I Have SPD as well...self diagnosed but my doc agrees. It started 4-6 weeks ago and some days are better than others. Some days I wake up in the middle of the night in tears because my hips/pelvis hurt so much. Other times, when i try to get out of bed, it feels like I have fractured my pelvis. Doc said physical therapy can help but I think I just need to take it easy, rest when I can and keep using my Snoogle...it's a life saver!!!

My doc has not diagnosed me with SPD, but I am certain that is what it is. The pain can be excrutiating when I walk. My docs don't seem to want to label it anything but pregnancy pains, but it is more that that. It is very severe. I am on bedrest anyway though, so I have to stay off my feet which helps. I don't think even docs can understand the SPD unless they experience. It is NOT just sore ligaments! They said they could refer me to a prenatal physical therapist but I am going to try and just get thru the next 6 weeks or so without that. I know once the baby is born, it will likely go away. It did with my daughter. Anyway, good luck with it!

I fell really unatractive these days. I'm almost at the point of ruling out sex until after the baby's born. Maybe too much info. for ya, but it's true.LOL

Exactly! :)

Ok, cool! Seems like a lot of the girls are having them now and mostly in March, so it's nice to know I'm not alone in the April Shower department. :)

Thanks soo much for your message. I think I'm going to go in today and see my doctor. The pain is getting worse and this my third pregnancy, and something just doesn't feel right. :(

I was wondering the same thing I'm kinda hoping my doctor does another one because our insurance will pay for it. She's done 3 so far the first we had was at 5 weeks cause i was crampin on one side and she wanted to make sure it wasnt ectopic the next was at 11 weeks. I'm not that sure why she did that one and then we just had one at 21 weeks. I miss seeing her already even tho i can still feel her lol:) I guess we could always pay for an extra one if my doctor wont let us but my doctor is pretty understand you could always just ask them. Goodluck and congratulations!!

As far as I know, they only do one or two ultrasounds throughout the entire pregnancy unless there are problems or complications. I just had my third u/s today because my placenta was over my cervix (placenta previa) and they wanted to check and see if it's moved up since my last ultra sound when I found out I was having a girl. There are places that offer 3D & 4D ultrasounds but you have to pay for them out of pocket. Good luck with your pregnancy!

Hi Cate,
dont worry about gaining weight. You are still young and unless you have a really unhealthy lifestyle, you will lose the weight as soon as you start breastfeeding. I have already gained 26,5lbs so your 12lbs is NOTHING! :-) I am not fat though - I was very thin before so I have been lucky in that respect I guess :)'
I wish you, your baby and boyfriend all the best!!

Lina x

That sounds really bizarre to me! I wouldn't worry, she probably just told you wrong...or you have one huge baby :-) This site says the baby should be 9 oz in week 20...I went at 20w3d and my little girl is 13 oz!

CONGRAT...THANKS

svrider - Thursday, 13 Dec
I think I am hoping for a girl, just because I really like the girl name I have picked out. The boy name we've already decided is to be after my boyfriends dad, which is fine but it's not as fun as my girl name :)

svrider - Wednesday, 12 Dec
OH! You already know the sex! I am jelous,,,have to wait another 2 weeks!
Congrats on your little girl! :)

danish-girl - Tuesday, 11 Dec
Hi! I will be in week 17tomorrow :-) Last week I felt my baby twice and now I haavent felt him for a week (I think its a boy ;-))

And reading what other people say - it sound as if it is pretty normal. ;-)

dreambaby16 - Tuesday, 11 Dec
we don't find out till Dec. 28th, since we are out of town week prior. Feel like a kids waiting for Santa though, I can't WAIT!

meghan815 - Tuesday, 11 Dec
Hey drink some really cold orange juice and lay down in the bed...pay attention and you should feel the baby move. The coldness will get their attention, but it has lots of natural sugars that will wake them up and get them energized!

kristink21 - Tuesday, 11 Dec
Hey girl the exact same thing happend to me and i called and told the doctor and they let us come in and listen to the heartbeat..it was a huge relief and defiently help me get through the weekend:)

dreambaby16 - Monday, 10 Dec
Cate, I'm with you and driving myself nuts. this is my 3rd, but it has been awhile. I swear one day last week I felt the baby all day, and then hardly at all since. Stresses me out. I want a girl, so now my calming words to myself are 'it is just a mellow girl'. hang in there, that baby girl will be beating up your insides soon. good luck to you .
