My name is Christy and I have been married to my husband Cameron for almost 2 years. We are so thrilled to be pregnant with our first baby and are due around the 30th of October, which just happens to be the same week as our wedding anniversary! We are so excited (and a little nervous too!) :)

June 9th/08: We went for our anatomy u/s today and the baby wanted to show off about everything but the sex!!! So we came home with no news. She did comment that she didn't see any "external plumbing" that was obvious, but she also said time and time again "I just can't get a good look". So we are a little dissapointed, but she said everything else looks good and healthy, so essentially that is all that matters....the heartbeat was 162 this time....156 the last 2 times before that. The little fart had the hiccups during the ultrasound, which was way too cute :)

that is indeed the little worm..he's been extra squirmy this week..he is getting his 1 yr molars in and its a total nightmare. i wish he would be done teething by the time this baby gets here. .he won't be..so you still don't know the baby's gender??do you have any names picked out yet? we are struggling with boy names..he started out as brody..now he is aiden..

I have had the same pains in fact 2 weeks ago they got so bad it felt like I was being stabbed and it was coming in waves so I went to the ER come to find out all it was was ligament stretching and the baby was sitting in a postion where it was kicking on an old appendix scar and that irrated the scar tissue and ever since I have had those same period like cramps but my doc says as long as I don't start sotting or bleeding and dont start haveing back ache and shortness of breath then it is normal. Just yesterday I had lower cramping but after I went to the bathroom a few times, I felt better. This morning I woke up with a horrible pain in the middle of my stomach so after taking a few tums and then calling the nurse, she said it sounded like indigestion to her. It was getting nervous too but after I talked to her I felt relieved. I go back to the Dr. Tues. so I'll be reassured that everything is fine then. If it keeps up just give them a call. Hope you get to feeling better.

i would get the extra firm..even the firm will get broke in after awhile so the extra firm will give the baby more support for a longer time..i'm gonna have to buy another transitonal crib and mattress too..my little one will be 16 months when this baby is born and i don't think he will be ready to move to a toddler bed by then..he's a worm! he would be out of it as soon as i tried to put him in it

charlie horses got me down as well. I seem to get them around 5 in the morning and it's often in both legs at the same time. It's ridiculous and totally frustrating when it's 10 minutes before the alarm goes off. I have to stand on them, it's painful but gets rid of them faster for me. My doc says they're from lack of calcium. I'm pretty deliberate on getting my 3 servings a day and this still happens, at least twice a week. I haven't heard the water relation like some of the other girls said, but I've got that covered too. Just wanted to let you know that I'm there with you and my husband thinks I'm nuts as well! I like to think of the after pain as work out pain, sometimes I can even convince myself that I've just run a marathon-lol. Good luck!

I drink tons of water everyday and always have but I still get them, I think that I have had 4 in the past month where they wake me up! I hate it so much, I tell my husband try and massage it out and then as soon as he touches it I yell stop don't touch it and he's like well what do you want me to do and I'm like I don't know but think of something LOL and then he just thinks I'm crazy!

I get those cramps in the middle of the night too and I wake up screaming and scare the crap out of my husband, really the only thing you can do is drink lots of water and stay hydrated and make sure that you keep you legs up and rest them a lot

I get those cramps at times. Luckily none have been to bad yet, but when I was pregnant with my sons I had HORRIBLE ones in my feet and legs !! A couple were so bad I limped for days afterwards. Hope they get better for you.

I had horrible leg cramps like that when I was preggo with my son. They say to drink more water and get more potassium, like bananas.

I woke up the other day with cramps in both of my legs n I read that wen ur sleepin make sure to stretch throughout the nite to avoid those cramps. It dus help but sometimes I forget. Hope that helps god luck and congradulations!

I keep forgetting that u haven't found out what ur having yet. Well hopefully the baby will show itself the next time u go in. Ugh...i was suppose to have a doc. appointment tomorrow but i forgot and well i'm gonna have to miss this one. I'm visiting family in PA, 6 hours from my home. Don't think i'm gonna make that one. I just really thought it was on the 16th not tomorrow. Oh well. Thats my preggo mind for ya.

Why does ur sister want to wait to throw u a baby shower? Seems like a long time to wait for the things u need when the baby comes. But like u said its not like u can tell her when to throw it. I'm wondering when mine will be. My husband and i live 6 hours from all our family members so its not like it can be a surprise. I kinda have to help set a date. Plus i can't travel after a certain time otherwise if i go into early labor elsewhere the army won't pay for the birth. My husband said the same thing about not wanting to help with the registry but i gave him the guilt trip. I do kinda wish i asked my friend to go with us. We have no experience with children so had no idea what to pick out when it came to certain things. My friend has two kids already so she could have really helped. Oh well, i can always add to it later. I really do think i'll stick with Cadence Renee. We are already calling her Cadence now instead of her or she which is so cool. Since we bought a baby book, i'll look up middle names anyways.

I was told u were at 6 months wen ur 24 weeks cus they sed ur 5 months wen ur 20 weeks. But no month has a set number of weeks so I say 23 or 24 weeks is 6 months.

I depends if you use lunar months or calendar months really. If lunar its week 22 but lunar also makes pregnancy 10 months

So my husband and i finally did or registry. It was like pulling teeth trying to get him to come with me. Once he finally got there he had so much fun. I figured he would it was just a matter of pulling him away from his video game for a couple hours. We were going to wait to do the registry until the middle of July or so but he was leaving me for a month so we had to do it kinda early. Feels nice having it out of the way though. Anyways, so i though our name was official but my husband and mom want to change the middle name i had picked out. I really liked Cadence Renee but for some reason no one likes Renee. I thought it had a ring to it. So now i'm back to looking for a new middle name. The name i picked will probably stick though because i can't think of anything else and i really like it. Its just her middle name anyway. Ugh... men...oh and moms.
