hey everyone- I started this page last year when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter. I got to know a bunch of great different people and have really enjoyed sharing our experiences. My daughter will be 8 months on March 22. I can't believe it!! Liliana is my life and I could not imagine a day without her..she is trying to pull herself up to stand and not to sure on how to crawl yet. But she loves saying "buhbuh" (byebye) while she waves at herself it is so cute. She will also give kisses mainly to her 6 month old cousin. Well on 3/13/07 I was about to call my midwife to ask if I could get a stronger birth control pill because I am no longer breastfeeding. I hadn't gotten my period though so thought I will just take a hpt to double check and then give her a call. Well much to my surprise it was a big dark fast POSITIVE! I didn't even think to look at it while I brushed my teeth and wash my face but out of the corner of my eye I saw it and thought WHAT...it isn't suppose to look like that. Well I stayed in the bathroom for a good 10mins crying my eyes out I can't believe this is happening now my daughter isn't even 8 months old. I am still in complete shock but know I will be able to handle this and I will be ok but boy what a shock! I have no idea when I am due or how far I am..I was sick last month and thought it was a stomach bug but maybe it was morning sickness? Well time to call the midwife for prenatal vitamins and not birth control.. My first appointment will be on March 26th they didn't seem to get when I called that I was breastfeeding and don't know when my last period was..so hopefully they will be able to tell me how far along I am.

So today I had my first appointment with my midwife. I got asked about 5 time when my last period was which got more annoying everytime. Its almost like they thought it was a big secret! Sorry I have been so moody these days everything gets me going. Well she said my uterus was enlarged and she thinks I am still in the 1st trimester. Then she said we will look for a heartbeat and if you are further then 9wks we should be able to hear it. If not then they will check my hcg level when they draw my blood. But she put the doppler and for a second nothing then there is was a very strong 146bpm. It will be interesting to see if it is another girl...they are going to call the u/s place and let me know when my appt is but said it should be this week or the following but my midwife thinks I am between 10-12 wks based on the hb. If that is true I should be due somewhere between 10/3-10/23 I will keep you posted when get my u/s!

So I had my ultrasound on Tuesday April 1st and found out I am due on the 1st of October. I told my mom and best friend that I was pregnant and neither of them believed me because it was April Fools Day!!! My mom knows I am not joking I showed her the u/s although my friend still does not believe me which I think is so funny. This pregnancy is going to fly by..I basically missed the first trimester and Liliana keeps me very busy. By around 3pm I am ready for bed haha. Liliana is doing the injured army guy crawl it is so funny..she is also very into saying "dada" I say what about me and she just laughs at me...she thinks I am the funniest person ever anything I do she basically cracks up in laughter. My next u/s will be April 29th..I will keep you updated have to clean up the kitchen now and get ready for work =(

It is just about 3am and I can't sleep after tossing and turning for what felt like forever though I would come on here to see if I can get myself sleepy. Today(well yesterday 5/21) I had a regular check up and everything looked great baby had a 156hb. All the u/s scans look great! I can't believe it is 5/22 already and my baby girl is 10 months old today. Just two months away from being a year old. She is so full of life, I watch her with such amazement everyday. Liliana is currently in to anything and everything she can be. I am guessing within a few weeks she will really be walking which scares me but excites me at the sametime. Then I will really know how big she is and that she needs me less then she did...agh pregnancy hormones!!! Later on today I plan on molding her handprint with this clay picture frame I have. We have an ornament from when she was about 6 months. Also I need to start ordering birthday supplies! We are going to have a winnie the pooh theme cookout with a little pool, chalk, bubbles, and lots of laughs I hope. Knowing me with my hormones I can see myself in tears in shock that wow she is 1 already! I hope it is great though and she has a blast that is what is most important.

Hi Everyone-

I am a 22 year old full time student and I work two jobs. My boyfriend and I have been together for two and half years. He is a great guy I am very lucky to have him. This pregnancy was not planned at all it was a very big shock. I was at my sisters and brother-in-laws just hanging out with a few of us family and close friends and when I took of my jacket my sister, and two family friends commented about my boobs right away. They asked why they looked so big and joked about me stuffing my bra. I am normally larger chested then many but after they said this I figured out in my head that I was about a day or two late. Well I ended up not drinking anymore that night cause it was on my mind four days later I still had no period but a very positive hpt. I am now in my 12th week and finally starting to be able to eat more then pasta. =)

I am 12 weeks and 4 days today and had my second doctors appointment at 1pm. They just got a urine sample, took my weight and blood pressure. Which I am so happy I haven't gained any weight. We got to listen to heartbeat which the little peanut moved right when she found it but she found it again its a strong heartbeat at 160. My midwife just wants me to make sure with any sign of bleeding that I call right away and get into the office cause my blood is A negative and I need a shot if I start bleeding.

UPDATE:

I had an appointment on January 30th which my boyfriend and mother both came with me. My mom was happy to hear the heartbeat..it was so much louder and clear then Jan. 3rd. The heartbeat was 130bpm which at first scared me because on 1/3/07 it was 160bpm so I asked my midwife and she laughed and said "last time it was a girl and now it is a boy" then said not to worry the baby is most likely just resting..as long as the baby is healthy then I am happy. My first and I believe only ultrasound will be 2/16/07 at 3pm I CAN'T WAIT!!! My mom will also be coming with my boyfriend and I. A little part of me wants to find out the sex but we both would rather just wait until the big day. I want the theme to be Winnie the Pooh anyways so that will go either way. Well that is all for now but I will be sure to post after the u/s and let everyone know how it went.

Feb. 16th- Today I am 18weeks and 6 days pregnant and I had my first and only ultrasound everything looked great! The little peanut is measuring just right and I didn't find out the sex. The heartbeat was 155bpm and the little peanut kept covering it's face with its hands..so cute!! The tech printed out 6 pictures for me to take home and one for the proud grandma that started crying with joy =)

This appointment was the longest...I have been sick with a cold and have a horrible cough so my midwife wants me on an antibiotic. The other big thing was my back pain..it feels like my tail bone is splitting in half. She said that it should be gone soon but if not I might have to take physical therapy. The hard part for me is I might have to be leaving one of my jobs soon-I work at a carwash drying off the cars as the exit the wash. I have been doing this for about 7 years but you are on your feet all day drying off cars so it is a lot on your arms and back anyways pregnant even worse. I was hoping to stay until the middle or end of May but looks like it will have to be the middle or end of April. The midwife said that she wants to see me in two weeks instead of waiting for four weeks because how sick I am. So hopefully my next appt. I will be completely healthy and wont need to get physical therapy.

I am currently 30wks 5days pregnant and today I had my doctors appt. I have gained a total of 19 pounds. The heartbeat was 132bpm...I can't wait to get to meet my little one and find out the sex!!! The head is down and the butt is right under my left side of my ribs. I did not need to get a pelvic exam today which was nice. I needed one my last appt. 4/26 during my 28wk cause she noticed my contraction lasting pretty long but luckily my cervix was closed. Today was what made me realize how close I am to having this little one in my arms. I got asked about the birth if I want to go natural,epidural..I told her that I would like to go natural but I don't see that happening. I have seen women get epidurals and I would like to try and avoid it if possible. I told her I would like medication through an I.V. if possible but at the time I will probably want the epidural lol with all that pain. Then I got ask if I will be breastfeeding which I would like to try hopefully the baby and I can both handle it. I had to say if its a boy if I would like a circumsision(sp???) which I do because of all the infections from not having one done. Then the next two questions were if I have a carseat yet and a ped. for the baby. That was like WOW!! I AM SO CLOSE. I don't actually have the carseat but someone got it for me off my registry and I have to start calling doctors and seeing who I would like. I feel like I am starting to get overwhelmed so much to get done in such little time. Well that is all for now on my update I have to take the dogs to the vet now...hope everyone is doing well and the heat hasn't gotten to bad yet.

I just got back from my midwife. She is guessing that I am going to have a big baby and go early. I have been contracting a lot since about 24 weeks I think. The baby is head down with its back on my right side with a strong hb 138-146. I will be meeting with a doctor for the baby in about two weeks which the doctor will come and check on the baby while we are in the hospital. I can't believe how close it is getting! My sister threw me an awesome baby shower this past Sunday and I got everything just a few more things I need to get well that I want to get. Today is my day off and I am using it to wash all the bedding, blankets and clothes never noticed how much there was.

Today I had my 34wk check up with my midwife. She did a pelvic exam to check on my cervix and I was so happy to hear it is closed, long and thick!!! Best news- I have been having a lot of cramping and pressure with contractions so I was getting nervous. The heartbeat was 136-138bpm and the cramping on my left side is the baby pulling on that side more. I made all of the rest of my appointments today and after my next one I go every week until the big day comes!! We also have picked a doctor for the baby she is great =) I got to meet and talk to her today and I am very glad with who we have picked she is very easy to talk to and very outgoing.

So I am currently 38+2 wks pregnant and can't wait to get to meet this little one. So far no change in anything although this weekend I started to feel more pelvic pressure and on 6/28 my last appt. the baby's head was far down so hopefully I have started to dialate! I go in on 7/5 at 11am for an ultrasound to check the size of this baby because they believe it is on the larger side. The same day I have my weekly appointment at 2pm so I am hoping I have some good news...the midwife I normally see said that if it is infact measuring large then we will see my options. I will be seeing a different midwife since my regular one in on vacation. I would be so happy if I was progressing just to hear something...and if not that they want to induce me. I can't wait I am getting so excited I want to finally see what the baby is...boy or girl the eyes everything! I am sure everyone else is thinking the same well good luck ladies its getting closer =) Congrats to all the new mommies that already got to meet their little ones.

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!

I had my baby girl, Liliana Marie on July 22, 2007 and it was a very hard long labor to get her here but it was well worth it. She weighed 7lbs 9.4oz and 21.5 inch. and looks just like her daddy!!

On Friday morning I woke up feeling very crampy so I called in and took the day off, it was my last day watching the two boys I watch. I wasn't in pain just uncomfortable so I took a hot shower and then had a nap and felt better. Then Friday night between 7-8pm the contractions were there and coming closer and then spreading out. I was sick of being in the house all day so I went over my sisters to kill sometime. From 2am-10am I started having contractions that were 7-9 mins apart and they were strong, I would try to sleep but with each one I would wake in pain. So finally I called into the hospital and spoke with the midwife on call and she said I am in early labor and to wait until they are 5 mins apart for an hour or so but to check in after a couple of hours. So I just lied in bed trying to deal with the pain that was nothing like I had thought it would be. Damian stayed home so that he was close to me when it all happened. He did yard work and stuff to keep busy it was really hard for him to see me in pain and not be able to do anything. At somewhere around 2pm Damian came up to check on me and found me crying I shouldn't stop I couldn't believe the pain I was in and I knew they were close enough yet to go into the hospital right then my mom brought me the phone the midwife was calling to check on me and see how I was doing. She told me to come in and get checked cause I didn't sound like I was doing to well. Damian, my mom and I drive to the hospital which is only like 10-15mins away. We get there and they hook me up to the monitors to make sure the heartbeat and everything was good and check the contractions. The midwife commented on how I am not having them now and then the nurse came in to check on me and said that they put the contraction monitor in the wrong place and then she moved it and there was my contractions!! She checked me and I was only 75% effaced and she gave me the option of walking around for two hours and then they will check me or go home for a few hours and wait it out. I picked the walking around for a bit and after two hours she checked and I was 95% effaced...they didn't like the baby's heart rate though so they made me eat a popsicle and it went up so the midwife sent me home and said to call the other midwife that was on call at 10pm and if I was still not sleeping or able to check to come in and they would give me meds cause I would need to get some sleep. The last time I had anything to eat was Friday night around 6pm. So I got home around 6pm on Saturday and went back to my bed trying to deal with these and just kept telling myself only a couple more hours. Well at 8pm my mom called the hospital I could not stop throwing up, shaking and dripping from the sweet I kept feeling like I was going to hit the floor. They said for me to come in I am dehydrated and need an IV so I get there around 9pm and get checked at 10pm and I am 4cm dialated. They gave me an IV, nausea medication and a pain medication that made me feel drunk. The pain medication lasted two hours and from midnight-1am I had nothing and was 6cm dialated. At 1am I finally got some relief my epidural!!! After my epidural was in my monitors started going off my blood pressure kept dropping. The nurses had to keep coming in and changing my position to try and fix my blood pressure but I got to sleep from about 1am-6am and then got told that my midwife was coming in at 7am. What a relief is was to know that it was someone I knew...she checked me at 7:15am and I was fully dialated and broke my water. They told Damian, my mom and sister to go get something to eat it was going to be about 2 hours until they started getting me ready to push. Well they took there time and got back at about 8:15am to find me crying I was feeling so much pressure and my temp jumped up to 100.7 also with my blood pressure still not being a good number. At 8:30am I started pushing during all of the pushing the midwife mentioned that they may need to go and get the doctor to use the vaccum because the baby was not coming down but after pushing for 2 hours and 5 mins my baby girl was born!!! She was sunny side up (the found out during an ultrasound) so her head got bruised pretty badly. Everyone got to hold her and I just watched..I was so weak at this time after being in labor since Friday night and not eating anything and throwing up so much but it was worth it in the end to look at my beautiful little girl. I also did have to get stiches because I tore and after having her I needed to have another cathader put in because I could not pee...finally sunday night I was able too. I haven't taken or needed any medication since then. Liliana has a bump on her head from her turning a little to late and she is jandice (sp??). We actually have an appointment today to check on it. I am breastfeeding her but we are also giving her formula trying to help get her system going. So far I am very lucky she is a big sleeper. I have to wake her up to feed her and then she passes out after a good burp and a new diaper. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying there bundle of joys.

It's been a long time since I have had time to write anything. I still can't believe I am a mommy!! Liliana Marie is awesome makes me laugh everyday and want to cry atleast once a week =) She will be 5 months three days before christmas. At her 4 month appointment she weighed 15lbs 2.5oz.(75%) and 26 1/4 in.(90%). She is getting so big...she eats rice twice a day now and has tried pears(not a big fan ) and squash (she LOVES!!). As of now she rolls over, eats her feet, bounces in her exer saucer and screams so loud but I am sooooo lucky to have her and could not imagine a day without her.
