About me and the baby...
Hey, my name is Cassy. I got married right out of high school on March 23, 2002 to Sam. On January 15, 2005 we had our first baby. His name is Grant Matthew Cook.
We just found out on the 19th of January that we are pregnant again, we are so happy!! I am due on
October 4, 2008. It seems like forever away but I know it will go fast!! We decided that we are going to find out what we are having with this one, we didn't with our son. So we are really excited about that!!
If you would like to know anything else just ask...
Valentines Day I will be 7 weeks. So far the everything is going pretty good, a couple of scares at first but had them checked out and the dr. thinks everything will be fine. I go in tomorrow for a check up. I am a little sick to my stomach but not actually getting sick just feel it. Well that is all for now I will keep everyone updated on how things are going!!
Well I went into the Dr.'s and he said he wanted to wait until my March 3 appointment to do an ultrasound. I will be a little over 9 weeks then and they will be able to see the baby's heart beat on the doppler better hopefully without a false reading like last time. So I am kinda looking forward to that only 2 weeks away!! Other than that everything is going just fine.
Well I went to the doctors on Monday, March 3. He said everything seems to be going as it should!! I have an ultra sound scheduled for Tuesday March 11. So I will know more about how the baby is doing when I go for that. He couldn't hear the heart beat but said that this is to be expected since I was only 9 weeks and two days. So that is why I am going for the ultrasound!! I will let everyone know how it goes!!

Well I went in for my ultra sound today and it was all good!! The heart beat was 161 and that is good!! They moved my due date back to September 26!! So that makes me 11 weeks and 4 days not 10 weeks and 3 days!! So that was exciting to know. I will have and ultra sound to find out what I am having somewhere between the second week and the fourth week of May! I can not wait!!! Well that is all for now!! I will keep everyone posted!!
March 19
Well I know they say that I am to early to feel the baby moving but I am telling you that I really felt it move on Monday, then again on Tuesday and today it hasn't stopped. So I am starting to wonder if maybe I am not further along then they think. my first u/s said October 4 my second one said September 26, I guess we will just have to wait and see until the next u/s. I am going to talk to my doctor about it I go in on April 2. Well just thought I would let everyone know how I am doing, please leave a comment and let me know how you are doing!!

Well I went in for my check up today and everything was good :)! The heart beat was 141 bpm. I go back in on the 30th of this month for my next check up and then we get to make an appointment to hopefully find out the sex of the baby!!! Well that is about it everything has been going pretty good and uneventful!!!!

Well I went into the doctors Monday due to some cramping and a little bleeding. They checked the heart beat and it was 151 bpm so that was really good!! They told me that it was just from my ligaments stretching for the reason I was bleeding. It seems so weird and I am sure some of you are saying well dont you know what that feels like cause I already have a little one, but this pregnancy is way different!! I have never had the pain I have with this one!! This baby sits so low and I am in pain almost every time I move from a position I have been in for more than 5 min. I almost feel like my body is falling apart!! But anyways yesterday (tuesday) I had to go in for a u/a and it all came back good but they called me and told me I have to go in for my rogam ( I'm sure I didn't spell that right) shot because of my crapping, see I have A- blood type and I have to get a shot to make sure that my body doesn't attack that baby since my blood type is negative, if you have positive blood type you don't have to have this shot. So today I will go in for my shot. Then next Tuesday I go in for my regular ob check up and actually get to see my dr. and not someone else!!!! But when I was in there on Monday Dr. Marcus ordered an ultrasound so I go in on May 6 for that, and we are hoping that the baby cooperates and lets us see if it is a boy or a girl!! Well I think that is all for now I will keep you updated with anything else that happens!!

Well I went into the doctors yesterday for my month ob check up. Everything seems to be going really good. The heart beat was 138 so it is back down again. When I was talking to Sam's mom yesterday she said well maybe the heart beat is so different b/c there is 2 in there, lol, she thought is was funny. I think this baby is just trying to confuse us,lol!! I had my 3 part blood test done yesterday also. See my views on this test have changed, when I was pregnant with Grant I thought what is the point in getting the test done cause it didn't matter what it showed I would keep my baby even if it did have something wrong with it, so why worry about it. Well this time I talked to Sam and we both have a different mind set now, we think we would like to know cause then if there is something wrong we want to be able to research it and find out as much as possible on whatever would be wrong and not to mention finding doctors that specialize in the area we would need. We are not expecting to have to do any of this but I would like to be prepared that is all. At the lab they said it would take several days to get the blood test back so I am guessing probably a week or so. I know that God will not give me more than I can handle!!! Well we go in on Tuesday to find out what we are having, and it could not get here fast enough, I will make sure to let you all know when I find out as long as the baby cooperates with us!! Until then...........

Well I went to the doctors today and I am having a boy!!!! We are so excited!! everything was good on the ultrasound and his heart beat was 148. My blood test came back and everything was good!! Just wanted to let everyone know what I am having!!!

Hey! i just read your comment... So you've dropped and contractions have started already? I noticed that I dropped on Saturday, and I have been experiencing crap-like pains in my belly, but I don't think they're contractions... Wow! I can't believe we're almost done being prego!

I'm measuring 2 weeks farther along too and my doctor didnt seemed conserned..or at least didnt say anthing bad about it...but then when I went for my ultrasound, he was measuring 2 weeks behind!? I was and still am totally confused and i'm asking my doctor about it at my check-up thursday. The ultrasound tech said that babies will measure and weigh all differently, its not how it is when were 10wks or anything like that....but still worries me a little. They said my son weighed 2lbs 2oz. 2 weeks ago, so I hope its normal! Congrast to you!!

See my page under blogs Helpful Advice for information about pelvic pain. Briefly, I am seeing a chiropractor, and I always feel better when I leave there. Because of pregnancy, my pelvis is having a difficult time staying in place, and it sounds like the same thing is happening to you.

I get the same pain you get. Unfortunately I have nothing to take the pain away. I just gotta deal with it until baby is born. I told my doctor about it and she said it was common and she just referred me to a chiropractor but I dont have money for that. So I sit and lay in pain everyday.

I was 3 weeks 4 days when we found out. It has seemed to not go by slowly or fast for me, but I am beginning to feel that I need to kick into second gear because there's only 16 weeks left. Four months sounds longer than 16 weeks, but in weekly terms, that's not long at all, and there is still much to do for Thumper's arrival.

It has worked for me--drinking a lot of water. This past Friday was the first time I had any swelling, and I did not drink as much water I usually do. So, Saturday, as I was painting and standing on my feet practically 14 hours of the day, I drowned myself in water, and no swelling occurred. So, only that one day during my whole pregnancy when I was painting and not drinking much water at all is the only day I've experienced swelling.

How much water are you drinking. Contrary to what it may seem, drink more water to alleviate swelling. I believe Judi posted that by doing so, the water carries away the proteins and such that cause the swelling. You may want to ask her directly about this.

No we didnt get to find out at my 20wk scan. At first the doctor thought it looked like a girl then he looked again and it looked like a boy cause we saw a pointy thing lol but the thing is he didnt see testicles so he said hes 60% girl which that doesnt really tell me much. So we have to wait til birth or unless this new doctor I have gives me an u/s.

I also get the bh contractions. I have an appt on Wednesday and plan on asking the doc if its okay. I sometimes get them right after another but then they stop all of a sudden. They dont hurt too bad but they are kind of painful and I cant breathe right when I get them. With my last daughter I got them from 5 months on up and the doc said I was okay I just need to drink lots of water. Let me know what your doctor tells you okay. I'm doing great, except early this morning we had lighting strike a huge tree in our back yard and split it in half!! Most of it went through our next door neighbors roof over their garage. So my husband and I are spending the next day and a half cutting up limbs and branches and hauling them away. At least we have a few friends and family helping us!! TTYL
