I'm known as Catbertie living in the midwest, USA. Mom to two beautiful little girls who joined our family through the wonders of international adoption. We have a "surprise" bundle arriving in January.... a baby boy!!
At our 19 week ultrasound, we not only received the news of our little guy but learned that his lateral brain ventricles are "on the high side" of normal. They are measuring at 9mm each. We've been to a specialist with a repeat ultrasound (at 22 weeks) with no change. The specialist is not overly concerned, but does wish to see me back at week 30.
At my 24 week OB appointment I learned that I am measuring 4 weeks ahead. Is our little guy going to be big like his uncle (my brother was over 10 pounds at birth) or am I measuring ahead because I am carrying him in my chest!?!?!?! Think it's too early for me to request a c-section?????
My 3rd trimester blood screenings sucked!! I'm borderline anemic meaning I get to take iron supplements and be constipated. I'm also "on the high side of normal" for glucose levels (haven't I heard this high side of normal bit before???) so I know my OB will say I have GD too. Since I work for a lab, I get results before she does.
Yup, I have the pleasure of measuring my blood glucose levels 4 times a day until the end of my pregnancy. Hooray for me!!!!
Completed the 30 week ultrasound this past Monday (Nov. 3) and received very good news. The physician didn't give me measurements, but said "he looks like a normal baby to me!!" I do know that our little guy is still measuring 3 weeks ahead and weighs 3.5 pounds.

I'm now 39 weeks along and scheduled to be induced Thursday Jan 15th.......
