Hi, my name is Carrie. I am 31 years old and have a 6 1/2 year old daughter from a previous marriage. I am now remarried to the most amazing man in the world and expecting our son in May. This is actually the 4th time I have been pregnant. My first daughter Brooklynne Anne was stillborn (I was 27 weeks), she weighed 1lb 13oz, I had her on July 21, 2000. The following year on June 12th I delivered a healthy baby girl, Zoie Grace, she weighed 6lbs 12 oz. In 2005 I had a miscarriage around 12 weeks and had to have a D&C. So here I am... baby number 4! I am so excited about having a boy this time!!! This pregnancy has been fairly uneventful... so far anyway. I have had killer sciatic nerve pain (thankfully by husband is a physical therapist) but besides that I've been great. And most importantly our baby is doing wonderfully!!! The next few weeks are going to be a little worrisome because of my past experience but I'm confident (with the help of my trusty fetal doppler) that everything will be ok...

------January 28------

24 weeks tomorrow, I can't believe it! I had to go to the hospital on Sunday because I was having some really bad cramps. They monitored me and the baby for about an hour and a half and checked to make sure that I wasn't dilating. I was on bedrest for the rest of the day and my Dr. gave me procardia to "relax my uterus". Anyway, today I'm doing fine. I go back to the doctor on Feb. 15 for the gestational diabetes test (I had it with my daughter )....

------Januray 31------

I started reading The Girlfriends Guide To Pregnancy by Vicki Iovine and absolutely love it. God bless that woman!! I was out shopping today and had two young girls break in front of me in line, I got mad then decided to put a "curse" on them for when and if they are ever pregnant, and quite uncomfortable, that they will get horrible ugly stretch marks!!! After that I quietly laughed to myself and felt much better! :-)

------February 15------

Well as I suspected I completely failed my initial gestational diabetes test with a 169. So, we get to go back on Wednesday for the ever so lovely 3 hours test. The good news is that I also get to have my 4D ultrasound that same day. I can't wait to see my little man again! Then in three weeks I go back to start my weekly non-stress test.

Good news-I passed my second glucose test!! We had my 4D ultrasound today, he is 2lbs 6oz and absolutely adorable!!!!

------April 1------

Nonstress test going great! Dr. is going to do final ultrasound and check my cervix in two weeks!!!! Almost there!!!!
