Friday, February 15th:

Today, I finally told my mom that I'm pregnant. I've known for almost two weeks, but I hadn't told her yet because I wanted to do it in person. She actually took the news quite well, which surprised me a little. She even decided to take me shopping for maternity clothes! :) We went down the road to Motherhood Maternity and got tons of stuff. I cannot believe how many adorable outfits they have for pregnant women these days!! Has anyone else started shopping for maternity wear yet?

Tuesday, March 4th:

I had my first OB appt today... saw the little bean on U/S and got three pictures!! We could even see its heart flickering; it was so amazing! The doc adjusted my due date to Oct. 2nd 'cause I was measuring a little small, and my boyfriend is so thrilled since his birthday is Oct. 3rd. He's hoping we'll get lucky and the baby will be born on his b-day, also.

Thursday, March 13th:

So many changes in the last couple of months!

Some friends and I went camping at Inks Lake State Park earlier this week. We stayed Sunday night through Wednesday afternoon... went hiking, grilled over a campfire, golfed, etc. Any way, my boyfriend of 3 1/2 years finally proposed on Tuesday while we were golfing! I am so thrilled!! I cannot wait to get married and start this little family with him. We're not going to do a shotgun wedding or anything 'cause I think that's silly. We'll start some of the planning before the baby is born, but we won't actually get married until next spring some time. That'll give me time to lose the baby weight and just get used to having a child around.

Monday, April 21st:

My birth experience prediction:

What she senses for you
The day you deliver, outside will be overcast. Your baby will arrive at night. After a labor lasting approximately 2 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 6 pounds, 10 ounces, and will be 18-1/2 inches long. This child will have green eyes and some very fine hair.

But there is more. It is perfectly healthy and normal to want to look good, even during these interesting months! I sense you feel a little reluctant. Well, you're not being silly or shallow -- you're taking care of yourself. And I am happy that you are.

Saturday, May 3rd:

Well, we found out the sex of the baby yesterday. It's a boy!! My fiance is soooo happy; he wanted a boy so bad! We cannot wait to go shopping. YAY!!!

Monday, May 12th:

I finally got a job offer last week! It's a damn good thing that I'm not really showing yet, otherwise I would have been screwed in this job search dilemma. My fiance just got a job offer, as well, doing the same kind of work as me. It's kinda funny too 'cause neither of us are business majors (the jobs are with a mortgage company). I'm so thankful that everything is finally coming together, though. I graduate this upcoming Saturday, then we move into our new apartment in Dallas and start work right after Memorial Day. I was so afraid that I would have to move in with my mother and that I wouldn't find a job until after the baby comes... that would have been a nightmare! Not that my mom is hard to live with, but I like being independent, and I really don't want to depend on her for everything. All in all, the last few days have brought a big sigh of relief for me.

Will the baby have any siblings? How many?:	nope, he'll be the first!
Have you bought any baby things yet?:	tons! we have a crib, high chair, clothes, stroller, car seat, some toys, bottles, bibs... the list continues
What brand of diapers will you use?:	I don't know, haven't thought about it
Formula or Breastfeeding?:	breastfeeding mostly, but formula occasionally
Any days where you wish you weren't pregnant?:	sure, but I think every woman goes through that
Are you doing anything that makes you feel guilty?:	not really... I do each a lot of sugar, though... probably more than I should
Have you had any alcoholic drink during your pregnancy? If yes, how much?:	I had a few drinks before I knew that I was pregnant
Is there any one to help you with the baby after its born?:	yes! my fiance and my parents
What is the one thing you miss doing since you've gotten pregnant?:	I wish I could go on the rides at the water park and have a margarita
What is the first thing you'll do after the baby is born?:	SLEEP! (while the baby's in the hospital nursery)
Is the Daddy taking Paternity leave?:	yes, two weeks
What's the one thing you hate about being pregnant?:	not fitting into my normal clothes
