APRIL,27th,2008

Insuline resistance and a higher possibility to develope diabetes during pregnancy or in the long run ended up being my diagnosis.I have been prescribed a pill that will regulate this condition.I need to take it for a couple of months along with a strict diet and then keep taking it for 12 weeks into pregnancy.Apparently this will make the egg mature a lot more before it even gets fertilized.Therefor, stronger baby to survive the first trimester...taking in consideration that my insuline levels will be monitored more closely too.I just wish they listened to me the first time around when i suggested i thought i had gestational diabetes but then again past is past.I might need further testing just to rule out other complications. Not sure. I am writing my list of questions before i call the specialist again ;0)

APRIL,7th,2008

Wow,this appointment was great! I mean, whole blood work and ultrasound included with some diagnosis in advance of two things i didnt know i had and that explain symptoms that e-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y said were stress or my body healing from the miscarriages.I can't believe how mnay times they saw my uterus in the ultrasound and couldnt tell me two very obvious things but this is only the begining.I am not thrilled of how much blood i had to give for all that blood work but i still have some more blood to give this week and next monday! They also took blood from my husband. The approach of the doctor is very personal, not rush and he takes his time for everything and wants you to call him for A-N-Y questions.A-N-Y-T-I-M-E.No joke.He means it and made us repeat it three times. Some more serious testing will be done as soon as my first period starts but depending on the results of the tests already started, some of the upcoming ones might not be necessary and will be eliminated. Finally i feel i am in the right track with someone that is pro active and wants to know everything that is wrong related or not directly to the miscarriage so we can fix it or treat it.Next week after a couple of rounds of blood work again and as soon as i recover i will be back!

APRIL,2nd,2008

I went to my appointment with my family doc today and she cleared doupts in my mind about a few things in relation to the upcoming appointment with the IVF & genetics specialist.I also contacted my insurance provider to make sure in advance that all the lab procedures to be done in this major center is covered-and it is 100% covered.Of course as far as fertility treatments itself it is not but i don't know yet if i will need any of those treaments yet.I am also back at work because it keeps me sane to be busy and focused on a task rather than resting and wondering or overthinking things that i can not change ;0) I also got a third opinion from another specialist in regards of why i was sent so quick to a IVF & genetics center without previous lab work & they all agree i will be better taken care of with this specialist as they know specifically what to look for and how to fix it if major work is needed so i am now ready for my monday appointment!

MARCH,30th,2008

I got my appointment scheduled for April,7th with an specialist-I am very anxious to find out what is that keeps going wrong and focusing on the upcoming test, appointments & follow ups are keeping my mind at ease.I will update as the process unfolds.I hope everything keeps going well for everybody else ;0)

MARCH,26th,2008

I'm so happy things are moving along well for you!! Pretty soon you'll be getting that BFP!!
Everything is moving along nicely here, just found out today that I passed the Gestational Diabetes test!! Which is huge because I had it with Xander so I'm so glad I don't have to go through that agian. This little guy is being really easy on me- I'm huge but besides that I can't complain. I hope your preganancy goes as good as this one!!

I know what you mean about wishing for twins so you can get it over with. When I did IVF with ACE they put 2 in, but I only became pregnant with 1. I wanted twins too! I'll say a prayer for you and hope this works out for you guys!

Yeah, all of the pill-taking is probably annoying. But, it'll be worth it in the end=) I'm feeling really good- no nausea since 10 weeks, and I started really showing within the past couple of months. The first three months it was questionable as to whether or not I was fat or pregnant, but now everyone asks me when I'm due or if I'm pregnant. Frankly, I've gotten sick of it, so when they ask if I'm pregnant, I tell them no. Then they get this horrified look on their faces, and I can't help but laugh. People are so silly. I haven't been able to see my feet for a few weeks now=) I can tell why people call this the honeymoon stage: you feel really good, except for being tired, and you feel the baby kicking and moving all of the time. It's the best feeling in the world! I can't even describe it. Anyway, I'm glad that things are going okay with you- chin up, girl! You'll have that baby before you know it! Lots of love to you!

Hi there! We are moving right along here. Eli is crawling up on all 4's, clapping, dancing and pulling himself up ALL the time. Aaron now says "thank you" and "excuse me" without being coached. They are keeping me really busy. How are things going with you? I see your last update was back in April.

JennReedy - Saturday, 21 June
I know! Isn't it cute? How are you doing??

JennReedy - Sunday, 18 May
Nope, I haven't registered anywhere yet because we were waiting to find out the sex of the baby. Now that we know, we were at Target last night looking at clothes and bedding and stuff. I hate to sound cliche, but I really like the Classic Pooh stuff. I know everyone does that, but it's sooooooooo cute! and the blankets are so soft. I told my husband that I want to be a baby again=) And don't worry about complaining too much: you've had a hard time, and you deserve to let off some steam! I'm just really happy for you that they've found out what's going on. There's nothing worse than not knowing why things are happening. You've just got to keep on truckin'! Things will happen they way they're supposed to, and pretty soon you'll be holding your baby. I have faith! Talk to you soon, hon! xxx

I'm glad they've kind of figured out what's been going on with you- I'm sure it's quite a relief! How are you feeling taking all of those meds? I'm doing well- he's moving around quite a bit, but nothing too painful yet=) I know that everything is going to work out for you, and you're going to have your baby soon. I think about you and I'm praying for you, hon! Take care! xxx

Hi!!! How are things for you? Thank you so much for the mothers day wishes!!! We had a great day. My husband took my daughter to church with his mom, so I got to sleep in.... that was awesome!! Then we took our daughter Mabel to the Hands on Museum. They have an are for under 4 year olds. She had the best time. So, we got a lot of great pics. The we went and got food for dinner. It was really nice. We found out that we are having a boy. So, I need to start shopping. LOL. Everything I own is PINK. : ) I don't see any new updates on your page, so I assume all is gong as planned. Talk to you soon.

I know! My husband is thrilled he thinks that makes him more of a man- stupid boys... I'm really excited too- it really makes a lot of things easier for us. We've outgrown our townhouse but we don't want to sell it right now because they are in the process of renovating our neighborhood so if we can stick it out for another year we can make good money-- anyway we don't have an extra room for another nursery so I was really worried about it being a girl and her not getting a proper nursery- so now they can share a room. Like my son has EVER slept in his own bed anyway- he sleeps with me and I'm sure the next one will to. Thank God for the King Size bed :)

I always thought twins would be neat, but it's nice to have them separate just so you're in the baby stage longer. I'll miss the baby stage as they grow! My friends doc has twins and 2 others close in age and they said the 2 close in age is actually harder than the twins. I wouldn't know. I have 2 other friends that did IVF and both have twin boys.

Terah - Tuesday, 6 May
I always figured I'd be the woman running, doing aerobics and lifting light weights right up until my due date. I couldn't with my 1st because I was on bedrest for 1 1/2 months in my first trimester do to bleeding. So, I was too nervous to do anything like that. I had an incompentant cervix. With my 2nd after doing IVF and trying so hard. I was afraid to move! lol I went from running once a week, taebo twice a week, volleyball 3 times a week and weight lifting 2 times a week to doing NOTHING. I was just too scared. With my last pregnancy I hadn't gotten back into working out before I got pregnant again (I was gonna wait until I was done breastfeeding and just focus all my time on my baby). Since you're not supposed to start a workout rountine while you're pregnant I just went on several walks a day. I lost my pregnancy weight by the time he was 2 1/2 months! So, I strongly recommend if your pregnancy goes well to do some working out. Easier said than done when you're fatigued and have all the little aches and pains that pregnancy bring on. But, if you can even just do walks it helps so much! Good luck again!

Terah - Monday, 5 May
Thanks for the message. Wishing you success getting pregnant and carrying until term. I know how frustrating the "trying to get pregnant" thing can be (I did IVF with my 2nd). BTW, you're gorgeous! Take care!

sabsi - Monday, 5 May
thank you for the comment!

You are so funny!! I am so happy they discovered the problem- and so simple!! I got gestational diabetes with my last pregnancy and I was and still am in denial about it because I just crave sugar when I'm pregnant so I eat crap constantly- I'm starting it agian so I need to watch out. I would literally eat doughnuts for dinner- ridiculous.
Did they tell you to watch your diet carefully when you do get pregnant or is that something that the medication will take care of for you? I'm just so happy you got some answers!

shosho - Friday, 25 April
Sorry I've been off for a few days- it's the busy time of year for me. I haven't really had the bad hormones this time around THANK GOD- that is the worst part of being pregnant for me, I hate not being in control of my emotions. I'm so glad you told me that about your siblings-I really only hear that story though- no one says I really wish I had spaced out my kids more or I really wish my brother and I had more years between us- everyones always like I would do it all over agian exactly the same way if I could or We are best friends and have been our whole life.
I've scheduled my 3D ultrasound on May 10th (it's my mothers day present from my hubby) so I'll know if we are having another boy or a girl in 2 weeks! I'm so excited I can't stand it.
