We found out we were expecting quite early. After about 3 years of what my husband calls "not not trying" I had become fairly certain my daughter was going to be an only child. I began feeling nausea very early and really wasn't sure if this was it. I took a test about a week before I should have and it came up positive. I called my doctor after I missed my period and again another positive. He referred me to an OB and 2 weeks after my first test I had an ultrasound. I was only 5 weeks pregnant. It has been a long road so far. I had preterm labor starting at 28 weeks with my daughter but was lucky enough to have her at 371/2 weeks. This time it started at 26 1/2 weeks. I am currently on bed rest and brethine and slowly going stir crazy.

I took the 2nd glucose test today - yes failed the first one. Keep your fingers crossed. Monday I go back to the Doctor to find out the results. While inbetween blood drawings I spoke with another woman there due on the same day. Maybe we will see each other in February. It seems so far off but then again so close. Dave and I toured the labor and delivery area and know where to go and what to do once we have the C section appointment or if this preterm labor gets out of control again. I remember very vividly when I hit 20 weeks and was so excited it was 1/2 over ( actually only seems like last month). It is slowly taking hold that there are only 11 weeks to go until the due date, and possible we could have a very healthy mature baby in only 8 weeks.
