Hello...

My name is Caitlin and I just turned 21 on Thanksgiving 2006. I was born and raised in Mililani, Hawaii. My boyfriends name is Israel (Izzy for short) and he is 22. He is originally from Kenosha, Wisconsin, but moved to Hawaii in January 2006. He and I have been together since April 2, 2006. I am pregnant with our first child who is due on September 18, 2007. I have definitely been feeling the effects of pregnacy!!! I have had morning sickness all day, every day since I was 6 weeks pregnant. Although this sick stage of pregnancy can be really frustrating, I am very excited for what is ahead of me!!! If you have any advice you would like to share with me about anything dealing with pregnancy and/or parenting I'd really appreciate it. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Are you excited about the birth, or scared?:	I've had my moments where I've been excited and scared. After going to Lamaze, I feel more excited than anything. I've waited 35 weeks already, I cant wait to hold her in my arms in another 5!!!

Well I decided to update my page, and I realize...it sucks scrolling through SO MUCH of my past journals to get to the new one, so I deleted everything. I still have all my pictures and stuff, and I know what happened, when it happened, so thats all that matters.

Anyway, today I am 24 weeks pregnant, and I only have 16 more weeks to go! Tomorrow is my doctors appointment and I cannot wait! I always look forward to getting on the scale, and pregnancy will probably be thee only time I ever say that. At my last appointment (4 weeks ago) I gained a total of 6 pounds since January. I know I gained A LOT more these past couple weeks. Everything has been going just fine. I have been feeling good except for a little back pain and rib pain every now and then. I have been REALLY hot, living in Hawaii with very humid weather. I am miserable in the heat, but other than that I am doing just fine. I plan to do a 3D ultrasound sometime in June. Until then...here are some pictures of me tonight!

I am 26 weeks today and I feel it! For the past few days my baby has been moving around a lot more, and kicking a lot harder. I can feel her stretch too. It's a weird feeling, but I love it! From my last doctors appointment (2 weeks ago) I have gained a total of 15 pounds. I feel like that is too much weight to gain, but as long as my baby is healthy, I don't care. I can only imagine how much I weigh NOW!

Tomorrow I have an appointment to get my 3d/4d ultrasound. I am so excited...I haven't seen her since I was 18 weeks. That's just TORTURE for a mother, right?!?!?! Well I feel like I got a lot bigger since 2 weeks ago, but I don't really know. My mom says I'm getting huge. I don't care how big I get, as long as I stay..."cute pregnant" and not big belly EVERYWHERE pregnant. Isn't that every girls dream? I'll be back tomorrow (I'm sure!) to post pictures of my daughter.

I only have 14 more weeks to go. A big milestone for me was passing the 3-digit countdown. I am now less than 100 days away from being a mommy! I am getting really excited. I still only have ONE OUTFIT that I bought my daughter...and that's it! Everyone is telling me to wait till my baby shower. It's so hard to not buy everything I see in the stores!

Today was my appointment at First Look Sonogram. It was such an unbelievable experience. They make it feel so homey. The bed was a lot more comfortable than my bed! And the lighting was perfect. I was so comfortable. Anyway...I am so happy with the way things turned out. I got a bunch of goodies and a lot of pictures! The DVD is awesome because I have 10 minutes of footage from the session. Everything my baby was doing, I can watch over and over and over again. She is a happy baby...wouldn't stop smiling. I love it! The technician said that she looks very healthy. Her heartbeat is 160bpm *she said thats perfectly normal* The only thing I was worried about is when she measured her femur. It was 1 week smaller than normal. But the technician said not to worry because Latinos (my bf is full Mexican) tend to have shorter femurs than most people, so she is fine. I can't wait for her to get bigger! I have another appointment with them in 5 weeks (31 weeks pregnant). I cannot wait.

I also met with a pediatrician today (he was mine for a period of time when I was a baby, and he is my niece and nephews doctor). I am so happy that I found one. It was easy because my parents know him, my brother and sister-in-law like him, and he is very easy to talk to. I can finally start filling out paperwork to pre-register for the hospital where I will be giving birth. Things are finally start to come together...and it's hitting me that it's getting pretty close.

Hello week 27, goodbye second trimester. I am so excited that the days are just going by so quickly now. I am still unsure if I am in my 3rd trimester yet or not. This website says yes, another says no, my book says no. Oh well...I'm happy either way! I found myself crying the other night just looking at my daughters face because its such a surreal feeling. Only pregnant women can truly understand! I love my daughter so much and I haven't even met her yet. I know I say it all the time, but I really cannot wait to hold her in my arms. I have nothing new to update on, my next appointment (28 weeks) will be next week Wednesday (June 27). Until then, here is my 27 week picture. It's kinda blurry, but oh well...look at how big im getting!

Well good evening!!! Today I had my 28 week check up and everything looks fine. Baby has a strong heart beat and everything seems to be measuring out just fine! I was bummed when I stepped on the scale because she had to use move the BIG BLOCK (the 150 one). It's ok though because I love my pregnant belly! It's sexy!!!

I was very excited when I was done with my appointment because my doctor said "i'll see you in TWO weeks." That's right people...every 2 weeks, for the next 6 weeks. Hopefully that'll make time go by faster.

I was so spoiled today. My mom and I went to my doctors appointment (since my bf can't go with me, my mom is my support!) and then we had lunch. After lunch we went to get me some more maternity clothes because I don't have enough. I love the stuff I got!!! We then went to look at cribs, but I didn't like any. So I had a frostie :) Then we went to look at more cribs..but NO WAY am I gonna spend $700 on a crib. No way! So then my mom and I went to get our nails done. It felt so nice to have someone pamper me. I just sat in that chair while the lady rubbed my legs and painted my toes really pretty and gave me a manicure with an arm/hand massage. I almsot fell asleep!!! Us pregnant girls should get pampered like that ALLLLLLL THE TIME!!!

Well today I am 31 weeks and 1 day pregnant. Two months from TODAY my baby should be here. I cannot wait! I just got home from my 3d/4d ultrasound again and she has gotten so much bigger from the last time (5 weeks ago). Everyone thinks she looks just like me...but I see my bf in her too. I love her so much and I cannot wait to hold her in my hands!

My friends are finishing up the invitations to my baby shower which is in 1 month. I cant wait for that either. Things are finally starting to come together and starting to be REAL!

Today I am 32 weeks and 3 days! I cant believe how fast the past few weeks have gone by. But unfortunately, every day seems to be going by a lot slower now. I started my childbirth class on Wednesday and it was long and boring. I've experienced births before and I read a lot of I try to inform myself of everything, so it was all pretty redundant information for the first class. Next week we will be doing floor exercises and breathing techniques, so hopefully it'll be better.

I have been suffering lately because none of my bras fit anymore. I bought a few maybe...2 months ago and those dont fit. None of my "sleeping" bras fit, but I wear them anyway. I really need to buy new bras, but I don't remember when I'm supposed to start buying nursing bras. The lady at motherhood maternity told me to wait till...I dont even remember...but I don't wanna wait anymore. I need bras now!

Well the next 7 weeks will be very busy...got appointments every wednesday till I give birth. My baby shower is in 3 weeks and I cant wait! Once I have the shower, I'll be able to set up the baby crib...Hawaiian superstition...bad vibes if you set up the crib too early. I cant wait!!!

Wow! I have not updated this page in 5 weeks! Today I am 37 weeks and 1 day and I had my doctors appointment this morning. I was nervous because of the Group B Strep Test, and that was UNCOMFORTABLE. Don't know the results yet, but I hope its negative. Today was also the first day that I had an internal exam (minus the FIRST exam when I found out I was pregnant). I always heard that being checked for dilation/effacement was sore, but I didn't think it would be THAT bad. I couldnt believe it! But I got through it and the doctor told me that I am 1 centimeter dilated so far. I'm thinking that my baby is gonna be here by next weekend, but we shall see. My va-jay-jay feels bruised now...there is A LOT of pressure because my babys head is down so low. I'm still "thick" according to the doctor, so hopefully things will start to speed up in the next few days. I can't wait to see my baby girl! My next appointment is on September 5.
