

I had a huge wake up call today. There were 3 of us girls at my work that were all pregnant at one time and all happened to be one month apart (me being the last one due in January). Well, today I am the only one of the bunch that's waiting to 'pop'. The other girl had her baby THIS MORNING! I only have a month to go and I can't believe how fast time is FLYING by! I'm going to be a mom. I'm going to be a MOM! This is the most exciting time in my life and it's not going to end any time soon. There's still so much to look forward to. Talking, walking, laughing. . . I can't believe it! I feel so blessed.

(32 weeks along):

Well, we're getting closer!! I can't believe we're going to be parents!! Our first child and we're blessed to be having a baby boy. I'm currently at the 32 week mark and feeling him get stronger and stronger every day. I can't wait to be able to see his little face and hold his little hand.

A current picture of my belly (At the dr's waiting patiently =)

I think I'm around the 5 month mark here.

How far along are you:

33 weeks!

Cravings so far:

Nothing too crazy so far. I did order french fries with my pasta one time at a nice restaurant.

Things that make you sick:

When I first got preggo I would get sick when I didn't eat breakfast. Now when I eat really bad-for-you foods I get a bad tummy ache.

Boy or girl:

Beautiful Baby Boy!!

Baby’s name:

Ethan Scott

Advice for other pregnant women:

Be happy and remember: this is YOUR experience not anyone else's. You know what's best for you and your family. Listen to advice because knowledge truly is power!

Baby Daddy:

Is the best part of my life and makes me soo happy. I am so proud he is going to be the father of my child.

His reaction:

Surprised me! I was expecting him to be scared and have to think about a decision but he was so excited!

Greatest memory so far:

Oh boy, just one? How 'bout 3! Finding out I was pregnant, seeing our baby for the first time on the ultrasound machine (which was such an amazing experience, words could not explain) and feeling him move. I can't believe this is only the beginning!

Biggest fear:

Please, PLEASE let me have a healthy baby boy. PLEASE!

Strange symptoms:

Cramping in my lower tummy which turned out to be me STRETCHING. That was weird.

Advantages of being pregnant:

Having a baby!

Weird dreams:

Oh I've had a few. I dreamt that I was going to have a 9lb 2oz baby. . . oh boy!!

Emotional outbursts:

Poor Sam. He's had the worst of it so sar. I've only had a couple bad one's so far but he's taking it like a champ =)

Breast changes:

Ok so far. I know that'll change when I give birth.

Waist changes:

I've gained 22lbs so far and only have a little over a month to go. I think I'm going good so far, I feel great so that's good.

Things you quit for baby:

Partying, drinking, smoking. . . all the stuff I shouldn't be doing anyway.

Most uncomfortable time:

Just recently my back has been KILLING me at night. Nothing is working and he's only getting bigger!!

Worst part of being pregnant:

The back pain and tummy aches.

Best place for maternity clothes:

I have only been to Motherhood so far. I don't want to do too much maternity shopping, I'll be done pretty soon and *hopefully* be back down to my original size and won't need them until I'm preggo again

Taking parenting classes:

I want to take them but I can't find any that work around my work schedule. I'm going to try taking them when I go on maternity leave. I'll have all the time in the world!

Pregnancy necessities:

My husbands wife-beaters (so comfy!), stretch jeans with the band for the belly to grow and my comfy couch.

Grandparents reaction:

So proud!

Aunts? Uncles?:

Excited to meet their new nephew

Godparents:

None

Where will you deliver:

Kaiser Labor and Delivery right down the street from our house!

When:

January 20th!

Will you breastfeed:

Of course! Who wouldn’t? With all the nutrition it’ll give him and the calories I will burn while sitting on my bottom, I am going to give it a true and honest effort.

Will you use cloth diapers:

No

Well, we `re due in 2 days and I just had a dr. appointment today. Nothing has changed since last week `s doctor appointment. I was 2 cm dilated, 50% effaced and -1 station. This week everything `s the same except I am a little more effaced. By about 10%. No matter what we will be having a baby be the 3rd of February so that `s a plus! It sure feels like I `m going to be pregnant forever though.

Sunday, 20 Jan

Today `s the due date! We had a little scare yesterday morning. I thought that my water broke. I called labor and delivery and they said that what I was experiencing can happen up to 2 weeks in advance. All we want is a healthy and happy baby. Being patient is something I think I can do =) Wish us luck!

Few, I am so ready to have this little baby! Our due date WAS yesterday (so strange that 9 months has passed so quickly). Sam (my husband) is ready to meet his son and it is the sweetest thing I have ever seen! He put his head on my belly this morning and told Ethan that it was time to come out. Not only is it sucha gift that we are having a child, it is also amazing to see this side of the man I love. We did a lot of walking today (Target to get a breast pump and to a school with Sam `s sister) we were hoping that it might do some good. I just think it was great to get some fresh air and out of the house. The anticipation of it all is the worst! We had a feeling he would be over-due. . .

Tuesday, 22 Jan

P.S. I don `t know why that blog above says that I wrote it on the 22nd, I wrote it on the 21st. . . just wanted to clear that up =)

Tuesday, 22 Jan

Well, I woke up at 4 this morning feeling like I had really intense gas pains and soon realized that they were contractions. I also had more of a bloody show then the other day. The nurse at labor and delivery told me that I need to wait to come until my contractions are 5 min apart for 1-2 HOURS. Holy Moly!! Contractions are NOT any fun and I can `t even emagine what `s to come. . .
