My profile
Hello Fellow Mommies- to-Be. My name is Casey and I am pregnant with my first child, due this October. I just got married last November. Hubby and I were going to start trying this summer but surprise...we got pregnant in January instead. We are super excited! I'd love to chat with anyone as summer vacation is starting soon and I know I'm just going to be bored to tears. This process is already so tedious as it is. But I'm particularly interested in meeting people that live in Mesa, AZ. I'd also like to know if anyone has had any complications or successes with pregnancy after a cone biopsy. I had one several years ago and now my doctor wants me to start getting weekly ultrasounds starting in week 18, so that's got me a little nervous. Good luck to everyone and take care for now. Love, Casey

Monday, 16 June Thank you very much for your PM.
It is great to hear that there is STILL hope for me yet..!!
I've calmed down a little over the past couple of weeks, trying not to stress myself out over it..as what will be - will be.
I've only got 5 (lol) more weeks till I find out my fate (as in will I be shifted to a city hospital 700kms away) so until then..I'll go with the flow.
mwah, and thanx again Hun, I'll be in touch with you when I find out more.

Tuesday, 6 May I had a Leep-Cone at the end of November 2007 after getting a bad report on a routine Pap. The procedure and diagnosis scared me to death mainly because my husband and I had just got married and I was worried about the effects on any future pregnancy. My husband and I decided to try. thinking it would take a while to get pregnant; however, after time number one we got a positive test. I haven't had a pap to check and see if they got it all out in November but am scheduled for one on Friday morning. I have asked time and time again if the cone would cause an incompetant cervix but they insist it doesn't. With this pregnancy I am carrying super low and fear any complication. After I go on Friday for my check up I will let you know what the doc says about my questions. Its nice to know I'm not the only one concerned about that! carolinagirl -
Tuesday, 6 May I had a leep proceedure after being diag. with stage 0 cervical cancer. From my understanding from my doctor you have a small chance of having an incompetant cervix after leep or cone. I have been having physicals every appointment to check if my cervix is shortening and so far so good. He did say that having a vaginal ultrasound is the best way to check he feels that the physicals are good for now and will do a vaginal if deemed neccessary. So far no ultrasound, but I go every appointment anticipating one but physical says everything is ok. It is a NORMAL proceedure to ensure that our cervix is withstanding the pregnancy. Does this help? kourtnee -
