Well not too much longer to go now..I'm 33 weeks at the moment. I had a growth scan yesterday and baby is already weighing 5lb!!! I'm hoping to be induced at 38 weeks providing my cervix is "favourable". Oh and we found out its a BOY! So excited, we already have our little girl so a baby boy is just lovely.

Wednesday, 9 July Oh wow! I just guessed how far long you were on the bellies photobook and I was WAYYYYYYYYYY off...
I was off by EIGHT weeks...
I'm not a very good judge I guess! lol! lizzie287 -
Wednesday, 9 July Oh my goodness, the heaviness ... lol ... Yesterday the swelling in my feet finally went down so I thought, great, I'll go for a walk! I made it half way down my block before I thought my belly was going to burst, but I carried on until my hips would not move anymore - a full block away from my apartment. Pitiful eh? But then I got home, couldn't even put enough pressure on my leg to take my shoes off, and once I sat down ... thatwas it. You can imagine how much fun getting up to pee all night last night was. I'm still in agony right now. I'll be glad when this is over! lizzie287 -
Wednesday, 9 July Lol oh I know that most first time moms go over. I'm trying not to get my hopes too high for an early baby, and it's not even like my doctor is suggesting I'll go early. At least I know worst case is they'll induce me a week after my due date. And yes. I am not having fun. Waiting is VERY frustrating! lizzie287 -
Tuesday, 8 July Nope definitely not in labour... Everything stopped about 2 hours after I got home. Every day I get the same damn thing, but it takes a while to get regular and then it just friggin stops! I'm sure you can imagine my frustration.
One thing that's new - when I get just the tightening, Braxton Hicks contractions, my belly is just now getting SO TIGHT that I get that tingly feeling like you get when your foot falls asleep, at the top of my belly! I imagine that must be normal ... and I hope that means that my uterus is nice and strong and I'm gonna have a fast labour lol. lizzie287 -
Monday, 7 July Actually last night I went into the hospital because we actually did start timing them and they were coming 4 minutes apart, lasting about a minute and 20 seconds, consistently increasing in frequency and intensity. I was so deflated when the nurse said "You're still pretty much closed, but your cervix is in a really good position". .... UGH! They did offer me morphine though before they sent me home so that's gotta be a sign that I'm getting there, right? lol
The pains pretty much feel like I'm having a really bad period. I don't usually get cramps but when I do they are excruciating. These are like a dull ache in my back that is constantly there and periodically wraps around and gets more intense, then backs off to the dull ache again. They sometimes come with tightening, sometimes without, and more often than not the tightenings come on their own between the cramps ... so I really don't know what to think of them! lizzie287 -
Monday, 7 July Not so much excited as getting a touch nervous now ... I'm on to week 38 tomorrow and I've been having some God awful cramps ... I can time them but I'm not a 100% sure they're contractions ... I hate that everyone says "You'll know" ... Yeah sure, I'll know when there's a head sticking out lol. angelle23 -
Monday, 7 July Thanks for commenting on my photo. She is a really happy baby. I couldn't ask for better. both my kids were really happy babies,
I guess I am one of the lucky ones. Congrats on your pregnancy. Your almost there. Won't be long now. Wishing you all the best with your delivery. coltonsmom -
Sunday, 6 July Oh, my dear, what I wouldn't do to look like you. I never got that big with my other son. I felt fat, like I didn't look pregnant... just chubby and I felt ugly. You can hold your head up and proudly show that belly!! How fantastic! I'm praying I get a little bigger this time around but so far, I've only gained 4 lbs. *sigh* I'm almost 7 months along. I do have a belly, but if I don't wear something clingy, I still just look chubby. For my son, I only gained 12 lbs. start to finish and he was still born almost 7 lbs. - 2 weeks early. Some women carry differently. It's funny huh? Women with big bellies have different concerns with "comments" from strangers and what not but those of us with little bellies have feelings like we've been robbed of the full experience. hahaha. I bet you get more attention and empathy from people, whereas, I feel like if I say I feel so tired - people can't understand why. :) I'd trade with you in a heartbeat. lizzie287 -
Sunday, 6 July I'm doing better. I'm glad I wrote out everything that day, it definitely made it a little easier to process getting it out of my head. And really ... the more I think about it the more I realize it's not that bad ... I guess the Ryan and the ex thing was just making everything worse than it was. I have a tendency to expect the absolute worst and turn problems into a much bigger issue than it is - case in point, freaking out that Ryan would get mad at me for feeling the way I did? Come on. lol. Is your little guy moving around a bit more now? lizzie287 -
Friday, 4 July Yeah the baby is definitely getting squished in there at this point so that probably is it. I don't remember if you said you tried orange juice? Sometimes that helps me get mine going when I start to worry. Or else, the one thing that ALWAYS works for me - it's a little controversial but meh - is I'll drink a large iced cappucino. I don't drink a lot of coffee or pop so when she does get that rush of caffeine, my ribs become a soccer ball lol. If you're not horribly opposed to caffeine in pregnancy, you might try that? Friday, 4 July aww, isn't that so friggin hard! I'm having more trouble with sleep now too...can't get comfy and I'm getting sore all over again..ugh! Hollye -

Friday, 4 July Holy crap! I just looked at your 2 newest polls pics from 31+4 days and 31+5 days and you look like you dropped so much! lizzie287 -
Thursday, 3 July Hey girl, thanks so much for your comments to my blog. I honestly didn't expect anyone would read it, so the support I've gotten is really making me feel better about having to talk to Ryan tonight about everything. I still feel a little silly, just because I know him and really, I know that there's probably nothing going on and he's just having trouble getting comfy on the couch or something, but to know that everyone else seems to have the same opinion about the ex as I do is comforting.
I saw your post about the baby not moving. When I was 32 weeks I had the exact same problem, only I hadn't felt the baby move AT ALL in 24 hours. I had a mini panic attack and went screaming into the maternity ward. Turns out the baby had just turned in toward my spine and the kicks were just going toward my back and there isn't much back there to sense them. She was moving around like a champ, her heartbeat was really strong and she was happy as can be in there. I wouldn't worry too much, but to be safe it really doesn't hurt to call your hospital and go in for an assessment to ease your mind. That's what they're there for and they really don't mind seein ya. CanadianNat -
Thursday, 3 July haha, so is mine. I find it has a super active phase for like 3 or 4 days and then like a chilled out relaxed stage for like 2 or 3 days. It's funny how they have routine's already. I'm pretty good today...only thing that is bothering me is the heat but I can't do much about that. I woke up this morning to an ungodly smell in my kitchen and I looked under my cupboard to find that the bag of potatoes that I had just got were full of digusting moldiness and other yucky stuff that I won't mention cuz seriously I don't wanna make you throw up...lol. I was almost throwing up as I was cleaning my cupboard out and it actually stained the wood that was underneath it so the smell is still kinda stuck there...ugh...it just is beyond gross. Do you know anything that will help peel that stink out of the wood? Other than that unfortunate event how are you doing today? CanadianNat -
Thursday, 3 July ah, I hate when they don't move around for awhile! Mine is like that today too..very quiet and lazy I guess..lol. I can still feel it's movements every now and then though when I lay my hand on my belly for a bit. They have their good days and bad days to I suppose..must be a tired baby today!! CanadianNat -
Wednesday, 2 July Yes, actually it seems a lot better..(knock on wood) I don't wanna jinx myself..lol. My skin seems to be pretty dry now though from using that cream so I've been putting Aveeno on too to see if it'll help with the dryness. I hope it will stay away and not come back now..how are you today? CanadianNat -
Wednesday, 2 July Oh, gosh I have no idea! I'm hoping at my next appointment on the 8th that my doctor will have it on her file cuz I honestly do not remember what that on call doctor had told me about it...don't remember the name for sure cuz he was soo fast it just went in one ear and out the other. He gave me the steroid cream for it though and today it seems less itchy and way easier to deal with but it could also be cuz I was soo busy today and I wasn't concentrating on it. 7 weeks is a long time to deal with that...you must have been drove mad!
